I think I may have to try and keep them very busy. Distract them. Then I'll need to think of some way to convince them that Officer Dougherty and I are truly in love. They are having difficulty believing that a cop would be in love with me. stressed

They have never met him and considering the family business and all they probably assume that he's either after my money, wanting a way to infiltrate the "family" or both. They think that since its something they might do then its only natural that someone else of the same gender would also do it or be capable of it. Thankfully my family never had to worry about me dating for awhile. I even got spared "The Talk" from my folks.
