I have not a trace of japanense ancestry in me, and I'm pretty ignorant about their culture, but I have taken a liking to wearing a kimono. I also tend to dress like something out of a history book when I don't have to go anywhere that day.

Oh really? Ooooo....well..I'm Asian (hmong) so I guess I kind of have some sort of relation to japanese. More chinese though. And I would love to own a kimono...the closest I will ever get to one is probably one that i buy for halloween or something. lol ^_^

My mom made the one I was wearing in the photo. One of my most treasured gifts from her, for she spent much time, labor, and money on making me one kimono and two different obis for it.

One has skulls and crossbones (in photo)
the other is orange with little kitties wearing their own kimonos whee
