"Sacrifice popsicle." Noriko laughed softly before licking her lips. Froze blood... wonder what it tastes like... ne?" "Azreal!" Yuujinchou turned, his dark gaze going over his Sacrifice's body. So much ice... So little time. Instead of looking at the opposing team, he focused his gaze on the sky. Even though there was no sky in this darkness, he still looked there, and spoke. "Warmth of the sun and flame of life, gather here upon this frozen form and dispel my Sacrifice's strife! I beseech the wind. I beseech the air. Shield him from eyes unfair!" When he was looking back at Nori and Aza... his eyes were so dark that they appeared black. Light flooded the area around Azreal, warmth taking away the biting chill. The second half of Jin's spell created a shield around Azreal, allowing for the soft rays to finish their business before his Sacrifice would have to be pitted against their enemy's next attack. Yuujinchou was pissed. Very... very... pissed. "Darkness beyond the deepest night. Pitch black void which sings of death. Become a thousand daggers to fuse with my might. And pierce my opponents who dare to draw breath!" There was a strange sound in the air... as if metal was scarping upon metal. Over and over again, tiny pricks of sound in the very darkness around the battlefield. Then, unseen and hidden by the abyss which surrounded them... a thousand daggers struck from the shadows, converging on Heartless in a single breath.

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." To say that Azreal was frightened at this point would not be such a lie. He was a bit afraid, unsure what this team was planning to do with the ice, or how they were planning on ending the fight with it. Before he had a chance to speak, his Fighter was already uttering another spell. His entire body was freezing before he felt the warmth from the spell. "Thank you." His Fighter was surprising him much more than he was showing. Did Jin know about this world already? Or was it just luck that he wasn't needing to be guided? No. There was something different about his Fighter. Those eyes were too dark to be the Jin he knew before the fight.
As his body was thawed, he dug his fist into the ground, having lost the control of his legs as they thawed. The chain around his neck was becoming annoying. It was the first time he was attached this way, and though he knew what it was there for, he hated being confined like this. Azreal looked towards his Fighter before the enemy. Rauko would have a run for his money tomorrow if Jin worked like this. Then again, Rauko would be just as surprised as Azreal was now if he seen how this Fighter, proclaimed to be new to this world, truly fought. 'Jin. You maybe strong enough to stand next to Rauko tomorrow, if you kept your anger in check.'
Those eyes were not just dark with the spell fight, but with anger. Though it was helping them get the upper hand in this fight, Jin was letting anger control him. He wanted to say something about it, but it would be something to be explained at a later time. After this fight, if they win.
"How can he be so strong?!" Aza growled as she watched Jin unleash two spells in two breaths. She couldn't use the ice anymore, thanks to the light coming from the first part of the spell, but she could now aim at the Fighter. "Darkness unseen, be still and be silent! To my foes, let your mouths utter not a word and forever remain silent!" A Fighter like this could not fight without words. He was untrained and could not even utter words without her hearing them. He was ruled by hate and by need for revenge and death, Aza would use that to her advantage.
"Didn't your Sacrifice teach you not to let your emotions control you?" Her words were sharp, scolding almost before he let out a chuckle, turning that into a malicious laughter. "Darkness rise and hide the heating light! Freeze the Sacrifice and end this fight!"

For a split second, Yuujinchou raised a hand to his throat. The words to his spell caught... but they weren't enough. The Heartless Fighter's words hadn't rhymed. They were merely the same word. Jin's murderous aura intensified as he smirked dangerous and lowered his hand. "Darkness unseen," he began. "be still and be silent! To my foes, let your mouths utter not a word and forever remain non-compliant!" He turned their spell back on them... reinforcing the power behind it with a true rhyme." Noriko paled slightly as she reached a hand up to her throat, feeling her vocal chords restricting themselves. 'He can't be untrained! It is impossible for someone to be this strong and have no training!' her voice screamed through her connection to Aza.

