Smiling down at Ryuukaze's sleeping visage, Naoko adjusted himself just enough that he was able to get off the violinist without waking him. He pulled a cover off the sofa, gently tucking his akuma in. Of course, had his arm been fine, the blond would have happily carried Ryu to bed... but he couldn't really do that at the moment. Instead, Oumori gently kissed Ryuu's temple, and turned off the light.
Naoko headed into Ryuu's bedroom, knowing that if the other man woke, he'd easily go there looking for him. After all, the pianist didn't want to worry his lover. So quietly, and carefully due to his arm, NAKO slipped into bed and lay down.
It didn't take him long either, to fall into dreams as well.
"Sou ka..." Nakai replied, looking out the windshield and hoping it would stop raining. They should have gone somewhere with valet parking... "But you lived through it." he spoke, glancing at the 'kid'. "I mean, you were stronger for it and it was probably a helluva lot harder than I had it growing up... but... you made it, Hi-chan. Hell, you became a star a lot younger than I did." the blond smiled, leaning back in the chair and hoping for a break in the rain. "Plus you had Izzy there with you. You've got family. It's just not a traditional one, that's all."

"I know, you say that...but I don't want to take chances. The translator will do his work as a bodyguard if needed. We've been through so much, Akihiko. I wouldn't want to lose you again." It was plain and simple to Izzy after all that he had gone through, he was afraid to lose him again.
Izzy smiled brightly when that gorgeous set of eyes turned to look upon him again. "Hontou ni? Abduct me?! Wait what?! You thought I'd refuse?" He blinked a little bit confused.
But his fun wouldn't last because the limo was slowing down and the driver tapped twice on the window.
"Ah...we are coming up on the drive so we're going to be stopping soon. Once we're inside, I'll meet up with Shou quickly...and I hope you have a good time. I really do." He gave Akihiko's knee a squeeze and took a deep breath hoping that everything his Aunt had arranged would go off without a hitch.
It wasn't long after that the car did stop; and just as Izzy had said, the man opened it soon after. Izzy stepped out first as if on cue and the flashes of cameras upon him were like a sunburst. He took it well and smiled for the cameras but wished it wasn't so bright. He moved forward and waited patiently for Narcissus. They needed to at least look like they were friendly. Izzy wanted everyone to think that things were well again.

What wouldn't I do for King and Country... Yes Sir!------------------------------------------------}:- Asato Hiroki Chairman's Secretary - Ohayou Productions
Doing what one does best...??
Hiroki nodded, "I'll speak with him." His words cool and controlled even a he own dark eyes caught those blue ones. Another ping to his heart warned him that in possibly a month, he'd lose that blue-eyed gaze upon him. Cruel world...very cruel world.
However, it wouldn't be difficult to follow those instructions. He had no plans of revealing Aki's health condition to Nezumi. That was a personal matter left for family alone...for now.
Although somewhere in all of this, he had to change and prepare for the party. Reality, he would have rather stayed at the hotel and packed for a flight to Japan. Leave on the Redeye....but he should go and mingle with those that would be his peers and business associates. It was true. He'd have to get to know MeKA better. He needed friends and allies if he were to do well against Matsumoto Izo.
So as he got of the elevator, he walked down the hall and knocked on Nezumi's door and waited. He'd wing what he had to say. He didn't have time to plan so this was the best he'd be able to do. "Nezumi-san, are you in there. I need to speak with you if you're available."

Nezumi heard the knock on the door, but chose to ignore it. He had nothing to say to Hiroki, and he couldn't imagine what the man would have to say to him.
Of course, little did the mouse know that he had left his room door ajar, and the knock combined with a little bit of the wind coming in from the open balcony caused the door to slowly swing open, revealing the manager standing alone out on the balcony, shirtless in the cold, hanging on the rails with a dried rose in his hand, giving the appearance that he was seriously about to jump....

I just always wanted that kind of life, is all. Sometimes I swear I'd trade in being a star if I could just have family..." Running his hand through his hair, Hideki chuckled and sighed, leaning his head against the seat. "It's no big deal, though. Not like I can do anything about it. I'll quit whining now. When Hiroki knocked no one answered but the door did partial open to reveal a glimpse of the manager at the edge of the balcony with the dried rose in his hands.
For a moment, Hiroki stood there and took in the scenario wondering what sort of crazy drama he was being privy to. The thought of Nezumi jumping disturbed Hiroki on a few different levels but not the expected ones. First, it was one of his employees; he did care for them. To think he might be the cause of this didn't set well.
Second, if this were really what he was seeing then, Nezumi went seriously overboard since Hiroki had gone no farther than a rose. Heck they hadn't even kissed! Of course, this did flag up many warning signs in Hiroki's head that if this were the state of things at this level, god knows what would have happened had they been deeper in a relationship. That...made him a bit nervous.
"Nezumi-san, you left your door ajar so I apologize for the intrusion. You really should come inside and put something warm on. You're going to catch a cold out there." said Hiroki slowly. He didn't move closer because he wasn't stupid. If Nezumi was in a state of instability, Hiroki knew better than to aggravate it.

