Kyo's eyes brightened a little and he smiled. "So Math is pretty much a piece of cake to you now, huh?" he asked. It was hard to believe that this had only been the third day of school and tutoring.

Gikishou smiled as he nodded, hugging him. "And it's all thanks to you." He said, hugging him for a moment longer and then pulling away. "Thanks." He told him, then set his book bag down. "So what do you want to do today? I can take you to the ice cream parlor. My treat." He offered.

"Um... I'm not really sure," Kyo said. His parents had never let him go anywhere, especially to an ice cream parlor, so he had never tried it before. Then again, he's not with his parents anymore, so it was probably okay.

Gikishou blinked. "If you don't want to go, I can make you some ice cream here." He offered. "Don't tell me you've never had ice cream before." He said, hoping that wasn't true. Honestly, did his parents ever let him live? First time to a fair, heck, had the kid ever even been to the movies?

"Uh... I think I've had iced cream before," Kyo said, thinking about the strange cream. "It's milk with ice in it, right? I don't see why it would need ice, since everyone keeps it in a refridgerator."

Gikishou's jaw dropped. "That does it, I'm making you some ice cream right now." He said, getting some ice cream out of the freezer and scooping it out into two bowls, getting out spoons and handing one to Kyo. "Here, eat up." He told him, getting started on his.

Kyo stared at the colored object in the bowl. So this was the ice cream, not milk with ice in it. Slowly he scooped part of the frozen object onto his food and held it up so he could look at it. He could see the ice cream beginning to melt in the light. No wonder it was kept in the freezer.

Gikishou laughed. "Put it in your mouth."He said, taking the spoon gently,getting another spoonful, and holding it to his mouth. "Say 'ah'." He instructed.

Kyo looked skeptically at the spoonful of ice cream and then he opened his mouth. First, the blueberry waffles, and now ice cream? Apparently, he will have to name today Kyo's Day of New Things or something.

Gikishou smiled and fed him the spoonful. "Now taste it. Careful not to get brain freeze." He warned teasingly. Still, a person who'd never had ice cream? He'd never known anyone older than eight years old who hadn't had at least some of it.

The taste of the ice cream still lingered on Kyo's tongue even after he swallowed it. He wasn't really sure what to say about it. It wasn't that he didn't like the ice cream, he really liked it, but he just wasn't sure what to say about it. No wonder he would see children eating ice cream on hot, sunny days.

Gikishou smiled."Do you want me to keep feeding you?" He asked him, knowing that the other liked the ice cream. After all, he didn't spit it out. He himself took another bite of his own and made a small noise of appreciation.

Kyo blushed and he hid his face in panic. "A-actually, I can feed myself," he said. "Don't worry about me. I'm fine." He didn't show his face until his cheeks stopped feeling unusually warm, which meant the blush was going down.

Kyo didn't know how to retaliate. Instead, he just continued blushing and trying to hide his face, though it was obvious that Giki-san could see. Slowly, he forced his hands away from his face and just went back to eating the ice cream, taking the once-abandoned spoon and scooping the frozen cream.