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." Azreal forced himself to stand before he looked over Jin. There was something wrong, something completely strange. Unless.. No. Chuckling, the first time in a long time since he had laughed in a fight, Azreal smirked. He had been underestimating Jin. Sure, anger and rage were coming from his partner, but he was following the lead of instructions and the other team. "Jin. Either you are the world's quickest learner, or you are very observant." Azreal stated as he returned his hand to the same location it was before, rubbing his thumb across Jin's hip. There was another option, a few more actually, but Azreal was rather surprised and allowing it to be acknowledged.
"The spell fight is over unless Heartless can come out with a spell. I will give you five minutes before this fight is terminated." Azreal stated, watching as the other team struggled to emit sound, or to counter this attack. They were outsmarted by a team that had just come to be. By a Fighter who admitted to no other fights than this. Rules were rules, and Azreal knew them by heart. Jin could have merely just followed Azreal's instructions on how to win this fight, and after the first passing of spells, learned how not only to counter them but to weave them on his own.
Rage gripped her as Aza struggled to find sound. This could not be happening! She could not have lost to an amateur! Touching her throat, Aza shook in rage. This wasn't right. No one had yet to beat her! Heartless was undefeated!
'He was untrained at the beginning of this fight. Maybe it was a trick! Master would make this team into his own once he found out. There is no way we can win this one. I have no voice to counter his spells! I have failed you, Noriko. I have lost this battle.'

Yuujinchou's hip muscles didn't contract like the first time Azreal had touched him. Instead, the slight stroke of the thumb made the Fighter smirk in approval. But he kept his eyes on Heartless. "You told me that the spell was stronger when it rhymed. Their spell didn't. I merely fought as you instructed me to, Azreal." he spoke, his voice still cutting through the darkness like a cold blade. 'This is impossible!' Noriko thought to her Fighter. 'You haven't failed me, Aza... they tricked us. Somehow they tricked us. He HAS fought before! His change in the battle was too sudden, too cold... he drew on something else... and I would bet my life he was taught how to do this...' She looked at Aza and shook her head. They had lost, and they both knew it. "Shall I kill them?" Yuujinchou asked softly, having remembered Azreal's earlier command.

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." True. Their spell didn't rhyme, but it had the same affect. Rhyming words were stronger, and when countering using the same words but with the rhyming pattern, it was easy to tell which one would win. It was why Azreal told Jin to rhyme his spells and not fall back on the same word. Jin was obeying every command, even though Azreal only told him one spell. 'Jin. You are worthy of being my Fighter. My brother has no reason to fear.' The coldness to his Fighter's voice did not bother Azreal as much as it could have. His brother and himself were often found being much, much colder in the fight than outside of it.
'He has been taught, but this was his first battle. I can tell by two things. His Sacrifice during the beginning instructed him with his first spell. Second, he was reacting much more with his emotions than a seasoned Fighter. Be trained ahead or not, he has not entered a Fight before and thus still our weaker.' Aza bowed her head, laying both hands by her side before bowing. She admitted defeat in the only way she could while still under the affects of a spell.
"No. You have silenced them and that is enough. If they refused to accept it, they would be killed. I am a fair person and only wish death on one who does not accept defeat." Azreal looked towards the other team before lowering his head slightly. "You have been defeated by Fearless. This fight is over." As Azreal spoke, the darkness faded, showing the true world once again.
"Fearless. We will fight again, and we will not lose to you again." Aza stated as she rose from the bow. Turning on her heel, he headed back towards where they came from. 'If trained more, Master would have these two before us. One week, we will come back then. Or do you think sooner, my dear?'
"Well fought. You have surprised me, Jin." Azreal stated before heading towards the bench, nearly falling on it as he looked over the wounds on his arms. He would not admit how tired nor how sore he was right now, nor would he. It was a Sacrifice's job not to feel pain, and he would not show it over such minor wounds.

