Garet got up brushing his trousers and rubbing his face in pain
"Ok. That was not funny"
Gaomon rudely replied
"Looked pretty funny from where I was. HAHA!!"
Gaomon started to roll over laughing and as he did he saw in the corner of his eye a small black sparkle in the distance.
"Hey guys. Look over there!" Gaomon pointed to where the sparkle was
Garet peeked round to see what Gaomon was looking at. He saw nothing.
"Come on Gaomon there is nothing to there let's go already"
The group started to walk off. Gaomon took a look behind and again saw nothing
"Huh? Maybe it was my imagination"
After saying that Gaomon caught up to the rest. As he did a black shadow covered the area they were in. It looked as if this shadow was following them.

"It's probably just a shadow person...." Shayna shrugged, peeking over her shoulder in the direction.
"Yeah, they can be a pain..." Komorimon sighed.
"If you would like, I can take a look for you..." Shayna offered.

Garet didn't like the idea of going to check shadow plus he really wanted to find this golden glow so he can find Gennai
"If you'd like but i'm not coming. Tell you what. We'll meet in this spot in half an hour. Me and Gaomon will go look for the golden glow and you and Komorimon ca go check the shadow out. Sound like a plan?"
Gaomon looked surprisingly at Garet
"Wow. That is actually a good idea but it came from you."
Garet got annoyed
"Watch it Gaomon!"
"Well im all for the plan. How about you two?"
Garet and Gaomon start to glare at Shayna and her partner unil they got an answer

Shayna nodded.
"Sounds like a plan. Komorimon, let's get to work."
Both run off in the direction of the shadow.

Garet hinted a cheeky smile as she ran off
"Man. I do love a girl who is serious about her work"
Gaomon punched Garet in the stomach to stop him from day dreaming
"Come on loverboy. Let's go find this golden glow. By the way you've got some drool on your face."
Garet went bright red and rubbed the drool off his face. As he did he noticed a peice of old paper on the ground.
"What the-"
"What did you find Garet?" Gaomon asked
"It looks like a map of Network City." he replied as he tried to make out the drawings and writings on it
"Lemme see that" Gaomon snatched from Garet
Garet frowned and waited from Gaomon to say something
"Ok. Our best bet is to go to Network Square which is that direction"
Gaomon pointed north east of where he was facing. His finger revealed a city landscape filled with digimon.
"Alright. Let's go" Garet was eager to find the golden glow.
As Garet and his partner walked out of a cabled alleyway into a wirey Savana they were suddenly ambushed by a bunch of Datamon.
"Hmm fresh Data!!! Hehehehehe!" one of the Datamon cackled as they approached Garet and Gaomon
"Want me to take care of this faulty machines?" Gaomon joked
"Go for it"
Garets digivice lit up and blasted a beam of energy to Gaomon.
"GAOMON DIGIVOLVE TO...........GAOGAMON!!!"
As he digivolved the Datamon stepped back. Gaogamon growled to indimidate the Datamon but it was no use.
"Ha. Your outnumbered my friend" sneakily shouted a Datamon
"GRRRRRRR" Gaogamon was ready to attack

Shayna and Komorimon took off running towards the shadow.
"You sensing anything?" Komorimon asked as they turned a corner.
"No, it's not a shadow person, but I still want to know why they were watching us." Shayna came to a halt as the mysterious person stood in front of them.
"Hello Tamer." The shadowed figure than released an attack.

Gaogamon bravely fought off the pack of Datamon. But the kept attacking relentlessly.
"DATA CRUSHER!"
The Datamon surrounded Gaogamon and crushed him large shards of data. He became energyless and was battered an bruised
Garet ran over to him. He shredded a tear as he saw Gaogamon slump to the floor in his weak state.
"Gaogamon NOOO!! It's ok buddy. I'm here with you. Stay down man or they're gonna kill you"
"I must...fight...to...protect you Garet"
Gaogamon slowly attempted to get up. But failed an helplessly slumped back down.
"Gaogamon don't leave me. Your my friend. Don't go" Garet blubbered
"Hehehehe you human are coming with us" one of the Datamon said as he grabbed
"Arrgh. Get off me. Get off !!" Garet shouted trying to hold on to Gaogamon's mane
Garet became in a state of desperation. His digivice was started to glow a bright blue colour and it was making all sorts of noises.
"GAOGAMON!!!!" Garet whaled
As Garets voice echoed throughout Network City, the light from his digivice shot out and created an aura around. Gaogamon woke up and went into a rage
"ROOOAAARRR!!"
Gaoamon started to power up and gain enormous amounts of strength. The Datamon and Garet stood stil mesmerized by what Gaogamon was doing. Garet shot a beaming grin at what he saw.
"GAOGAMON DIGVOLVE TOOOOO........."

