Personality: Sayuri has a personality almost befitting her lethargic appearance and pathologically emotionless voice. She can easily be described as someone with a quirky sense of humor and is the one to usually make others feel uncomfortable to give herself even the smallest amount of amusement. Although she has a slight sense of humor she is usually seen as an apathetic person; not smiling often or even laughing due to her upbringing, making it very surprising if someone manages to get an emotional reaction from her. For this reason if asked she would describe herself as a "people" person to some capacity but if asked how others view her the most common response would be a Kuudere. Most normally she tends to have a rather carefree attitude and is rather fond of drifting off into her own thoughts if she feels as though she isn't begin entertained. However when she is kept focused, Sayuri is very detail orientated and with her almost photographic memory can reproduce most anything shes seen; even if it was only for a few seconds. Working is usually the only time you'll see Sayuri seem to focus for any extended periods; her mind naturally focusing on fixing the issue. The same can also be said about combat; her movements still seemed lethargic, but everything calculated and methodical.

_ In any clan half-breeds are a bit of a hot topic; as the potential the child can have could be enough to reshape and alter the clan for generations to come; Sayuri's start was no different. Born of a Saiketsu and a Miyamoto clansmen for the neighboring village; she was brought to this world to be a child of peace, a symbol of the territory the small fraction clans had come to after months of arguing between them. Born of a forced marriage between a Miyamoto veterinarian and Saiketsu consensual member her family from its very basis was ill-prepared to have a child. With her parents forced into a relationship to bare peace without actual love between them the feelings between them were nonexistence; causing them to not really show much emotion around their child; which would in turn shape her personality it to what it would later become. Although she was a terr of this she was somewhat of a black sheep to certain members of the clan who didn't want peace better the clansmen and would often be treated unfairly within certain aspects of the group. To combat this her parents often kept her away from others depriving her of the interacts of people around her; giving her small task such as cleaning or even helping her mother occasionally taking care of injured animals.

_ Sayuri's interest in medicine would begin there as she would often find literature littered about on her topics of interest. She would look at diagrams and actual people; reciting the many bones and muscles and primary as well as potential secondary function. With this she would begin to fill the void of her emotions with knowledge. When she couldn't find people or diagram she would begin to draw them out from memory; until this would become something of common practice for her. It wasn't long before she would then try to draw scenery as well as people she had seen weeks, months or even years prior. She would do this for years to follow, before she would slowly begin to to meditation as away to organize her many, many thoughts; enough so that she would randomly do so throughout the day and even occasionally taking a bit of time to daydream as a normal child would and being for the most part in doors and unsupervised gave her all the time she could ask for for such things. As time would pass Sayuri would remain the same; her habits becoming permanent additions of her personality.

_ As Sayuri began to enter her teens her parents would inexplicably began to pay more attention to her. It was something new that she yet to experience and couldn't understand why. Unbeknownst to her the age of manifestation of the Saiketsu begins at fourteen and was the reason for her parents sudden interest. This was the first time they had actually realized their distance had adversely affected their child. They would make attempts to remedy what had been done, but nothing would work so they would simply let her be as they would await her kekki genkai to emerge. In Sayuri's case she would be a late bloomer, awaking her Saiketsu at the age of fifteen. Once she awoken her ability Sayuri would be sent off the academy to see what the half-breed was fully capable.

_ Upon entering the academy, Sayuri's names quickly became infamous amongst the instructor as her attention was often not on class. Her personality would also continue to further alienate her from the rest of her classmates as many wouldn't be able to tell what she was feeling or general happy expressions. Her time in the academy went by awfully quick; almost as if it was one of her day dreams. Once she had finished her final exam Sayuri would finally be ready to set forth on her new life as a shinobi.