The emotion of rage fled from Yuujinchou's eyes as the man straightened, his gaze however remaining fixed on the team. "When we fight again," Noriko spoke, her own emotions well in check. If could have been worse... So much worse. "We will hold nothing back." she turned, deftly slipping one arm around Aza's waist as they exited the park. 'We wait until we are ready to fight them.' Noriko's thoughts went out. 'We were not harmed in this fight... and he could have killed us. The fighter was holding back... even if he doesn't realize it.' When the two women were gone and the late night stillness of the park descended over them once again, Yuujinchou turned to Azreal and, for the first time, gave his Sacrifice a perfectly clear view of his deadly gaze. It was so much more penetrating and dangerous than the one he had worn while sword fighting. He reached out one hand toward Azreal... and then blinked. The darkness passed from his eyes and their crystal blue warm glow returned. For a moment, he seemed confused. "Azreal, are you alright?" Jin asked softly, seeing how exhausted his Sacrifice was. That confusion however, remained. "Azreal, I..." He had intended to go to he older man's side, but Yuujinchou suddenly stopped moving and simply collapsed to the ground unconscious.

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." 'He could have killed us if he knew the power that he controlled. I do not think that his Sacrifice knows the power that this one holds, but it was clear within his eyes tonight. Despite everything we already know, we must train harder before we fight again. There is a high chance that the Fighter will find and harness the power within the month, if the others find out about it.' While they were moving, Aza felt pressure within her head. There was another Fighter within the area, more than likely the Sacrifice's brother by the protective feel to him.
'There was something strange about him tonight. Something that I have yet to understand.' Azreal looked over one last wound before looking towards his Fighter just a few seconds before his Fighter fell. "It is you that I am worried about." Azreal, despite the soreness of body and soul, caught his Fighter before he touched the ground.
"He is a lot stronger than I first thought." Rauko stated, emerging from the trees to the left of the pair. "How much?"
"Instructions in the beginning and an example of a spell. The rest he managed on his own some how. His brother must have taught him more then I first thought. How long have you been here, brother?" Azreal stated as he didn't even bother looking up until the end, when he had Jin comfortably in his arm and on his own feet again.
"Long enough to see the changes. He may be able to hold his own against me within the week, but he still has a lot to learn." With that, Rauko turned and lead the way back to their house. The brother's moved silently, both having said what they needed to. Though Jin may not have noticed it, Rauko had been there ever since he left the hospital. Long enough to be there in the fight, hidden within the darkness. It was a skill they learned for school, how to allow others to be within the fight but not participating. A handy skill for when you were watching another fight.
As the two entered the house, Azreal laid Jin on the couch before sighing. Though the wounds were closed, there was now blood on his Fighter's body. "I will stay and watch him. We have a class tomorrow, a fight, correct?"
"Yes. I would have invited him to join as your Fighter, but he may be too weak still. Allow him to rest, there is bound to be someone who can take his place."
"I will not have another Fighter. I will stand out tomorrow if he isn't back to full strength by then. Anyways, he is bound to have questions."
"Take the day off then, if either of you aren't up to full strength. There are teams that have already formed and I will teach them myself. There are at least two students who already have knowledge of this and they will be my aids tomorrow. Do what ever you need, but make sure you don't get yourself hurt again. It was hard not to add my own spells to the fight." With that, Azreal grabbed the roll of medical tape his brother tossed at him before watching Rauko head towards his bedroom. Removing his shirt, he sat on the loveseat, looking over Jin on the couch while he covered his wounds. They would be fine tomorrow, but it was Jin who had him worried. Jin had used a lot of energy during that fight and with how unexperienced he was, Jin would have a slim chance of being completely fine by tomorrow morning.

Noriko laughed darkly as she and Aza walked through the quite early morning streets. She leaned her head on Aza's shoulder as she spoke softly. "When we fight him again... we'll kill them both, Aza." she promised. "He's, no doubt, exhausted to the point of collapse after that. His body isn't trained. He doesn't physically understand. Mentally, perhaps... but his body is new to this world. All we have to do is defend and tire him out in the next fight."
If Yuujinchou had known that Azreal was worried about him, if he had been aware that he was now at his Sacrifice's home, and if he had realized that Azreal was still wounded... Perhaps he would have woken sooner. As it was, it wasn't until 4:37am that Jin's blue eyes opened slightly. And that was only because he was forcing himself to wake. He remembered a feeling of danger... and the man hardly wanted to wake to a potentially volatile situation. If only he had known that a few times during his unconscious sleep, he had spoken the word 'Niisan'... "Do... doko desu ka?" Yuujinchou whispered, seeing a rather unfamiliar ceiling above him.
Translation: Niisan = Brother Do... doko desu ka? = Where... where am I?

