plus every place as its "not on my yard" thing

UK its violence (a lot of it anyway)

I'll have you know we're very proud of our fighting. Only we can use 'bottle' as a verb and keep a straight face.

Like "I'm going to bottle you"?

StarCraft is now THREE SEPARATE GAMES, making Blizzard the biggest money milking company known to man.

Blizzard is rapidly tanking with it's most devoted user-base though as it strives to improve upon itself to draw in new customers. I'm probably not going to get SC2 and D3 even though I spent many, many hours playing D2 and SC1.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but I think we're forgetting the great game of the millennium: Team Fortress 2.

Ayup. That and "glass".
But, up here in Scotland, we just use knives.

And as for games... Have I already brought UT03 up in this thread?

i should of added "unless it's violence to any county we beaten or been beaten at Football/war or the Colonies (inculding Scotland)"

plus what was that game called with the stabing and such what we Banned of some reason...Manhunt 2

It seems we do have a point of no return

of course banning that has not stop the stabing

I'm not forgetting it. I just haven't scraped together the cash to pick it up. Aside from that, I'm needing to leave my hard drive plenty of room to breathe. I'm gonna be picking up Dead Space as soon as I can and praying that my PC can run it.

Wait, Manhunt 2 was banned over there? man you brits got it bad. Even Clockwork Orange was banned over there. Wait, that was Stanley Kubrick's personal decision. But no Biggie, Manhunt 2 it wasn't as good as the first one. I was rather bummed out. Besides, it stole the storyline from fight club. Totally didn't see that coming right away, oh wait, called it in the first level.

Fallout 1 and 2 were straight up Evil though. I mean, wow. I was a porn star and a slave catcher in that game. My "porn name" was "Ebenezer Screws."

And manhunt isn't all that bad compared with some of the crazy deaths in other games. Something about the gun in Turok that removed your brain, or Resident Evil zombies eating people...

I guess that suffocating people with a plastic bag is the worst kind of evil. Nope, can't have that. But we can totally have sick twisted movies like "The hills have eyes 2".

It was only banned because of a mother (who's son was murder by his "obsessed by the game" friend in a drug-related robbery of the game, said murder was identical to one seen in Chucky the mother forgot about that )
cried at the government

Really in Britain anyone can cry at the government and something would happen.

For the sheer sake of it, I'm considering throwing together an official Guild Clan for zOMG! once it finally gets to the point that it's open to the public. What's the general opinion on all of this?

I'm not going to play zOMG at all because it's going to be horrible, laden with in-game advertising, and a perversion of the great website Go-Gaia once was.

However, if you must play a free no-software MMORPG then I guess enjoy.

The problem with manhunt wasn't that it was visceral, it's that it was accessible. I have knives, carrier bags and a paper clip in my house, and Manhunt was like a guide on how to use them as lethal weapons. Manhunt 2 pushed the boat out further by being on the Wii, a family console.
We all know what the Wiimote is like as a gun, but imagine having to butcher and garrotte and bludgeon with it. Other than the weight and the resistance on the object that one could expect in real life...it can a pretty contentious issue.

The wii would be far more evil with those games if the controls werent so wonky. Playing that hospital game on the wii feels more like a bad malpractice simulator with all that shaking and bad ratings that we get whenever we try a simple operation.