Her entire build is based around nonlethal firearm like devices and a dart rifle that exists in guild in takumi. I can make changes as needed to p.a's and everything. ))

A former UHV chakra adept, Elizabeth began her career as a guard for low priority officers. She rose through the ranks slowly as recruit and was given training on all standard issue equipment that the uhv fielded. In a way she grew up in Otogakure and spent most of her life there. Though she was never the most durable person she trained extensively with the uhv in hand to hand combat, learning to defend herself with what she had. She was never able to keep in a close range fight for long. As such she carries a large combat survival knife and knows how to use it properly. The UHV trained in squad tactics and brutal efficiency to deal with opposition and Elizabeth is no exception as a chakra adept.

Her best friend in life assigned a suicide mission was the final straw with the uhv. She assigned herself to the same mission and took the girl to sunagakure. They were forced to part ways for a time, Elizabeth an active soldier of the uhv would unlikely be accepted into the village in her own mind and thus she began her life as a deserter of her military force.

Over the years she has seen a lot of work as an agent of chaos. She has worked for the various crime gangs for all sorts of jobs. From kidnapping, to murder, to bodyguard work she has done pretty much everything that was glamourous about the rogue lifestyle. She trained herself to not develop attachments over the years of work, and that nothing was guaranteed. Above all else, she has become an absolute nightmare to have as an enemy.

The fewer friends he has better in his mind, as it allowed for a form of introverted independence that he relishes. After all, at the end of the day, he was the big bad wolf. A troublemaker who hurts even as he tries to do good.

Carrying with it a weakness to silver that prevents it from absorbing hits from any attack that is wholly composed of the metal. Even further than that, attacks from fully silver weapons are considered one rank higher in strength when colliding with him.
• Himself. As good work as he does, probably the greatest weakness Fenris has is himself. Years of pushing people away has built him into a quiet and disagreeable man. Frequently preferring to do things by himself, his greatest joys in life have slowly begun to stem into him ‘letting loose’.

• His father’s curse, or The Keres' Kiss as he calls it.
• Paired with his first fear, getting close to others is a constant worry in the back of his thoughts.

• Blood Scent :: In true predator fashion, Fenris is able to distinguish the vitals of a target, as well a general glimpse into their mental state. Things such as heart rate and blood pressure are revealed to him like a polygraph machine. Then, similar to a polygraph machine, Fenris will use this ability by asking a general question that he knows the target will lie to in order to serve as a signature that is different from someone’s normal state. By comparing small This tells Fenris when a statement is a lie or half truth. Of course, as described above, the catch 22 with this ability is that Fenris must hear and know the target to have lied to him at least once before.

From the start of his birth, Fenris hit the ground running. In the grasslands that the rabbit's name as their home, so too was Fenris’s. While the origins of his lineage remain mostly secret, aside from his most recent kin. His mother, who was a greater rabbit by nature, and his father, a cursed soul, gave birth to Fenris as a firstborn through the heat of their passions. However, a happy family gathering was never something that Fenris would know.

Few names of the curse still exist to this day. No one who carries it survives long into life and those who are close to the victim are often the first to be doomed to be devoured by the ones they love. Fenris's father was no different, cursed to slither among the earth as a great wolf. He battled day and night, the terrible rotting affliction of his mind. It tore at everything he knew or was, even as it gave him power. When it was clear that his end was in sight, Fenris's father fled in an attempt to hurt as few as possible in his last moments of sentience. Meanwhile, Fenris's mother found herself unable to cope with reality.

Chasing after him, she brought with her now two sons: Fenris and Coello. Together they traveled in hopes of abating their father's insanity in the same way they had so many times before. The effort was futile, and Fenris watched first hand the death of his mother as she was ripped apart and devoured. All the while, determined Fenris did what he could to flee with his brother.

Despite getting away with his life, the impression the moment made on Fenris was profound. They were, by all meaning of the word, safe. Fenris was old enough to take care of his brother, but how long would that last when it was no secret how closely he had taken after his father? Better in his mind to cut ties now than to lead Coello down the same path their mother had taken. So, after finding a suitable replacement, Fenris left his younger brother in the care of a traveling magician. The closest shot at a loving life he could grant before he himself headed down his own road.

