Ammy gave some thought to Gail's suggestion on how to leave a message for the boys. She would have rolled around again to leave a scent, but with a place as stinky as this, it would easily be lost. "Hmm...." she went to a tree nearby, scorching it with a breath of flame. It left a black mark and she tried to imitate her scratches into something readable, but in the end, it only looked like random claw marks. "maybe that will work?" she offered. It had seemed like the only idea they could come up with at this point.
Ammy was ready to accept that as a message left behind, moving forward with Gail. However, as she saw something on the muddy path ahead, she couldn't help but bound towards it to investigate. "Food???? FOOD!" she exclaimed, gobbling up the five candies she had found on the ground without hesitation, wrappers and all.
Progressing through the muck, Allure kept her gaze forward. The ground was getting more precarious, and she swore it was turning more liquidy and less solid. Perhaps she'd ventured into a puddle of shorts? Even still, the liquid wasn't any higher than her ankles as of then, so there was little worry. Still, she played caution to it's depths. Something like this could drag someone down in a heartbeat and they'd quickly drown as if they'd sunk into quicksand.
When making conversation on their entering the swamp, the team seemed to agree it smelt something awful. Allure and Raf seemed the only two who weren't as effected by the stench. Allure mentioned she was technically undead, being part ghost, to which Raf mentioned a Chikorita who was undead. "A Chikorita?" The dragon scoured her memory banks on whether she'd seen one of those or not... nothing came to mind, but given how Raf stated it, it seemed being undead was a new concept to the whatever it was. "If ever we meet in the waking world, I could give some advice, maybe." The dragon replied. What little advice she could offer that was.
With talk of the candy, Allure made mention of this being a dream world, to which Raf made her own statement, to which Allure had to agree actually. This place.. felt real. It was as if they were physically in a dream. Certainly something like that couldn't be real... but there was no one among them at this time who could answer their questions. But then that name came up in the conversation. "Yes. Whomever this Darkrai is, if we are to end his grip upon this world, we should certainly be allowed to go home. And then we can consume all we wish."
Speaking of consuming. From the corner of her slitted eye, the dragon spotted Argo lift from her back and fly forward a bit, only to swoop down and snatch something from the muck. "That can't of tasted good, Argo." Allure voiced. Looking down she noticed another one not far away, this one lodged in a hole on a tree. It was still covered in muck, so when Allure grabbed it, the muck prevented the rainbow coloured crystal from activating. "Certainly pretty though." Yea, she'd add that to the growing collection on her back.

Daphnes gave a nod to Mogwai, as the bear inquired what a navigator was. "They're basically the one to tell us where to go and how to get there." The then Bagon replied. Generally a navigator knew the lay of the land, or at least had a map to direct them. This time however, they were being driven by luck. Hopefully good given this place was a waiting death trap.
The deathtrap being the muddy ground, of which was quite the challenging obstacle for one of their members. For Daphnes and Chickpea, traveling the muck would of posed difficult later on if it grew two muddy, but for Dune who had no feet couldn't travel to well. Daphnes watched as Dune attempted to use his tail, which turned like a drill to push himself forward, but low it only got him muddy. "If this was solid earth that might of worked." Daphnes noted with a sympathetic look. It looked as though Dune would have no choice but to accept Mogwai's assistance. Daphnes in the meantime grew distracted by candy, eagerly consuming the delectable treats. Upon doing so, the small Bagon grew quite taller, but also fatter. His body became encased in a shell the density of bone, and vastly rounder. A few steps told him it would be somewhat difficult to move. Met with Mogwai's awe, Daphnes attempted to nod. It was then Chickpea appeared back with the mystical mushroom, the Chikorita likely had only then become aware his traveling companions weren't keeping up. They had gotten a bit sidetracked... rather Daphnes did.