Well...s**t. It figured something like this would happen...his damn door left open like that. Well, while he had hoped Hiroki would have just gone away and thought he wasn't in, the man knew different now, so he may as well deal with it.
At least...he did feel somewhat better with his cheeks warmed from the drink and a happy buzz going on in his head.
"Ne, Hiroki-san, come join me. The city looks so beautiful from up here, and it's not all that cold. Not like in Japan!" the mouse called back over his shoulder, sounding rather cheerful, given the circumstances.
What else could he do, though, but deal? Sure, he felt utterly depressed, jilted, and generally shitty...but he may as well try to act like he's somewhat ok. Wasn't like he intended to kill himself...though Hiroki wouldn't know that by looking.

"Well, with how I'd acted, of course I thought you might refuse." Akihiko replied as if it made perfect sense. "But.... don't worry. You won't be losing me any time soon. I guarantee it. Short of another natural disaster, I'm all yours." the musician smirked teasingly.
However, any other words were cut from his mind because the limo was slowing down and Izzy was telling him a few last minute details. All Akihiko really had to do was meet this bodyguard, so he would probably need to find Crystal Ishi first. Izzy would run off to be with Shou, which would have been a lie to say that Narcissus wasn't a tad bit jealous about that.
And then the door opened and Izzy stepped out. Akihiko could see the flashes going off, and knew that as soon as the other man was away from the door, he himself needed to climb out of the old limo. And so he did. Gracefully, his hair perfect, Narcissus stood fully, the Victorian overcoat flaring out around him as he did so. A slight smile was on his lips, an almost tease of a smile, as cameras flashed and questions were thrown.
Of course most of those questions were in English and thus Akihiko had to ignore them. There were a few girls in the crowd who were calling out 'Narcissus!' and holding signs in Japanese proclaiming their love for him. Fans... Fans even in America... It hadn't really struck the man until now that Izzy was right. The US was a ripe ground for a tour. Because it wasn't just one or two girls... no... those blue eyes could see a throng of them. And it had only been announced that he would be joining the party a few hours ago. What would it have been like had they had more advanced notice?!
However, that blue gaze focused back on Izzy and he followed, waving at the girls and smiling just a bit more for them alone, before heading inside after Ruki.

"Mmm...alright...." he answered and walked out to the balcony and looked out over LA. "It is a lovely sight and maybe you're right...it's not so cold. " But then he glances around and noticed the beer cans and empty mini bottles. Well that meant Nezumi was not going to the party tonight under any circumstances and that obviously the man had taken things harder than he should have. Inside, Hiroki just wanted to beat on a few walls for awhile with his bare fists or beat on Akihiko. Not that the other man had done anything but the idea of an Akihiko punching bag served to lighten the depressing thoughts.
"Nezumi-san, I wanted to talk to you about what was said in the car before. I'm sorry. What I said might have sounded hurtful but I wasn't trying to. Your career is important to me and I didn't want the Chairman to think that we were doing anything that would jeopardize it. I consider you a friend and I didn't want you worrying about losing a job. He was worrying that things would be misinterpreted by other people because he had something important to talk to me about. Tonight, he's officially given his approval, once the papers are signed that...I will be taking over Ohayou once he's unable to do it himself. I'm not sure when that will be but he wanted to be prepared for the future." His words were rather solemn and sincere but he wouldn't get deeply emotional as he was almost overwhelmed by previous thoughts that still invaded his personal space.
"But...I'm sure that sounded way too business like and formal." He scratched his head realizing that wasn't the way he wanted to sound so he tried to find a more compassionate note, "Well...what I'm trying to say in a less business like way is that I care about you as a friend. I know I hurt you and I was wrong for that even if I was trying to protect you...your career and maybe my own. It's not easy being in my position so I reacted with what came to my head first." he admitted but then continued on, "Mostly, I don't know where things might have gone or may go in the future between us...I can't say. I've always been Company first no matter what my own wishes are but I've enjoyed your companionship, your wonderful cooking and fine conversation. As for anything else more involved...to be honest I've not gotten to that point yet...mentally or emotionally. I like to take things very slow...and..,it is very difficult to say how any relationship might go. I'm not ready to dive deeper yet. But you've been in my thoughts and I still find your smile very attractive."
He then shook his head and his brow furrowed some, "Mmm...I have a feeling as drunk as you are, you're not going to remember much of this by morning. You should really come off the balcony..."

