Hmmm maybe a story about objects that grant immortality, strength, fortune or the like. Sorry I am not being very specific. I'm trying to research this for my next thread.
The only story I know about is the rabbit on the moon and the myth it's making the immortality elixir.

Sugar Dhaku There are quite a few. Do you have anything in particular in mind? Desired length? A few that come to mind are LotR, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the Legend of King Arthur, the Narnia books, Anne Bishop novels (Black Jewels and Tir Alainn to be specific), Grimm brothers stories, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter (the emperor looks for immortality on Mount Fushi), Rapunzel (the Grimm brothers use it as a "fountain of youth" flower), Beowulf (he gives the king's horn to Grendel's mother who, in turn, makes Beowulf rich and powerful).... Uh....

We get married, have kids, raise them, send them off to college, and then go buy an island somewhere in the Caribbean.
Or eat pie. Decisions, decisions.

Since I have no idea what your medical history is or if your genes are detrimental or not, I'm gonna go with the pie option. XP

I, um, don't believe I am infected with anything. Any children I do have might be as demented or uncommonly cruel as I am, but that's about it.
Right - pie. Cherry.

Insane children might be fun? And cherry pie is much better. Has tang and twist and other T-word adjectives. And yes, Tim Curry is an awesome actor.