Samson didn't slow until he and Daemon reached the large cavern before them, littered with gems of all sizes. It was an interesting sight, but the shimmying and rustling in the distance kept the Arcanine on alert. "You're right, Mr. Daemon," he replied, agreeing with the Houndoom's deduction. Samson kept away from the gems as best he could, carefully brushing any away from him.
But suddenly, and as if Darkrai itself had seen this happening, a slight rumble was the only preamble before gems fell from the ceiling like glistening stalactites, crashing to the ground with the sound of shattering glass. Samson was able to get out of the way, only barely, a few shards getting stuck into the Arcanine's fluffy mane. He was no worse for wear, but the sound of the chattering hoard of Sableye made him tense up with anticipation. Only one of the Sableye came for he and Daemon in a manic fashion.
Luckily, Daemon was already on point and blasted the ghost with a fiery inferno. It shot the Sableye across the room and into a large slab of gemstone...but the little gem-eater just continued its pursuit. Samson took the initiative and bounded for it, but was cut off by another Sableye. It seems the fiend was very much preoccupied with the gems that had gotten stuck in Samson's fur. "I'd rather not fight, but if you don't back off..." The Sableye lunged at Samson, and he answered in turn by grabbing the ghost in his mighty jaws and tossing it aside. "Alright then. If it's a fight you want, you've got it."

Truth be told, Radium was a bit embarrassed over the whole ordeal. From being super charged to now her fur changing colours. She'd been careless, and like a child who'd done wrong she felt she was being scolded. She accepted it nonetheless, as she was capable of knowing what she'd done was wrong. She'd be more careful from now on. "Yea, normally when I'm struck by lightning or an electric attack I feel a bit stronger, but... I guess my tiny body can't really control all that extra juice like my older siblings can... since they evolved and all." Radium replied, giving a quick 'whatever' look. Dealing with older siblings was rough. One day though, with Eline she'd evolve she was sure of it, then she'd evolve again like her mama and papa, who were of both variants of Raichu, her papa having evolved while his human was in some other region on vacation. "Both your abilities sound neat." Radium replied, staring in awe at Dotty's pretty purple stone. "What about you Piper? What is your ability?" Of course she would of asked Vivace as well, but the mouse began to wander back to the candy scooping up only a few. "Could you hold these for me also, please?" The mouse inquired. None of the team really had pockets, but the fur around piper's neck seemed to be a good a place as any to store something small like the candies. If they fell out along the way, then oh well. She still wasn't sure whether or not they would act like candies did in the waking world.
Beyond abilities the group continued moving forward, finding the muck gross, Radium used her stick every so often to pole-volt herself over muddier looking patches. Ai had mentioned marking the trees, to which Radium went to mention maybe scorching them a bit, but then she recalled the fire on her stick only provided light... it seemed to lack the ability to actually scorch anything. Thankfully, Vivace mentioned using water, which also could work! "Good idea, Vivace." Radium added, piling on to Dotty's words.

Okay, yeah, it made sense that something sitting in marsh mud wouldn't be all that great to eat. The ones from the trees were probably safe enough, but Luna decided to curb her sweet tooth for the moment. At least until they were out of this swamp so she could enjoy them without her nostrils being assaulted with the stench of rotting vegetation. So for a while Luna curled up with her candies and Argo's flute, content to just ride along and listen to Raf and Noah chat.
Suddenly, the eevee heard a noise from above quickly getting closer, so Luna curled up in a fluffy ball over the treasures she was guarding. The little eevee yelped when she felt something hit her back, but didn't see what it was. The object seemed to disappear when it hit her, and there was a shimmering light that made it a bit hard to see for a while. When the light dimmed down, the first thing that Luna noticed was that her paws were no longer a sandy brown color and instead were a steely or silvery gray. Craning her head to look around, it seemed the rest of her was also a similar mix of metalic gray. Everyone else still looked like they were the same color as before, though. "U-um... Wh... Why am I gray...?" the little eevee asked hesitantly.