Much of said road was rocky. There were days when he had nothing to eat, sat in the ran, or even missed his old home. In time these were forgotten, scarred over by time, and Fenris found a new calling: freelance detective. Putting his nose to good use, and at the same time, offering him a chance to feel as though he can do some good before his time comes.

Thanks for waiting! It's no trouble if you start without a pet. I've talked it over with some of the crew, and this is what we came down to:
  • A Beast's Nature: A-okay!
  • Pack Alpha: This would be better as a custom technique. XAyame_HatakeX (quoted) has done something similar, so she'll be a good resource if you head down that path.
  • Blood Scent: This is better split into two pieces: enhanced perception of another's physical state, and ability to better see through lies based on someone's mannerisms/vitals/etc. The former would make a good Tamer Attribute, depending on the animal.
  • You have 10600 AC listed. Is this a returning character?


I really like those strengths and weaknesses; they're very well fleshed out. I'm getting vibes of a werewolf noir detective with a dark side. Hard-boiled, just like he takes his eggs.

    This is I think a miscommunication on my part. I only actually want the ability to be able to see through lies and half truths because like you figured out I am making a wolf boy detective! I just had ended up wanting to flavor it like a polygraph machine. That being said I think I removed the confusing bits so it's good now?

    Not quite! I had asked abut it earlier but I was hoping to transfer the AC that my previous character had into this one.

    Question! Would it be possible for me to hold off on creating my second PA? I'd prefer to take my time coming up with something for this character!

His mother, who was a greater rabbit by nature, and his father, a cursed soul, gave birth to Fenris as a firstborn through the heat of their passions. However, a happy family gathering was never something that Fenris would know.

Few names of the curse still exist to this day. No one who carries it survives long into life and those who are close to the victim are often the first to be doomed to be devoured by the ones they love. Fenris's father was no different, cursed to slither among the earth as a great wolf. He battled day and night, the terrible rotting affliction of his mind. It tore at everything he knew or was, even as it gave him power. When it was clear that his end was in sight, Fenris's father fled in an attempt to hurt as few as possible in his last moments of sentience. Meanwhile, Fenris's mother found herself unable to cope with reality.

Chasing after him, she brought with her now two sons: Fenris and Coello. Together they traveled in hopes of abating their father's insanity in the same way they had so many times before. The effort was futile, and Fenris watched first hand the death of his mother as she was ripped apart and devoured. All the while, determined Fenris did what he could to flee with his brother.

Despite getting away with his life, the impression the moment made on Fenris was profound. They were, by all meaning of the word, safe. Fenris was old enough to take care of his brother, but how long would that last when it was no secret how closely he had taken after his father? Better in his mind to cut ties now than to lead Coello down the same path their mother had taken. So, after finding a suitable replacement, Fenris left his younger brother in the care of a traveling magician. The closest shot at a loving life he could grant before he himself headed down his own road.

Much of said road was rocky. There were days when he had nothing to eat, sat in the ran, or even missed his old home. In time these were forgotten, scarred over by time, and Fenris found a new calling: freelance detective. Putting his nose to good use, and at the same time, offering him a chance to feel as though he can do some good before his time comes.

I just had ended up wanting to flavor it like a polygraph machine. That being said I think I removed the confusing bits so it's good now?

