{{still a bit of retroposting, which will lead straight into present day}}
-for the past couple of days, he and dame spent the majority of their time in comfortable silence. He never pressured dame to tell him any more about her trials and tribulations, and he didn't need to. When the mood hit, she'd just start talking, and he sat listening, rubbing her back or holding her hands. In time, she'd come to tell him everything that happened while he was gone, in detail, and things that led up to some of the stuff she endured. Because she'd been staying with Bonnie and Dec since her arrest, she had no food in her quarters which led to the two of them eating out at JD and Chattys for the last two days. It was decided that they'd go shopping for food and other amenities the next day.
Up early, they showered and dressed, heading out the back entrance of JD to his car. Stopping at Lilys for breakfast first, they go into town and spend the day there. Acting like teens in love, they walk holding hands, watching the other out the corner of their eyes, smiling goofily when caught, the whole nine. They window shopped, which turned into real shopping, sat and ate lunch, and enjoyed each others company, loading the car down with their purchases and heading back to JD. After a few trips, they had the car unloaded and bags unpacked with everything put away. Not wanting to stay in just yet, he drags dame back outside and back to his car.
Popping the trunk, he pulls out a blanket and closes the trunk back, walking around to the front of the car. Giggling, dame follows him as he spreads the blanket on top of his hood and across the windshield, holding his hand out to her. Smiling, she grasps it and he helps her up, making sure she's settled before he hops up next to her. There they lay, watching the sky as the sun drops, talking about nothing and everything-

Early that morning, Amy had made a few phone calls and then went to Kits' house with Thistle and Velcore and a camera. She took a few pictures of all of them together, briefly explaining to Kits what she was up to.
Then, after dropping Thistle off, she went to a nearby store to develop some of the pictures, get frames for them, and pick out a few other office items.
Amy walked into JD through the employee entrance with Velcore at about 10 that morning. Some of Karrie's employees looked up and were about to say something when they saw Velcore coming through the door with Amy.
Amy used the key Velcore had found for her for Karrie's office and went inside. She smiled when she saw that the men she had hired had indeed put down the wooden floor and installed new lighting for the office.
She thanked Velcore and then urged him to go hang out at Aqua Springs or something. She didn't want him to be around the paint fumes that would fill the small office soon.
Amy laid down tarp all over the new floor and then picked up the can of blue paint she had brought in with her along with the plastic tray. She got everything ready and then started to paint, closing the door so that the smell didn't permeate into the restaurant. She also had a paint mask on and some air purifiers in the room.
Since the office was small, it didn't take her too long to paint it. When she was done, she went outside, deposited the painting supplies outside by the large van she had rented, opened the employee's entrance door again, used her powers to bring in a light breeze, and then shut the door. She guided the breeze to Karrie's office, closed his door with her on the outside, and then focused on moving the breeze relatively quickly in the room, almost in a circular pattern. She looked down at her overalls and picked at the drying paint on them as she waited.
About 15 minutes later, Amy went back into Karrie's room after making the breeze die down and smiled. The color looked great! It looked roomier and brighter.
She touched the wall lightly and smiled when she realized it was dry. She quickly took the tarp off of the floor and rolled it up. Then, she brought the wind with her outside and started unloading the different items she had brought with her in the van, the wind helping her move the large desks. On about the fifth trip, she was thanking every deity she knew for having learned how to harness and use wind. It was saving her a lot of extra work.
At about 5 that evening, Amy was looking into Karrie's office with a bright and beaming smile on her face. She couldn't wait for Karrie to see it. She really hoped he liked it.
She closed his office, locked it, and then left to go to Karrie's house to clean up.