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." Holding her Sacrifice by the hip, Aza seemed less like the Fighter of Heartless than she had during the fight before. She cared about Noriko, more so than anyone else in her life. "We will kill them both, make their end so horrible that they will beg us for death! His presence left as soon as we entered the forest. yes. This was near and hour's fight, and we just have to wait maybe another ten before he will be ours for the taking." With that, Aza chuckled darkly. She could already see it, both of them begging for death once they were done with them.
Twice, Azreal had fallen into a deep sleep only to be pulled out by a single mumbled word. 'Niisan', 'brother'. With the second time that he awoke, he decided to stay awake. He had enough sleep, and he doubted that he would get any more today. Azreal barely even looked up when his own brother came out and sat directly across from him on the other end of the 'L' couch.
Their house was spacious and more like a fancy house than anything. It was a thank you gift from their friends at the school, once they found out that these two teachers were living in a cruddy and run down apartment due to their small budget. Many of the things in the house were already there when they got it, only a few things they had bought to make it their own place.
Folding his hands under his chin, Azreal looked towards Jin, deep in thought. Rauko was reading a book, one of the few that had nothing to do with this world, the one they lived in as a child, or anything close to either. A fantasy book, about dragons and wizards. They both read, and both tastes were pretty close to each other.
"Az, do you want me to remove your marker, or leave it in for you?" Rauko staed, hardly noticing his brother's blank face and eyes. Thinking and looking over something. "Az, you in there? Come on, bro, talk to me will yah?" Picking up a pillow, Rauko tossed it towards his brother, who caught it without really noticing it.
They were completely different here at their own house. So much like children when they were away from the eyes of society. That was, when something wasn't bothering one of them. Standing, Rauko entered the kitchen.
"Morning, Jin. How do you feel?" Azreal stated fifteen minutes after his brother started cooking breakfast. The pillow tossing had been about an hour ago, both of the brothers remaining quiet until Jin started to wake. "You are safe, and in my house. No need to fear."

Blue eyes shifted and focused on Azreal, any fear that had been within them, dissipating almost instantly. They remained that way for a long moment, studying his Sacrifice and taking in the bandaged wounds, before Yuujinchou closed his eyes and simply lay on the couch. "Gomen nasai..." he whispered softly. "You were injured... and... and I couldn't help you. I wanted to... but my body just refused anything I commanded..." He was exhausted, that much was evident since he couldn't keep his eyes open. In fact, Jin's head didn't even hurt, even though Rauko was only in the kitchen. Normally, it should have twinged at least a bit. But now... Nothing. "I was supposed to be strong, to help you... and I failed." Of course he knew he had won the fight... but he had also betrayed his own weakness by collapsing.
Noriko yawned slightly, "It's been a while since we've had such a hard fight, hasn't it, Aza?" she asked softly. "Next time... lets torture them before delivering the final blow... alright?"