Personality:
• Sypher is a relatively quiet personality, preferring to remain anonymous in social settings after years of living in hiding due to an unfortunate misunderstanding in Kumogakure. He thinks about what he has to say and tries his best to understand what the other person needs. His personal belief in conversations is to listen to understand, not to respond, and so he can spend a lot of time trying to understand what is being said. However, this can be frustrating for some because he is also not very good at explaining himself. He can be rash with his actions, such as giving his son a last name without consulting his then partner. This causes frequent clashes as he doesn’t always remember to tell people the methods to his madness. He’s an adventure seeker but prefers to do the adventuring alone or with one other person. Exceptions can be made, of course, but only if any additional parties are known to him. He is uneasy around strangers but trusts the opinions and trust that other’s place in people so he can also be naive at times. This has gotten him in trouble on occasion so he’s not as trusting of others, though he doesn’t say it out loud. He spends quite a bit of time in his own head, thinking of anything from past events and friends, to creating new and interesting ideas, to just being in a bit of a cloud of no thoughts at all. This can make him seem standoffish, especially with his normally reserved and quiet personality. He does, however, have a very fiery temper when riled enough. This often manifests, or used to, in a LOT of property damage as he can drive earth, roots, and water into giant upheavals and attacks. Since he has forgotten most of his jutsu since getting out of Sero tree, though, he mostly just hits people with his bō staff if he wants to make them go away. Oh yes, he can be very childish at times. But these moments are very, very rare, and usually only occur in the presence of his family or those he perceives of as family. Deeper down, he has a fear of forgetting people and being abandoned, all of which come out when he is being childish as he will insist on going with the other party or will insist the other party not leave until after a set time.
• Important physical characteristics of note : Sypher’s torso, upper arms and shoulders, as well as his calves, are scarred from the Sero tree absorbing energy from him. On his torso, these are irregularly sized oval scars, with jagged edges, in a circle around his center body mass. They are faint, slight indentations and only barely discolored compared to the rest of his skin. These irregular oval scars are also along the top of his shoulders and down the back of his arms, getting smaller as they come closer to his elbows. On his calves, they are longer in shape and are harder to see, having healed more substantially than the others. All of these are covered by the bodysuit, except for those on his shoulders which are concealed under his yukata or other outer robe. In order to be aware of these scars, one must be very close to a portion of Syy’s naked body on which a scar can be seen. He also has a slender scar in the very middle of his chest and an identical one on the back. It is just the width and length of a standard katana blade. Finally, he has a bumpy, knotted scar behind each ear, only a few centimeters long but hard and unpleasant. These scars are why he keeps his hair so long.

• Isn’t very good with his Doton techniques, even before he forgot how to use them. Still struggles with them from time to time.

Sypher has been through a lot. As a former member of the village hidden in clouds, born an orphan and raised by the foster system, he was exposed to a viral agent that left him dying and violent. His actions led him to be driven out by a former student. Left at the gates of the village hidden in the mist, he rose through the ranks and became the leader of the village, finding someone he loved in the process. But as with all things, life was unsteady and ever changing. As he grew older, enemies from without and within attacked his village. In order to protect the village and his family, he ordered an evacuation and sealed the village. During the evacuation, Syy witnessed, or believed he witnessed, his young son falling to his death in the aftereffects of the Sero tree that Syy had created himself. Driven by anger and grief, he once more called upon a jutsu that allowed him to split himself into two people and sent them after the people responsible for the attacks on his village. Turning back into the village, he began to search for his son but the Sero tree grew out of control, threatening to take over the entire village. Intending to escape, he became trapped by his own creation and sealed into the roots of the Sero tree. The Sero tree fed on his energy (chakra), keeping him alive and trapped in suspended animation. As such, he did not age and has been trapped in his own mind since.

His family consists of Inka Hizara and Minowa Jaeger, though he doesn’t know if they are alive or dead. Inka, his long time lover and soulmate, and Minowa, the child he found and made his own. Both are the only thing that matters to Sypher and, trapped for the years that he was, he dreamed of them and them only. He met Inka early on in his arrival in the village and quickly became besotted with the other man, finding solace in his presence and comforted by the no nonsense attitude. Soon after their affection became mutual, Sypher attempted to reconcile with his old village, purely for the sake of peace. Failing that, he resigned himself to remaining in the village, a good thing considering his position rose to kage. Minowa was the strange byproduct of a plaguebearer’s attack on the village. Confronting a corpse from his past, that of a young woman who he had held a deep but strange connection with, Sypher was forced to watch her once again die. But in her place, a small baby which Sypher took with him. Unwilling to consign the child to a nameless existence in the foster system, one that he knew from his own unfortunate past, he claimed the child as his own. Giving Minowa a first name and then the last name of Jaeger, Sypher’s own last name before he claimed the Senju clan name that had been denied him in Kumogakure, he and Inka delighted in the boy’s existence.

