So, in interest of changing the subject, I'm going to change the subject. (Obvious, no?)
If I were rich, I would own a coffee plantation. Think about it. Over the long term, the price for me to make a pot of coffee four times a day would be practically nothing, whereas it currently costs me about $5 a week.
Sad how I felt the need to figure the math on that too...

Coffee is more than good. Coffee is essential. What else keeps your heart beating as it transports energy to your body? Blood? Ha! A second-rate coffee knockoff at best. I owe my life to coffee. Took a bullet back for me in the war it did--the Great War, not one of those feeble little conflicts people call know adays. Damn the Kaiser--I'd have caught up with him in Berlin if it weren't for those politicians and my bad knee and I think maybe it's time for my medication again . . . .

I think I'd like to start a library (thread) full of blasphemous tomes, romance novels, cheap crime thrillers and Jack Chick tracts - but I've already got two threads going that I rarely have time to visit or even keep alive.
Anybody want to help?

Hey, that's not a bad idea. I'm sure lots of folks out there have fan fic they'd like to share. We could maybe do a thread of geezer creativity?
I'd still like to call it a library.
Hmmm... I might end up doing that after all... would that be okay?

But.....but.....they is so minty!
Alright, enough of this. Between the urinal cakes & monkey-butt fondue, you all are gonna think I'm a sicko.
I was actually thinking of starting a cooking thread, some place for all us geezers to post up our favorite recipies & share the goodness.
