P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter frowned slightly, though not negatively. He was merely thinking. "Haven't you ever found someone that you wanted to always be by your side? Even slightly?" Peter was absolutely shocked that such a person was so hard to find.
It was true that Eduard's reply had made it a little obvious why it was so difficult. Peter had never even thought that a noble possessing such qualities was even possible until he had met Eduard. "I have." Eduard replied before sighing slightly. "However, you must remember, Peter... one of my station should never marry someone without a title." he sighed again, obviously hating the entire idea. "At least that is my father's decree. If I had my way, I would marry whomever I wanted. Whoever grabbed my heart."

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter cocked his head to one side. "Oh? Perhaps it's not my place to ask, but who is she?" More importantly, why isn't she here acting as Eduard's fiancé instead of me?
Peter felt a little guilty that there should be someone else in his place. He also felt that the whole world was very... wrong. Sure, he had known that the world was imperfect for a while, but ever since he had met Eduard, his opinion of society was falling below what he thought was even possible.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

"Gisela."
The word was soft, spoken in fond remembrance.
"But you know better than anyone, Peter... that she and I could never be together." sighing, violet eyes closed as a wave of emotions crested against the Marquess.
They eventually ebbed, but that didn't heal the sting that they had left behind.
Eduard glanced at Peter, smiling softly for a moment. "I loved her. But it was a forbidden love."
It had not yet occurred to Eduard... that he loved Peter in a manner akin to the love he had held for Gisela.
And it had also not yet occurred to the young man... that this relationship was just as forbidden, if not more, than the one of his past.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter's eyes widened. How could he have forgotten? Somewhere in their first encounter, Eduard had mentioned that. He nodded slightly, the action showing also a little sadness, for he remembered her and her death.
"I... I'm sorry." Peter knew that he shouldn't have breached the subject. He had already known this fact somewhere in the back of his mind, and so it had been unnecessary to ask again. "Really sorry... I shouldn't have... brought her up..."
Peter looked down at his hands, which were clasped together tightly. He didn't realize himself yet that he loved Eduard either.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Smiling, Eduard wrapped his arms around Peter gently, pulling the actor close. "Don't be sorry." he whispered softly. "You're probably still feeling some of the effects of last night's wine. I shan't hold a mere question against you."
The Marquess made sure that he was smiling, but that the smile held a bit of a teasing atmosphere to it.
Peter was sensitive about hurting another person's own feelings... it was kinda cute actually.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter blushed. He wasn't sensitive only about others' feelings. They were both still naked and in the same bed. With the added contact of Eduard's hug, Peter felt even more self conscious. He didn't know how Eduard could be so calm about this situation.
"I-I... ah... Thank you," he whispered, staring down at his hands with renewed interest.
A sudden thought struck him. He glanced up at Eduard, green eyes wide. "D-Don't we have a d-dinner engagement in the g-garden ton-night?"L a d y - R o s a l i n e

"Actually, we have a party to throw." Eduard corrected. "But yes, it's in the garden. Why?"
The sudden change in conversation threw the Marquise off a bit, and he seriously wondered why Peter would think of such a thing right then.

P e t e r - W i n t e r s"N-No reason..." Peter definitely didn't lie very well. He just wanted to take Eduard's mind off of Gisela. Though Peter had never been in love before, if he ever was, he knew that he wouldn't want someone to mention his dead love's name. It was all too uncomfortable.
"I... I just... Come on, let's get ready for the day!" He jumped out of the bed and reluctantly out of the warmth of Eduard's arms, temporarily forgetting that he was completely naked. He shivered, blushing madly as he realized how bare his body was.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Eduard fell back against the pillows. "But it's so warm and comfortable..." he whispered, closing his eyes and simply relaxing.
"Besides, Sebastian knows how to prepare for a party. If he needs anything from me, he will ask. You hardly expect me to decorate the garden, hmm?"
Of course he was teasing, watching Peter as the young actor suddenly blushed furiously.
(((OOC: I almost had Eduard say, "decorate the garden, ne?" and I'd actually typed that and went. "Wait... HE'S NOT JAPANESE!" *sigh* I've been working on Gundam 00 stories too much today, me thinks...)))

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter blushed even more in response to Eduard's small tease. He searched the room for something to cover himself up with, but he was, of course, in Eduard's room, and so nothing was available to him.
It was actually quite comical how he seemed to panic about his nakedness. Finally, he just dropped to his knees and hid next to the bed, only his head peeking up from the side. This way, Eduard couldn't see anything but Peter's head, and Peter could see nothing but what was above the blankets.
"I... Well... Gah!" he exclaimed and buried his head into the side of his pillow, lost for a reply.((I would certainly agree that Eduard isn't Japanese. xD)) L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Eduard couldn't help it.
He burst into laughter, and for a few moments, he simply couldn't say anything.
Then he stood, not embarrassed about his lack of dress, and crossed to the closet. It only took a few seconds for him to return, wearing a robe, with another in his hands.
Carefully, the Marquess laid it down on Peter's side of the bed.
"Forgive me... your expression and frustration was too much. Use the robe, Peter. It's quite alright." Eduard spoke, smiling happily.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter buried his face even more in his pillow when he heard Eduard's laughter. He felt quite embarrassed and wished more than anything that he was fully clothed and sitting somewhere decent instead of in this peculiar position.
Peter glanced up, face still crimson, as he felt the weight lift from the bed. Though he felt even more embarrassed when he saw Eduard's flawless naked body go off to the closet, he couldn't take his eyes away. He remained riveted until Eduard turned around, at which point he was just far too embarrassed at possibly having been caught in the awkward act.
He took the robe and quickly donned it before he could feel any worse at being so bare. Being Eduard's robe, it was, of course, too big for Peter, so he actually looked quite comical with the sleeves completely covering and passing his hands.
"T-thank you," he murmured softly, not sure what else to say.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

"It was the least I could do." Eduard spoke sincerely, his gaze bright and understanding. "I shouldn't have laughed... but your expression was priceless, Peter."
Stepping back, the Marquess admired the young actor in the robe.
"Seems a bit big... and I can't exactly say you'll grow into it... perhaps we should take some measurements and get you one made, hmm? I mean, I believe you do have a robe in your room already, but it's rather womanly so... I'm sure making one to suit you when not in disguise would be helpful in the long run."
Of course Eduard had noticed Peter staring at him... but then again, he was rather used to that reaction.
So he didn't really think too much about it.
(((OOC: AHHH! *falls over* I'm having so much trouble with a new Gundam 00 story. *stares up at ceiling* I felt so evil when I had the idea, but somehow my evil ran away... *cries*)))

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter laughed nervously. "It feels like a dress," he commented. he was quite used to it in that sense, though it did feel very revealing still that he had nothing underneath.
Peter smiled when he heard the words "long run," though he wasn't sure why. Just the thought that there was some far future between the two of them made Peter quite happy. It was the reassurance that he needed, even if he knew that things would end after their 'divorce.'
"Thank you," he murmured again, with a lot more happiness than one would usually possess for just getting a robe made in the future.((I understand how you feel. I'm currently writing my first fic and I had the awesomest idea! And now that I started implementing it, I don't feel the evil anymore. And it's even worse since my readers are expecting it.