In order to survive being trapped by the Sero tree and to stave off madness, Syy dreamed about his family. He dreamed that Inka and Minowa had gotten away safely, that the villagers he had tried to save had made it to other villages. He dreamed of his past, of those he had known and those who he had lost. As he dreamed of all of this, he slowly began to forget those things that had made him a formidable shinobi in the past. Techniques, skills, all those things he had learned were slowly wiped away like writing in the sand during a storm. His chakra was being eaten away by the Sero tree anyway and, while it would inevitably return if Syy ever escaped, what would be the point of knowing all those skills? He had no idea how long he had been trapped and if anything he knew would still be relevant. Or even possible. No, the only things he wanted to keep were the memories of those he loved. Even if they were lost to him, either through time or death or both. And so Sypher slept, cocooned in the roots and stone under the Sero tree to wait until he could get free.

Shusaku's father left him and his mother at the age of three. She was forced to raise him on her own, and provide for the two of them as best as she could, with the small income she was bringing in working at the flower shop. Growing up, he learned the values of working hard and helping others - especially his mother, by helping her cook, clean, and maintain the flower shop. When he was enrolled into the Academy, Shusaku was inspired by his sensei to be the best he could be. The man was almost like a father figure to him, and Shusaku absorbed his lessons like a sponge. Graduating the Academy, Shusaku aspired to become a great Shinobi, and to provide his mother with a better life, in thanks for raising him properly.

Personality:
• Sypher is a relatively quiet personality, preferring to remain anonymous in social settings after years of living in hiding due to an unfortunate misunderstanding in Kumogakure. He thinks about what he has to say and tries his best to understand what the other person needs. His personal belief in conversations is to listen to understand, not to respond, and so he can spend a lot of time trying to understand what is being said. However, this can be frustrating for some because he is also not very good at explaining himself. He can be rash with his actions, such as giving his son a last name without consulting his then partner. This causes frequent clashes as he doesn’t always remember to tell people the methods to his madness. He’s an adventure seeker but prefers to do the adventuring alone or with one other person. Exceptions can be made, of course, but only if any additional parties are known to him. He is uneasy around strangers but trusts the opinions and trust that other’s place in people so he can also be naive at times. This has gotten him in trouble on occasion so he’s not as trusting of others, though he doesn’t say it out loud. He spends quite a bit of time in his own head, thinking of anything from past events and friends, to creating new and interesting ideas, to just being in a bit of a cloud of no thoughts at all. This can make him seem standoffish, especially with his normally reserved and quiet personality. He does, however, have a very fiery temper when riled enough. This often manifests, or used to, in a LOT of property damage as he can drive earth, roots, and water into giant upheavals and attacks. Since he has forgotten most of his jutsu since getting out of Sero tree, though, he mostly just hits people with his bō staff if he wants to make them go away. Oh yes, he can be very childish at times. But these moments are very, very rare, and usually only occur in the presence of his family or those he perceives of as family. Deeper down, he has a fear of forgetting people and being abandoned, all of which come out when he is being childish as he will insist on going with the other party or will insist the other party not leave until after a set time.
• Important physical characteristics of note : Sypher’s torso, upper arms and shoulders, as well as his calves, are scarred from the Sero tree absorbing energy from him. On his torso, these are irregularly sized oval scars, with jagged edges, in a circle around his center body mass. They are faint, slight indentations and only barely discolored compared to the rest of his skin. These irregular oval scars are also along the top of his shoulders and down the back of his arms, getting smaller as they come closer to his elbows. On his calves, they are longer in shape and are harder to see, having healed more substantially than the others. All of these are covered by the bodysuit, except for those on his shoulders which are concealed under his yukata or other outer robe. In order to be aware of these scars, one must be very close to a portion of Syy’s naked body on which a scar can be seen. He also has a slender scar in the very middle of his chest and an identical one on the back. It is just the width and length of a standard katana blade. Finally, he has a bumpy, knotted scar behind each ear, only a few centimeters long but hard and unpleasant. These scars are why he keeps his hair so long.