☆ ☆【Piper gave a small smile as Ai reassured Dotty after the Duosion agreed to be a bit more careful with using her Thunder attack now that they knew Radium had the ‘Lightning Rod’ ability, the Espeon saying that she could’ve easily done the same and suggesting that it was a strong tactic in team battles. The certainly made sense, especially given that the electricity absorbed by such an ability would also serve to increase the power of the Pokemon’s attacks. That was definitely an interesting tactic to keep in mind… even though team battles hardly ever popped up in every day battling from what she recalled. Radium agreed on that as well, saying that when she was usually struck by lightning or an electric attack she felt a little stronger, but due to her size she couldn’t exactly control it quite as well as her older siblings. ”W-Well I think y-you’ll get there s-someday, Ray, I i-imagine you’ll become a b-big strong Raichu in n-no time~” Piper offered with a small smile, noticing the look on the Pichu’s face as she mentioned her siblings. Perhaps Radium didn’t exactly get along too well with her family… which was understandable, especially if her older siblings weren’t necessarily the nicest to her.
Ai did bring up a good suggestion about them sharing their abilities, mentioning that she was capable of reflecting many attacks that aimed to otherwise weaken her like a Thunder Wave and offered to act as a shield for them if it was necessary. The Noivern didn’t exactly like the idea of the Espeon getting hurt just to protect one of them, but she understood that sometimes sacrificing oneself to help a friend could be a great necessity. And she was certainly grateful for Ai offering to help protect them, it was exactly like something… a good friend would do. Her attention went towards Dotty as the Duosion mentioned her ability being fairly similar to Ai’s, and that it protected her from a lot of attacks and other bad things. The Noivern curiously eyed the purple orb that she took out to show them, tilting her head as Dotty mentioned that normally it hurt the holder in exchange for powering up their attacks. However, because of her ability, Dotty was able to benefit from the boost to her attacks without the drawbacks of having her health drained. ”That’s actually p-pretty nifty, Dotty… I m-mean, being able t-to get s-stronger attacks, at l-least… G-Getting hurt by s-something like that for more p-power doesn’t sound p-pleasant at all,” Piper spoke up, frowning a bit as she glanced at the orb in the Duosion’s possession but nodding in agreement with Radium’s statement of how both Dotty and Ai’s abilities sounded pretty cool.
”M-Me? Oh, um…” the Noivern seemed like she’d been completely unprepared for Radium’s question of what her ability was, dithering a little as she nervously twiddled her wing-claws, ”Well… I-I haven’t r-really fought a t-ton of battles so my m-memory of what my a-ability is might b-be a little foggy… But I th-think it a-allows me to bypass c-certain barriers l-like that s-screen move Dotty showed us earlier and s-strike at enemies w-without allowing them the b-benefits of moves like those. N-Not sure how useful that might be h-here, but…” She had noticed the only one among them who didn’t make any mention of their ability was Vivace… Maybe the Togepi didn’t know what her ability was? Still, the Noivern wouldn’t try to pressure her into answering, turning her attention towards Radium as the Pichu grabbed up a small handful of the candies and asked if she could hold onto them for her. ”Of c-course!” Piper agreed with a warm smile, carefully taking the small pile of Rare Candies off of the little mouse’s hands and tucking them away into the fur around her neck with her own stash for safekeeping.
Dotty seemed somewhat relieved that Radium’s sudden color change was caused by the odd stone she’d touched rather than something she’d done, though she was still rather concerned as she advised them to not go touching things they didn’t know about. ”Ah… I d-don’t really th-think it’s anything quite that d-drastic, Dotty,” Piper quickly reassured as the Duosion started going on about the sudden change being a disease or radiation, ”B-Besides changing one’s appearance, I th-think the effects of those s-stones are otherwise h-harmless… But y-yeah, probably best t-to not eat or t-touch strange things in general.” Still, Dotty appeared to be relatively placated by Radium saying that she didn’t feel any different besides the color change and Piper relaying her own story. Though Vivace mentioned something about not knowing that stones could make Pokemon change color, Dotty agreeing with her on that sentiment. To be fair… those stones tended to be rare, and there was no telling when you might stumble across one…
With that more or less settled now, that left them with yet another dilemma as the path through this swamp seemed to be much less straightforward compared to the cave and forest from before. Instead of being one singular straight trail, there were multiple trails that all seemed to be leading off in what seemed to be the same general direction. Uncertain of how they should proceed from here, the Noivern looked to Ai since she was effectively the strategist and the leader of the group. The Espeon seemed to have an idea as she used her psychic power to make herself some ‘booties’ to help walk across where the ground was less solid while she appeared to scout the different paths, before finally choosing one on the verdict of it being a bit more solid that the others. That definitely sounded like a good idea, that way the rest of their teammates who couldn’t fly or otherwise levitate wouldn’t worry about having to slog through all the mud. Piper nodded eagerly in agreement as Ai also suggested that they mark trees along the way so that they didn’t get lost. ”Definitely… I m-mean, they all s-seem to lead in the s-same direction, b-but at the same t-time… I h-have a f-feeling that some of them m-might lead to dead ends,” she reasoned, smiling as Vivace offered to help with the marking with her new Water-type move, ”I c-could help too, my claws sh-should be sharp enough t-to be able to leave s-some good sized scratches in the b-bark.” Moving over a bit of a ways towards the start of the particular path that Ai had pointed out, Piper bared her claws and reached out towards the first tree that stood by the trail. The wood was rather moist and gave way pretty easily, allowing the Noivern to make a series of large gouges in the trunk of it. Yeah… this should work just fine… With that plan in mind, Piper was ready to get moving, and would walk down the path Ai had chosen with the others once they got going as well.】☆ ☆