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." "Yes. It has been a while since anyone was able to stand up against us. Next time, yes. We shall torture them before killing. It would be so much fun!" Aza, despite feeling sleep edge on her mind, continued to travel. They had a ways to go, and knowing their master, would be in deep trouble for their mistake.
Azreal hardly noticed the bandages along his body. They were nearly completely healed by now, his body having a quick healing rate. When Jin looked over him, he could see the emotions dwelling within his Fighter's mind. Those eyes, despite being a brilliant blue, held the emotions he had been worried about the entire time since his Fighter went out. Worry and blame.
"Jin. You helped me. You won the fight. There is nothing to worry about. Please, don't blame yourself." Azreal stated, looking over his Fighter. He could feel how tired his Fighter was, just by the energy coming from him. All fighters had a natural energy presence, and those within a certain range were alerted to it. Thus, the pain in a Fighter's head when they were close to another, in another's range. Jin's presence was low, too low.
"You did not fail. You were strong." Azreal did not once doubt his Fighter's strength. Not after the first attack. There was something else though. His body refusing to follow through on a command?
"His body was acting on reflexes more than likely, Azreal." Rauko whispered as he passed his brother's side. Looking over Jin, he folded his arms. 'I wonder if his brother trained him hard enough that despite his mind's control, his body and instincts had complete control during that fight. There is a high chance that Jin does not know how to fight like he did tonight and that his mind, after refusing his true self for so many years, has forgotten what his body already knows.'
Staying by his brother's side, Rauko watched Jin's body for a little bit before looking down at his own brother's face. Azreal's eyes were different. A mixture between his normal color and the darker hue they took on when he was thinking, calculating. Rauko could tell that Azreal was trying to keep his face soft and under control for his Fighter who more than likely was blaming himself for those wounds on Azreal's body. There was always one Sacrifice, in the real and uncontrollable fights, that was injured in the battle. It was often for a Sacrifice to get injured. Jin would have to learn that no matter how hard he protected Azreal, the Sacrifice would always get hurt in one way or another.

"That's just it..." Yuujinchou replied, finally opening his eyes. For a moment, he watched Rauko cautiously, somewhere worried that the older brother would find fault in him and force him from Azreal's side. "I don't blame myself for your wounds, but..." he blushed slightly, obviously embarrassed. "The least I could have done was stay conscious long enough to get YOU home... in... instead of the other way around..." the man whispered. That was what he felt bad for. He knew Azreal could get hurt in the fight. Because of this, Jin had wanted to protect his Sacrifice with everything he had and still be able to battle their opponents. 'His body was acting on reflexes more than likely, Azreal.' That admission from Rauko stung... because it was the truth. If Yuujinchou was honest with himself, he would have to admit that he really didn't remember the fight. He recalled entering the battle, and coming out of it to see Azreal wounded... but Fearless victorious. Everything else just seemed a blur... an incoherent blur at that. Thinking on it made his head hurt, but even though he forced every ounce of willpower into his arm, to bring it up and lay it over his forehead in an attempt to block out the room's light... he couldn't. 'Was it normal to be this exhausted after a fight?' he wondered, obviously confused. Instead, not wanting to worry Azreal any more by admitting that he literally couldn't move at that moment, Yuujinchou smiled slightly, though it was a half-hearted attempt at best. "I'm glad we won though... and that you weren't hurt too badly..."
"He'll be angry..." Noriko whispered, obviously dreading the meeting that they would have to have with their master before being allowed to finally get some rest. "Promise me you'll stay by my side, Aza-chan..." As the two continued walking, Nori realized that there were only two things in the world that she feared. Losing Aza... And their master's wrath.