• Not good with words, especially when the other party is upset with him. He gets flustered and says things he might not otherwise, though not always hurtful.
• Isn’t very good with his Doton techniques, even before he forgot how to use them. Still struggles with them from time to time.
• Forgets that not everyone can make intuitive leaps and might need some more background information before they understand.

Since he has forgotten most of his jutsu since getting out of Sero tree, though, he mostly just hits people with his bō staff if he wants to make them go away. Oh yes, he can be very childish at times. But these moments are very, very rare, and usually only occur in the presence of his family or those he perceives of as family. Deeper down, he has a fear of forgetting people and being abandoned, all of which come out when he is being childish as he will insist on going with the other party or will insist the other party not leave until after a set time.
• Important physical characteristics of note : Sypher’s torso, upper arms and shoulders, as well as his calves, are scarred from the Sero tree absorbing energy from him. On his torso, these are irregularly sized oval scars, with jagged edges, in a circle around his center body mass. They are faint, slight indentations and only barely discolored compared to the rest of his skin. These irregular oval scars are also along the top of his shoulders and down the back of his arms, getting smaller as they come closer to his elbows. On his calves, they are longer in shape and are harder to see, having healed more substantially than the others. All of these are covered by the bodysuit, except for those on his shoulders which are concealed under his yukata or other outer robe. In order to be aware of these scars, one must be very close to a portion of Syy’s naked body on which a scar can be seen. He also has a slender scar in the very middle of his chest and an identical one on the back. It is just the width and length of a standard katana blade. Finally, he has a bumpy, knotted scar behind each ear, only a few centimeters long but hard and unpleasant. These scars are why he keeps his hair so long.

• Isn’t very good with his Doton techniques, even before he forgot how to use them. Still struggles with them from time to time.

Sypher has been through a lot. As a former member of the village hidden in clouds, born an orphan and raised by the foster system, he was exposed to a viral agent that left him dying and violent. His actions led him to be driven out by a former student. Left at the gates of the village hidden in the mist, he rose through the ranks and became the leader of the village, finding someone he loved in the process. But as with all things, life was unsteady and ever changing. As he grew older, enemies from without and within attacked his village. In order to protect the village and his family, he ordered an evacuation and sealed the village. During the evacuation, Syy witnessed, or believed he witnessed, his young son falling to his death in the aftereffects of the Sero tree that Syy had created himself. Driven by anger and grief, he once more called upon a jutsu that allowed him to split himself into two people and sent them after the people responsible for the attacks on his village. Turning back into the village, he began to search for his son but the Sero tree grew out of control, threatening to take over the entire village. Intending to escape, he became trapped by his own creation and sealed into the roots of the Sero tree. The Sero tree fed on his energy (chakra), keeping him alive and trapped in suspended animation. As such, he did not age and has been trapped in his own mind since.

