Oh well, I still like the Sarah Jane Adventures spin off! I'm really looking forward to the next season, which is rumored to have an appearance by Nicholaus Courtney in his old role as the Brigadier! Whee!

That's what I've heard, yes smile I think someone had shots of him filming. About time he came back, given the producers have been teasing us with references to him in the main series.

Chap with Wings. Five rounds rapid. biggrin

I'd still like to see a return of the Kevin character from "School Reunion," the kid who blew up the school. I mean, what did his life turn out like? I'll bet he had some horrid enforced counselling sessions!

I'm also looking forward to seeing the new "kid" character, Anjli Mohindra, according to wikipedia. And, of course, I still really, really like Daniel Anthony's Clyde!

Awesome. Thanks for reading all those posts!

Alas, it'll be next year before SJA gets over to the US, I'm thinking, but I should have a new cable service by then! Yowza!

Yep. Sometimes people get mad at RTD, but I think he did a heck of a job. I enjoyed almost all of the shows in all 4 of the new seasons.

Heck, I even got a kick out of the big dalek finale, despite some major cheesiness there!

Also, I've found this quiz that rates what kind of Whovian you are.
It would seem I'm a good-natured jumper-wearer. It's weird to be considered good natured, but some of the other entries are a bit... uh... scarier than me.

I remember watching Doctor Who in HS I used to hate it because it seems like every time the family planed to go to Disneyland on a Sunday morning we couldn't leave (we lived 2 hour away) until after Doctor Who so that meant we would lose like two hours of park time (the horror)... Howeve somewhere Along the way I started actaully watching with my Dad and now I watch when I can the new one and the sara jane adventures

Dr Who was brilliant, the old TV shows. I like the new stuff too, David Tenant as The Doctor was a great choice. He's brilliant.

But, the old shows are classics, they'll always be my first choice.

Me, too. Or at least I'd be wearing a jumper if we weren't currently enjoying the sort of weather we should have had in the summer smile

I'm currently doing a part-time Seventh Doctor books marathon. I've read the series adaptations and two of the BBC Past Doctor books. Next up are the rest of the BBC books and then the Virgin New Adventures (note to self, really need to get hold of Lungbarrow, Dying Days & So Vile a Sin - although at least the first 2 can be read online at the Beeb's website).

I say part-time, because a friend has been lending me Robin Hobb books and I'm entirely hooked. They have precedence as books I've not read before smile

Oh man, yeah! William Hartnell was a total a**! I loved him, and he was a very popular cranky old man.

Back in the days when Dr. Who first got started, all the action hero stuff was left up to his earthling companions (that Ian Chesterton character played by William Russel, for instance.)

Hartnell himself was an excellent character actor and if you have a chance, you may want to seek out some of his films. At times they're a bit avant garde, but often thoroughly enjoyable!