A new place… Mystery Dungeon Mogwai spies a new friend! Daphnes, Chickpea, Dune
☆ ☆【Mogwai definitely agreed with the idea of letting Chickpea take the lead, especially given how confusing the multiple different paths that all seemed to go in the same general direction were. Though he wasn’t quite sure what exactly a ‘navigator’ was, like what Daphnes had mentioned, so naturally he felt inclined to ask that very question to fulfill his curiosity. The Bewear’s ears perked up as the Bagon explained that a navigator was the one who told them where to go and how to get there. ”Liiiiike waaaayyyyyfiiiiindeeeer?” he chipped in, nodding eagerly as he felt like he was really starting to get the picture. ”Chiiiickpeeeeeaaaa waaaaayyyyyfiiiiindeeeer!” the bear declared with joyful resolution as he clapped his paws, more than satisfied with this verdict. Even if they’d have to rely on the dim light of a glowing mushroom and luck to find their way around here, at least it was better than nothing, right? Although… maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea to mark trees or something along the way so that they wouldn’t get lost.
While most of their group didn’t really have much trouble when it came to making their way around on the incredibly muddy ground below them for the time being, their Dunsparce companion seemed to be having a more difficult time with it given that he had no legs to move around on. Still, Dune insisted that he felt like he could handle himself, even though he didn’t exactly sound very confident in his statement. Still, Mogwai nodded in understanding, moving to back off a bit to give their companion some room to move around. And probably for the best that he did, as Dune attempted to propel himself forward by spinning his tail quickly like a drill and sticking it into the mud. While it was a pretty good idea, unfortunately with the ground being so moist all it managed to really accomplish was flinging mud here and there and everywhere. Some specks of muck did hit Mogwai in the process, but his preemptive moving away had saved him from the majority of the splatter while Daphnes and Chickpea had managed to avoid it as well. Dune, on the other hand, was absolutely covered from head to tail in the stuff, and even his pretty blue wings were all dirtied up with muck.
Wiping away some of the bits that had landed on him, Mogwai carefully moved closer to Dune as Daphnes spoke sympathetically, saying that maybe the Dunsparce’s propeller method might have worked if the earth had been much more solid. The Bewear offered a small smile, nodding as Dune reluctantly asked if he could be carried instead. ”Yeeeees, Mooooogwaaaaaiii glaaaad heeeelp Siiiiire Duuuuune,” the bear agreed, bending down and carefully retrieving their muck-covered companion from the boggy ground. Gently, Mogwai brushed away as much of the mud off of Dune as he could, not really minding the fact that he was getting his own fur a bit dirty in the process. Flinging away some of the excess that clung to his paw, the Bewear carefully tucked Dune into his arms in a way so that he would be comfortable but still able to see what was going on. ”Duuuuune oooookaaaayyyy?” he asked, hoping that he wasn’t unintentionally smothering the Dunsparce like this.
Before he had the presence of mind to suggest that they should start moving onwards since it seemed Chickpea was getting a bit ahead of them, Mogwai found himself distracted with candies and Daphnes’s sudden change as he evolved into a turtle-like Pokemon surrounded by a thick red shell. It reminded the bear of when he had first evolved into a Bewear, it had been difficult at first to learn how to walk on two legs as opposed to the four he’d been used to as a Stufful but he had eventually gotten used to it. He wondered how that worked if it was the other way around… He glanced up as Chickpea came back with his glowing mushroom, apparently having backpedaled upon realizing he’d been getting too far ahead from the rest of them and seeing what had happened. ”Yeeeees! Siiiiire Daaaaaphneeees evooooolve!” Mogwai exclaimed jubilantly in answer to Chickpea’s exclamation about the Bagon’s evolution, bouncing up and down excitedly, ”Evoooooolve iiiiintoooo beeeeetteeeer swoooooord!” At least that was what he was thinking, even though Daphnes’s new form seemed to be much bulkier and perhaps a little slower that didn’t make him any less of a sword, right?
But anyways! They really ought to stop getting sidetracked all over the place and actually start moving onwards, they wouldn’t be getting any closer to completing their quest and fighting Darkrai if they kept fooling around! ”Weeee gooooo noooow?” Mogwai suggested, pointing a paw towards the path Chickpea had chosen to get everyone back on track. Once everyone was in agreement to start pushing forward, the Bewear would gladly follow along with his companions as they headed down the trail together while he kept a firm but gentle hold on Dune in his other arm. Upon passing the first tree on Chickpea’s chosen trail, Mogwai would pause briefly as he cocked a fist back and let it fly at the thick trunk of it. The wood was rather wet and broke quite easily under the force of his blow, knocking out a sizable chunk of bark from the surface of the tree and leaving a large gouged marking in its place. This would be a bit easier if he actually had claws to work with, but he supposed that punching the trees to mark them would have to work in lieu of that option.】☆ ☆