His family consists of Inka Hizara and Minowa Jaeger, though he doesn’t know if they are alive or dead. Inka, his long time lover and soulmate, and Minowa, the child he found and made his own. Both are the only thing that matters to Sypher and, trapped for the years that he was, he dreamed of them and them only. He met Inka early on in his arrival in the village and quickly became besotted with the other man, finding solace in his presence and comforted by the no nonsense attitude. Soon after their affection became mutual, Sypher attempted to reconcile with his old village, purely for the sake of peace. Failing that, he resigned himself to remaining in the village, a good thing considering his position rose to kage. Minowa was the strange byproduct of a plaguebearer’s attack on the village. Confronting a corpse from his past, that of a young woman who he had held a deep but strange connection with, Sypher was forced to watch her once again die. But in her place, a small baby which Sypher took with him. Unwilling to consign the child to a nameless existence in the foster system, one that he knew from his own unfortunate past, he claimed the child as his own. Giving Minowa a first name and then the last name of Jaeger, Sypher’s own last name before he claimed the Senju clan name that had been denied him in Kumogakure, he and Inka delighted in the boy’s existence.

In order to survive being trapped by the Sero tree and to stave off madness, Syy dreamed about his family. He dreamed that Inka and Minowa had gotten away safely, that the villagers he had tried to save had made it to other villages. He dreamed of his past, of those he had known and those who he had lost. As he dreamed of all of this, he slowly began to forget those things that had made him a formidable shinobi in the past. Techniques, skills, all those things he had learned were slowly wiped away like writing in the sand during a storm. His chakra was being eaten away by the Sero tree anyway and, while it would inevitably return if Syy ever escaped, what would be the point of knowing all those skills? He had no idea how long he had been trapped and if anything he knew would still be relevant. Or even possible. No, the only things he wanted to keep were the memories of those he loved. Even if they were lost to him, either through time or death or both. And so Sypher slept, cocooned in the roots and stone under the Sero tree to wait until he could get free.

Shusaku's father left him and his mother at the age of three. She was forced to raise him on her own, and provide for the two of them as best as she could, with the small income she was bringing in working at the flower shop. Growing up, he learned the values of working hard and helping others - especially his mother, by helping her cook, clean, and maintain the flower shop. When he was enrolled into the Academy, Shusaku was inspired by his sensei to be the best he could be. The man was almost like a father figure to him, and Shusaku absorbed his lessons like a sponge. Graduating the Academy, Shusaku aspired to become a great Shinobi, and to provide his mother with a better life, in thanks for raising him properly.

Description: The user exerts themselves and covers their armor in spikes made of Chakra. Any incoming Taijutsu attacks that strike the armor cause the attacker to take damage at this technique's rank. Additionally, Ninjutsu attacks damage the spikes as if they were a defensive technique a rank lower, and do not harm the user at all unless the spikes are destroyed. Lasts for one post per rank.

Description: The user lets their Chakra seep into the cracks in their armor, bolstering its defensive properties but making it more difficult to move in. For the duration of this technique, the armor is treated as one class higher (e.g. light is treated is medium, medium as heavy), simple physical attacks are treated as one rank lower against this technique, and complex techniques are treated as simple. Lasts for five posts.

Kakuheki [ Barrier Wall ]

Description: The user brings their limbs in to form a perfect guard, adding a buffer of Chakra in front of themselves to reinforce their defenses. Any incoming techniques at or below this technique's rank are deflected around the user's armor, leaving a cone behind them that is unaffected by the technique at all. Can protect against Ninjutsu.

Description: The user studies and acquaints themselves with the many different types of defensive armaments, from shields to armor to defensive items like the forehead protectors that Shinobi Villages use. In the process, they become able to apply any armor techniques to protective armaments and vice-versa.

Description: The user stomps the ground, exerting Chakra as they do so. The stomp cracks the ground in a five meter radius, and moments later the user's Chakra starts to disperse upward from the cracks. For the duration of this technique, techniques that would bypass the user's armor (i.e. sound, gas, etc.) instead have no effect on the user as long as they remain in this area. Lasts for six posts.