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." "Have I yet to leave you? We fight together and we shall take his anger together." Aza was confident that they would stay together, yet she feared the same two things her Sacrifice did; losing Noriko and their master's wrath.
"We are almost there. He will met us in his room like always.." Though Aza acted confident, her spirit was shaking. There was only one person in this world who could make her spirit shake, and that was their Master. A dangerous person for sure.
Azreal could tell that his brother was deep in thought as well, though there were no signs of it. They were both thinkers, analyzing everything that went on around them. Rauko's position next to his brother was normal, a protective posture at the least. It also showed his rank. A Fighter stood, a Sacrifice was taken care of. Servant and Master, as many viewed it. It wasn't that way with the brothers, nor would it be with their teams. Master and Servant life brought back a rough time in their lives, and the two would not have it again.
"Don't worry about it, Jin. Fights take a lot out of a person, especially with how you were fighting." The way Jin reacted when his brother got closer was rather strange. No reflexes with another Fighter this close. It could not be possible for the two to already get used to the presence of each other, yet Jin was not showing any signs. A sideways glance at his brother's posture showed him the same thing. Jin's Fighter spirit was down, too weak to even alert its presence. "Yes. I am glad that we won, and that I am not hurt badly. But it is you that I am worried about, Jin. Please, get some sleep. You have yet to recover."
There was something off. Jin was acting strange. His body was too weak, as well as his spirit. As a Fighter himself, Rauko knew the signs of exhaustion. Not only was the spirit too weak, but it had called on the energy from the body, making both suffer. The fact that Jin was able to fight against those two was odd as well. With the energy that he felt at the hospital was nothing compared to the energy he felt during the fight. With the amount of energy it required to do those complex spells, it would require a highly trained Fighter in order to survive them. Rauko barely even started on them himself!
Laying his hand on the back of his brother's chair, he seemed to relax. It was this movement that had Azreal worried. It was a sign that something was off, that something wasn't making since to his dear brother. 'Brother. Please tell me that you are getting the same idea here. Please.' Azreal knew that his brother did not have a connection with him, but it was his own forward leaning posture that would alert Rauko to his own thoughts. The two spoke with their bodies much more than they did other wise. They were silent around the other, knowing that words were nothing compared to body. It was this training over the years that made them a perfect team despite the fact they sported different names. It also made them very lethal and dangerous.

((Oi! I'm behind the storyline. I'll try to catch my character up. So, sorry~)) Hisa stood up and stretched lazily, “I’m out, you guys,” she announced to the group crowded around the table playing black jack. The new album by VAMPS could be heard blaring in the background, video game noise accompanying it and an argument following a game of pool.
“What the hell?!” Kaede, a buddy of hers objected, “You’re on a roll. You could still win more dough.”
“Or lose it to you,” Hisa let herself laugh, “I think I’d rather not take that risk.”
“Your loss,” he replied grinning.
“See you tomorrow at noon,” Hisa said as she stuffed her cash in her back pocket and walked out the door with a little wave. The gaming lounge had a calming affect on her. It was her safe haven from irritating foster parents.
As Hisa made her way to the house, she smiled. Beating the crap out of Saya had been an impulsive move, but a satisfying one. The fear she had left in her wake at the school, the way her foster parents were scrambling to find a new school, and the freedom of being out of school, was more than she could have hoped for. When Hisa reached the door, her tail started switching considerably; the smile on her face quickly replaced with a scowl. She hated the rule her foster parents had enforced of having to eat dinner together as a family. How they ever thought she’d think of them that way, was beyond her comprehension. She had no family except Emi.
Hisa hesitantly opened the door and slipped in cautiously. Her foster parents were already seated at the table waiting for her. She could feel that something bad was afoot in the air. They were in too light of a mood for her to feel comfortable. Her foster mother’s next words confirmed her suspicions.
“Sweetie, sit down,” she smiled warmly, motioning Hisa to the chair next to her, “We have some good news we’d like to discuss with you.”
Hisa stiffly took the seat offered and glared at her foster mother as she began to serve the food. Their idea of good news was definitely not good news for her.
Once Hisa’s foster mother finished serving, her foster father cleared his throat, “Your mother has enrolled you into the high school Emi attended,” he began, “You’ll be starting tomorrow.”
Hisa felt her jaw clench as she threw back her chair, standing abruptly, "What makes you think that makes the school any better?!” her voice shook with anger, “I won’t go there or anywhere else!”
“Sit down,” her foster father commanded firmly looking her directly in the eyes, “Your mother and I just want what’s best for you. There is no need for such anger.”
Hisa didn’t move, staring back at him. She wasn’t going to back down so easily, “You and her,” she jabbed her finger for emphasis, “Are not my parents. You never will be. I don’t have to give a damn about what you want!”
“Hisa,” her foster father warned.
“—No,” she cut in, “I’m out of here!” and stocked off, slamming the door. They could eat dinner without her. She didn’t want anything to do with them. Things were not turning out the way she had hoped at all. Hisa was fuming mad. She needed a fight. She knew where to look for one. —Relentless— “Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect— Relentless in life.”