She snuggled it against her cheek at times, even taking notice that if she created sparks just behind it between her paws that she could create her own nifty looking rainbow effects. With a skip in her step, Ulani followed Prim to the stairs. She took her time scaling them to assure she didn’t drop any of her findings (she did still have the berry from earlier after all), though that work was nearly all but lost when they reached the very top and the scent of muck and bog filled the poor squirrel’s nostrils. “Yuck!” She exclaimed loudly, doing her best to cover her nose with what available paw space she had.
It smelt awful and immediately the corners of her eyes began to water."This place is yucky , flower!"_The Emolga didn't want to move any further but it was a necessity if they wanted to get any further.so she simply tried her best to hold her breath as she followed after Prim. Her own eyes wandered the landscape for the easiest path to take, noticing as well that there seemed to be specs of something blue littering the ground. It looked like…
"CANDY!" She shouted practically forgetting the horrible smell she'd been trying to block as she scuttled over to the nearest piece. She scooped it up and her grin grew three time it's normal size as she showed it to Prim. "Look pretty flower! Candy! Blue hair gave me a bunch of these! They're so delicious! And and there's a bunch around here!" Ulani was practically dancing in excitement at the prospect of collecting candy. It certainly made dealing with the swamp smells easier! -

Dice gave a squeak of surprise and flailed his club when something landed on his shoulder. He stopped when he recognized the familiar voice that followed. "Noodle!" He chirped happily, chunks of candy still in his mouth. At the question, the baby Pokemon blinked and cheered. "Candy!" He announced proudly and held up one of the few from the pile that he had not yet consumed. "Yummy! Noodle want candy?" He offered, already beginning to unwrap another one; he still seemed to have quite a few pocketed in his cheeks. Was he actually eating them or just shoving them in his mouth? It was hard to say...