Description: The epitome of the Style's philosophy: the strike that negates armor. While it deals damage as a technique a rank lower than its own, it also destroys any armor of its rank or lower and reduces the duration of any armor reinforcement techniques lower than its rank by three posts. If the target is marked with the user's Chakra, their armor takes damage even if it has been reinforced with a technique, in addition to the technique's duration being lessened. Light armor counts as C-Rank, medium armor counts as B-Rank, and heavy armor counts as S-Rank for interaction with this technique.

Description: A suffusion of the user's body with their fighting spirit, flooding their muscles with Chakra. Increases the strength of Taijutsu and Bukijutsu techniques by one full rank, as well as the user's endurance. Any enemies who are marked with the user's Chakra also gain bonus to Taijutsu and Bukijutsu strength, but allies do not. If no enemies are marked, Formless Techniques are treated as complex for interacting with other techniques for this technique's duration. Lasts for seven posts.

Hatake Masahiro was born the heir to the Noble Hatake House of Konohagakure during a time of unrest, not only between his family and the village but within the very members of the clan itself. His father, Senju Masaichi, was ultimately refused by the head of his mother's clan; despite this his mother Etsuko refused to submit to the will of the elders and carried on her relationship with Masaichi in blatant disregard, as her father had with his mistress. Such a blatant disregard left her at odds with the family, but garnered her respect from the rebellious younger branches of the clan, who railed at the lords insistence to order while he flaunted disregard himself.

Etsuko and Masaichi conceived one child in their tryst, before the political maneuvering and stress to be accepted, and inability to be recognized led Masaichi to abandon Etsuko and their young son. The strain this applied on the young mother's heart was unbearable and her health began to fail, which increased the elders' calls upon her to forsake her son. Every time she rebuffed them, they threatened the death of young Masahiro, which only worsened her condition.

The child Masahiro took these threats against his personhood to heart his entire life. In March of his ninth year, at the worst of her illness, his mother hung herself two months after her father died. The estate was left in the hands of a child with no right to the Clan, and the elders who critiqued his every movement. Though none called for his execution any longer.

His memories and the long years of abuse and disdain led the young Hatake to believe his own, and by virtue of merit, his mother's, education were to blame for their mistreatment. And while now the head of a noble family, he held himself to a high standard, like the Hyuuga and Uchiha he would not shirk from Shinobi service as his grandfather, or mother. His educational years consisted of a hybrid of the Shinobi arts, bureaucratic learning, and philosophical studies, a grueling coursework that pushed him to the top of his class.

Desire protests from his family, and the taunts from his classmates over his fastidious and  introverted nature, he applied his broad knowledge and forded through the Academy. Though he came at odds with his fellow students during the final graduation exams.

When he was selected for a team, they bonded quickly despite his nature. These Shinobi became Masahiro's first family.

This acceptance changed the course of Masahiro's life. While he still remained separate and introverted from many, he learned the strength of working together and the reward of putting others before oneself. Because within others Masahiro found himself.

Short years later, the squadron took their Jounin training exams and each passed at a young age. Their reputation and relationships lasting throughout. Though only one other member of his original squadron still remains. It was this growth and earnest nature that Masahiro sought to pass onto his own students throughout the village.

Seven years as an instructor brought Masahiro adversity. Old grudges, daily challenges, manufactured slights, false arguments that served only to divide Masahiro from the core of the village. This came to a disastrous end as Masahiro was stricken by four others and backed into a corner. His wounds severe, he spent two months in the Konohagakure Medical Facility before he properly recovered and returned to his family compound.

For a time he served in purely bureaucratic missions for the Hokage, in keeping his faith between his family and the village after the attack. This led to his time spent as a liaison between Konohagakure and Sunagakure, home to his Cousin, Hatake Ayame who before his return would become the Kazekage.

During his service in Sunagakure, the UHV War broke loose. Leading to a chain of events that had Masahiro recalled to his village, at first for a response to the Kyuubi Assault, then to serve after the Hokage preceding him faked his death and abandoned the village shortly before another UHV assault.