Komorimon quickly jumped into action, grabbing Shayna out of the way before the attack hit.
"Who are you!?" Shayna yelled as Komorimon set her down on the ground.
"Who I am in to no concern of yours since you'll be dead soon Tamer!" The shadowed figure announced before launching another attack at Komorimon.
"Hmph!" Komorimon winced and he dodged out of the attacks way.
"Komorimon Digivolve to........ Chiropteramon!" Chiropteramon's mechanic body stood protectively in front of his partner as he waved for the foe to try once again.

"GAOGAMON DIGIVOLVE TO..........MACHGAOGAMON!!!"
Gaogamon gained so much power he was able to digivolve to his ultimate form MachGaogamon.
Garet looked on in shocked as he could not believe what just happened to
his partner. After a brief pause he smiled.
"MachGaogamon!!! You look awesome!"
Machgaogamon replied with witty remarks
"I do don't I"
He shot a determined and red hot angry face at the pack of Datamon that were still holding Garet.
"Didn't your mother ever tell it's not nice to bully someone who is smaller than you. Take this you big cowards."
Machgaogamon loaded a cannon on his shoulder
"HOWLING CANNON!!"
The force and velocity of the attack sent the datamon flying elsewhere. Alls that was left was a puff of smoke. Garet was nowhere to be seen. Could he have been sent flying as well?
"Garet...?" MachGaogamon murmured and feared for the worse

Chiropteramon suddenly turned and looked to his left.
"Hmm? What is it?" Shayna asked, noticing her partner's distraction.
Chiropteramon's eyes widened and he ran over and caught Garet in his arms.

Garet was completely out cold. He was still breathing though there was no motion while Chiropteramon put him down gently.
The shadowy figure spoke
"Hahaha. Now I can destroy you both!"
MachGaogamon appeared
"Garet! There you are!"
He looked up the shadowy figure
"What are you?!"
"Your worst nightmare" the shadow said snickering in an evil manner
MachGaogamon gritted his teeth and thought to himself
"I have to protect Garet. Even if it means sacrificing my own life to do it"
MachGaogamon began to charge at the figure.

Shayna rushed over to Garet to check on his vitals as Chiropteramon joined MachGaomon in the attack upon the hooded figure.
"Sonic Barrage!" Chiropteramon yelled as he sent a ton of missiles.

The shadowy figure replied with his own attack
"DUSK INFERNO!"
It unleashed waves of darkness upon MachGaogamon and Chiropteramon.
MachGaogamon was not in the mood for this
"Hey you big black of ugliness. I'm tired of your games! Take this!
GAOGA TORNADE!"
MachGaogamon wipped up a tornado put before he could start attacking the shadow fully it countered the attack and blasted him away.
MachGaogamon got blown away. As he got up he looked on at Garet in his motionless state. He yelled
"Grrrrr! This is it! This is for you Garet!!!" MachGaogamon started to gain enormous amounts of power and energy and a darkened aura started to glow around.
"MachGaogamon digivolve to....CHAOSGAOGAMON!!"
MachGaogamon had dark digivolved into his chaos state.

(I'm hoping I don't mess you guys up with your shadowy figure guy, but i decided i want to come in randomly. If you guys don't like this idea, then ignore my post please.)
Just as MachGaogamon had dark digivolved, a loud, female voice let out a warcry in the distance.
"Helter Skelter!!" cried the voice, as a powerful, continous beam of blue light traced the ground inbetween ChaosGaogamon and Chiropteramon, which soon froze after it hit the ground, creating a rather large wall of ice.
After the wall was made, Bastemon came flipping through the air, making her dramatic entrance. She landed on one knee, in front of the two digimon and their tamers. She immediately stood up, looking at both digimon. "Hello boys,
Mind if i play too?" Bastemon said, placing a hand on her hip, and giggling a bit.
Out from behind the wall of ice, came a boy who looked about age 18, he had shoulder-length snow white hair, and piercing yellow eyes. He wore a long-sleeved black shirt, that had a very wide neck hole so it almost didn't cover his shoulders. He had a necklace on that had knives strung on it, he also had long, black baggy pants and some black boots on. "Good work with the wall, Bastemon." He stated.

(thats kool dude the more the merrier i say so no problem)
ChaosGaogamon was completely out of control. He went into a rage again facing off against the shadowy figure.
"DARKNESS KNUCKLE!" shouted ChaosGaogamon as he threw a dark filled clenched fist at the enemy.
The figure could not handle such darkness and became hurt. Upon this it transformed into it's natural form. It was revealed as MetalPhantomon.
Still out cold Garet sturred in Shayna arms and started to mutter to himself
"It's time. It must happen. It shall be over soon. Don't worry"