☆ ☆【 Fianna returned Daiki’s grin in full as she played along with his teasing remark, the Zoroark remarking about her being a ‘tricky little vixen’. ”Well, I do admittedly like playing hard to get~” she said with a light laugh, tail swishing about playfully behind her. A soft snort escaped her at his remark about how he thought she didn’t like the color green. ”Come now, let’s not just jump to conclusions here, I’m always willing to give the benefit of the doubt where it counts,” she insisted with a smirk, ”If you must know, though, my least favorite color is actually orange~” However, their brief mirthful conversation took a turn as she addressed her worries about him, mentioning that she didn’t want him pushing himself more than he needed to. Given that he was still coming to grips with handling himself in combat… Fianna was admittedly worried that he might overexert himself to the point of exhaustion or even possibly hurting himself in the process. He seemed somewhat confused about it, but otherwise agreed to her terms to her semi-relief.
However, her focus being more on Daiki than on the path ahead of them ended up causing her to trip and nearly land face-first in a pile of bog muck, but thankfully her quick reflexes saved her from a potentially gross and embarrassing situation even though she was less than pleased about the mud clinging to the fur of her arm. Even so, she was grateful that Daiki asked if she was okay and had even moved in to help her back up just in case she hadn’t been able to do so herself, telling him that a certain other Zoroark she knew would’ve made a witty quip first before even stepping in to help. She chuckled softly as Daiki remarked that saying something like that sounded like a very ‘him’ thing to do, but he didn’t feel like she’d been that deserving of something like that. ”Heh, well I’m certainly glad for that,” she said, wiping her brow in mock relief, “You know, though… I think you and him might get on pretty well if we ever get to Alola one of these days, Klaus would surely love having another Zoroark as a friend, especially one who shares his kind of humor~” She might just have to mention that to Klaus when she got back and could see him again, even if all the dream world stuff might sound like a bunch of bullshit to him. She giggled softly as the green haired Zoroark winked at her in response to her remark about him being a gentleman.
Her attention drifted towards Shade, frowning a little and casting a brief glance backwards as they mentioned the continued absence of Beltigre. Hopefully the Torracat hadn’t ended up losing her way… then again, they had gotten pretty far ahead right about now. Xiao Lan pointed this out as well as she mentioned that they were also pretty fast, although… surely one person would move much quicker overall than a much larger group? Or perhaps Beltigre actually was just lagging behind so far… ”I’m sure she’ll be able to find her way sooner or later, we’ll just keep looking out for her in the meantime,” Fianna reassured, trying to maintain a positive front in spite of the pit of growing worry developing in her gut for the Torracat’s safety.
For now, though, this mud was proving a bit of a challenge to go through, and the Braixen very much preferred to not get stuck like the one time that had happened when she’d been younger. Thankfully, Xiao Lan pointed out a grassy patch and led her and Daiki to some ground that was a bit more solid. A soft chuckle left her lips as Xiao Lan seemed quite proud of her achievement as the fire fox praised her and spoke of relying on her knowledge of swamplands to help them get through this particular floor.
Speaking of… there was also the matter of what exactly they might end up facing against as the guardian of this floor… Fianna was somewhat inclined to agree with Daiki’s suggestion of a Muk, it would make sense given that a place like this would be an ideal environment, even though she was sure they liked hanging out closer to cities so that they could eat up all the waste that was thrown out regularly. She had been thinking more along the lines of a tree Pokemon, given how densely populated with trees this place was it seemed sensible for such a Pokemon to live here. She’d heard of such things that were native to Kalos, big, scary looking tree monsters who looked over the forests they dwelled in and punished those who dared to trespass and cause harm to the flora and fauna. Fianna had never seen one for herself, though, so she wasn’t entirely certain on the possibility of that being a guardian in this boggy marshland. An amused chuckle escaped her as Daiki brought up the possibility of a spooky monster, probably more to see what kind of reaction he would get out of Xiao Lan than anything. The Noibat seemed rather nervous and wary as she looked around, insisting that such a thing didn’t exist. The Braixen playfully rolled her eyes as Daiki said that one could never be too sure and warning the little bat to keep an eye out. ”Now now, Kiki, as far as we know no such thing actually lives around here,” she chipped in, unable to help but play along a little bit, ”Those are just old folk stories and fairy tales, after all.”
It was then that Shade playfully suggested that Xiao Lan come to play with them in the mud, most likely meaning it more in a joking manner even though the Noibat didn’t seem to take it that way. Excited at the prospect of a new game, the little bat proceeded to dive into a muddy puddle nearby and began splashing around in it. Within seconds she was practically covered head to toe in mud and moss, growling adorably as she declared herself as the ‘swamp monster’ and held up her wings in a cutely threatening pose. Goodness, that was going to be hell to clean up later… Fianna would’ve been much more concerned about Xiao Lan dirtying her fur up like that, but decided it wouldn’t hurt to play along with the antics of the others as Daiki pointed out the ‘swamp monster’ and put on a look of fear. ”Eeeek! Oh noooo!” the Braixen cried out as she put on a comically fearful act of her own, gasping in mock horror as she moved to hide behind the Zoroark, ”Save me, Daiki! Don’t let the big bad swamp monster eat me~!” She giggled softly to herself as she hid from the ‘swamp monster’, momentarily forgetting about the unpleasantness of the environment around them as her tail wagged a little in excitement in anticipation of what Xiao Lan the ‘swamp monster’ might do next.】☆ ☆

