Dylan turned slightly, noticing a slight shimmer by Olan. I see you, Spirit. He thought quietly, knowing that spirits could pick up on certain people's thoughts. Whoever that may be, Olan seemed to know that it was there as well. And he didn't react much, so it must be a friendly spirit. Dead family member? Most likely.
Dustynn continued to argue with Sheila about the gang borders and war declarations. Bargaining with Demitri was like bargaining with somebody who couldn't speak English. Bargaining with Sheila was like asking the Mafia not to kill you for a cookie. It was pointless...

"Oh drat, I was caught," Somuka said, no longer hiding her voice. "Looks like there's no use hiding in the shadow." It wasn't even her problem if she was discovered, though both Dustynn and Olan seemed to be worried about that and what would happen after. As mentioned before, it wasn't her problem.
Olan was at first a bit afraid now that the person named Dylan had discovered Somu's presence, but the lack of severe reaction didn't pose a threat either. With that in mind, he calmed down a little and just continued to wonder what was going on in the meeting room. At the moment, he felt a little hopelessness, as if Dustynn's gang was just going to lose the argument.

"I'm guessing the more demonic presence earlier wasn't you, then?" Dylan thought lightly, a nonchalant tone in his voice. "Perhaps Lady Demitri, then?" He asked, looking at Olan with slight fascination. "It's amazing how Dustynn can read your thoughts... I've always wondered about you." Dylan began calculating.

Olan was a little confused. Why was Dylan looking at him? If he was trying to send thoughts, it was unfortunate that Olan wasn't able to hear them. Oh dear. What was he supposed to do? Was he supposed to send a random thought to Dylan and tell him that he couldn't hear thoughts?

"But it seems that you cannot read mine... and if my hypothesis is correct, you don't understand sign-language." Dylan sighed quietly, laughing a soundless laugh. Then Marissa appeared behind Dylan and smiled lightly. "What'cha laughing at, Dylan?" She asked quietly, then she looked at Olan and smiled. "The meeting's almost over, but we gotta get out of here quickly. I think Dustynn just pissed off Sheila a bit more than he usually does." Marissa sighed, walking away to go and grab a bike.

Olan was a little more worried now. Dustynn was mad? That had to mean they were losing the argument. In that case, what was going to happen? Would he have to stay with the female gang leader in order to prevent a gang war? This was bad, very bad, and there was nothing he could do to lighten the situation.
Once again, Somuka was aware of Olan's distress, but she couldn't comfort him. There was no doubt he was afraid of staying behind. Unfortunately, she had very little control over the situation, if she had any at all. The only thing she could do now was to just hope for the best.

A small walkie-talkie crackled to life on Dylan's shirt. It was Dustynn's voice on the other end. "Get the hell out of there, now!" He said, fear and urgency mixed into his voice. A flying object sounded, and what sounded like broken glass joined it as well. Immediately, Dylan grabbed Olan's hand and began to lead him away from the building. Soon, the rest of the gang was outside, all except for Dustynn.
"Where is he?" Marissa screamed as she brought the bikes out. One of the gang members pointed back into the hide out, but then the walkie-talkie crackled to life again. "Didn't I tell you to hurry up and get out?!" Dustynn hissed into the other side. Then the line went dead, and a walkie-talkie went flying out the window of the building.

For some reason, Olan had lost it. There was probably turmoil going on and Dustynn could easily get himself killed. There was no way he would just stand by and watch. Without thinking, he ran into the hide out, and he could feel his sister following closely behind. It was hard running around in the place, since it was terribly unfamiliar, but that was only a small problem on Olan's mind. The main thing was trying to keep death away from Dustynn.
He knew his sister was begging him to turn back, but he didn't want to. He didn't want to lose another person important to him, even if that person was responsible for the deaths of most of his friends. It was never his fault anyway, so there was no need for Olan to just turn his back.

Dustynn was just slightly caught up against a wall with a knife flashing at his neck. Sheila's patience had worn a little bit too thin, and he had pushed her over the deep end. Now she was out to kill him. "You know, I would love oh-so very much to tear that pretty face off your body!" Sheila hissed menacingly, pressing the knife closer to the boy's skin. He could already feel a small trace of blood running down his neck.
"Tearing off my pretty face wouldn't do you much good." Dustynn muttered humorlessly, which gave him a slice down the side of his face.

"Olan, you are officially an idiot!" Somuka shouted as she followed her brother through the hide out. "Just go back outside before you get yourself killed!" She was angry that Olan had decided to run into the danger zone. What in the world was he thinking? He had tried to do the same thing eight years ago, and from what Somuka could tell that resulted in dusty lungs.
After finally finding the room, Olan ran in, but stopped just a foot past the door. What was he supposed to do? Try to take the knife away? There was no doubt that it was impossible, especially for a boy who couldn't defend himself.

At the sounds of footsteps entering the room, Sheila punched Dustynn in the gut before looking behind her. Much to her 'pleasant' surprise, she saw that it was Olan, and immediately, a look of content washed across her face. "Come to complete the deal, have you?" She asked seductively, although it was very obvious that she wasn't very good at what she did.
"Didn't I tell you to get out of here?" Dustynn screamed, just to get another knife right next to his face.
"Shut up, boy!" Sheila hissed.

Olan only stepped forward. He was at a loss for what to do now. He had reached his destination, but how was he going to stop the female gang leader from killing Dustynn? Even if he agreed to stay with her, that didn't mean she'll let her rival go. At the moment, Olan was in the helpless zone.

Dylan appeared behind Olan silently, almost as if he just materialized from thin air. With a quick, subtle nod from the gang leader, Dylan grabbed Olan by the shoulders and began to drag him out. He knew that Marissa would kill him for leaving Dustynn in there alone with a killer female, but women had their own way of working out their problems. And just as he thought this, Marissa came sprinting next to him, passing him as she skidded into the room.
A few punches and screams later, Marissa popped her head out of the doorway with a thumbs up sign and an unconscious Dustynn being dragged by his hair behind her. Dylan gave a small sigh of relief. At least... everybody in the gang was safe.

Olan panicked and struggled at first when Dylan dragged him away from the room, but he calmed down when he noticed Marissa dragging an unconscious but still alive Dustynn. So the female gang leader didn't kill him after all... right? He didn't know. He wasn't there to see the fight. That fact alone was unnerving, if he must think so.
Somuka was obviously still annoyed. Her brother had almost made the biggest mistake of his life, and all for nothing. Of course Dustynn was going to be rescued, so there was no need for Olan to run back and try to rescue him on his own. Heck, he didn't even have enough power to, so what in the world had gotten into him? Then something clicked in her mind and she mentally smirked. It looks like Olan was starting to return Dustynn's feelings.

~~*~~ Time Skip ~~*~~
Dustynn was riding on the back of Marissa's bike when he woke up again. The girl had taken Dustynn's spot as the head of the motor brigade, and it seemed like she was enjoying it, too. Dylan had taken Dustynn's bike and was riding it with Olan behind him. Well now, it looks like everybody made it out... Dustynn thought, tightening his grip around Marissa's waist as she accelerated in speed.
"Hey, you're awake!" Marissa cheered. "We're almost home, don't worry. Olan's safe, too." She smiled gleefully. Dustynn smiled at that, too. At least they didn't have to leave Olan behind.