Ai suppressed a shudder at the orb Dotty brought out. She knew exactly what that was. At least- at least Dotty apparently wasn't hurt by it. She was lucky. Ai shook her head, thinking instead on Piper's ability. "That could be useful, really. If you can attack through Dotty's shields, then you can be protected but still deal damage," she pointed out.
"Thank you Vivace, Piper," Ai said, as the two had both offered to help with marking trees. As they went on their way, the espeon once again focused on keeping her senses peeled for any danger. It bothered her more than she wanted to let on how she had no idea what was under the mud all around them. Not to mention, the hot and humid air was incredibly uncomfortable.
"When I was an eevee, my coat was not unlike yours is now, Radium," Ai said, to keep conversation going. She had the sudden obtrusive thought that her own coat had also been caused by a crystal shard and she'd just been made to forget it. What a silly notion. "I'm...very glad I didn't gain a bright green coat when I evolved." God, that would have been... ugh.

Ulani's reaction to finding the candy was to be expected, and a bit uplifting in such a terrible place as this. Prim, with her hand still pressed tightly to her face, nodded as she perused the pile, suspicion in her eyes. She'd been fed these sort of candies before by Huey too, and it indeed had made her stronger, but... why were they in a swamp? She didn't trust it one bit, and yet at the same time she found herself grabbing a few -- if only to lessen the amount Ulani could, potentially, scoop up. She wasn't going to eat any, probably.
Once her arms were relatively full -- berries, crystals, and now candy, what would they pick up next? -- Prim indicated with a swipe of the head that they should keep going; she was still team 'let's move really fast'. It was a bit frustrating, though, that no matter where they went there was always a sight issue. First fog, then the dark, and now... fog, again. When were they going to get on a floor that'd let them see clearly for once?! Prim puffed her cheeks out, then forced herself to exhale out and calm down.
It was fine, it was fine.
Prim spun, carefully, around to look at Ulani, before she awkwardly gestured to the many trails ahead of them. Which one should they take?

A large paw, incredibly gentle, slid mud from Dune's back. The dunsparce stared up, overcome with emotion. Mogwai wasn't mad. Mogwai was just worried about him and supportive and caring and wow he really was like a knight! "Th-thank you Mogwai. I'm f-fine." He tucked his wings in to make it easier for Mogwai to carry him. He felt...super safe.
Dune was going to respond to Daphnes too, really he was, but- "D-daphnes!?" What happened!? Daphnes had- wait, did Chickpea just say he evolved? And Mogwai confirmed it. From up here, Dune could see how Daphnes was now kind of rounded. "Um, s-sword? He l-looks more like a- a ball."
When Mogwai approached his first tree, pulling back his fist, Dune froze in surprise. "Woah! M-mogwai, why did you d-do that?"

Everyone had such interesting abilities: absorbing electricity, passing through weird light particle screens, making those screens, passing on status conditions. Maybe one day she'd figure out what her ability was, and it'd be as cool as theirs! Until then though, Vivace would pool all of her focus into acting as a... marker? Was that a good title? It was simple enough to serve her purposes, besides it was a title that she'd given herself. She was a marker, along with Piper, though, inwardly, she couldn't help but to think she could've done it all by herself; she was strong enough! But, they were a team, and teammates worked together, so it didn't really matter.
"Green fur?" Vivace cocked her head to the side, and tried imagining Ai with anything other than the dark purple she sported now; she couldn't. She eyed a tree, or the form of a tree, and raised her arm before deciding against it. Piper had recently marked a tree, and there was no need to mark another so close to the other. "What shade of green are we talking? Like a dark green, or a lighter, grass, hue?"