Nezumi stood there and listened. Didn't say a word...just listened.
For the longest time, he let there be silence between them after Hiroki finished talking.
"Sometimes...you're a little annoying..." Nezumi finally spoke up, turning his dark eyes across to the man, a small smile on his face as if he just wanted to laugh...
"It's not that I don't get what you're saying....I do. But....despite all of that, aren't you able to make a decision on your own, outside of work? I mean, either you will or you won't, you do or you don't....but you can't say one moment that there's nothing there between us, then come to me and say you're not sure. I don't want you to come and coddle me with words...however attractive you may think my smile is. And don't think that just because I'm drunk, that I don't have my wits about me. I've never been so drunk that I forgot something, and tonight won't be an exception. I just want...I want you to be honest with me, as well as yourself. I'm not happy right now, I won't lie...but I'll be even less happy if you play some game with me. If all you want is friendship....well...don't go giving friends red roses..." he held the rose up in between them, the dried petals fluttering in the air...the way Nezumi's heart still fluttered when he looked at Hiroki.

While Izzy waited for Narcissus, he answered a few brief questions but didn't let them get too deep. However, when he turned and saw the Narcissus fans he couldn't help but smile. He could here their words in English.
"Narcissus-sama!! Please come here for a tour!! We want to see you!!" "Don't leave!! We never get to see you! Come to the US!!!" "We LOVE YOU Narcissus!! "Oh you look so good in that outfit! Is that for one of your songs!? Are you singing tonight here?"
Izzy's grin widened and he looked back at Narcissus, then said in Japanese, "You're fans are wondering if you'll come here for a tour. And they don't want you to leave. They say they never get to see you. And you look great in your outfit...Haha...they want to know if that outfit is for one of your songs and if you'll sing here tonight." Izzy figured that Narcisuss should know what the throng were screaming. It would let the man know that the fans here did watch for any small news of a star they never got to see.
Walking beside Narcissus towards the door, they were greeted by a nice looking, well dressed Japanese man, who flashed his MeKA id before a discreet Japanese bow. "Welcome, Narcissus-san, I'm Ihara Rei. It is a pleasure to be your aid tonight." He was dressed in a discreet black suit that would blend in well without a note of distraction upon him. His hair and eyes were dark and he looked to be in his mid twenties.
"Well, Ihara-san, I thank you for coming down from MeKA's North branch to help out." said Izzy kindly to the man. "I know that Narcissus will be in good hands with you. I think I see Shou-san over there, I'll go and meet up with him." With that, he started walking off in Shou's direction leaving Narcissus with Ihara.
Ihara nodded at Izzy. "I will do my best." He then looked to Narcissus as Izzy started to walk away. "I wasn't told how much translation you would require but to whatever degree you need I'm happy to serve."
-----
Izzy flowed through the crowd and soon caught up with Shou. It wasn't hard to find him considering the way the man was dressed. They had really made all that blond hair look like lush tresses tonight. Actually Izzy wondered if they were going for a noble man or vampire with the look. Either way, it fit the Shou image and mystic. He was downright gorgeous.
"Shou-san!" Izzy waved and walked forward to meet the taller man.
Shou turned then smiled pushing a blond wavy lock out of his face before greeting Izzy. "You finally made it. I was wondering when my boating partner would arrive."
Izzy shook his head and said, "I don't think I ever want to go boating again. But...if I do, I'd always take you as my shipmate. Of course, if it ever did happen we will NOT take canned beans...nor olives...I don't think I could stomach either."
"Oh....I certainly agree. I doubt I'll ever look at a canned food aisle in quite the same way." Shou said with a mirthful tone then handed Izzy a drink. "I've been mingling with your Aunt and speaking to a few of the jet setters here. It's an interesting lot. So would you like to walk around with me...meet some people. We sing later...and I hear Santa will be coming to visit." There was a twinkle in his eye when he said that and it made Izzy wonder what the man was thinking. Sometimes Shou had scary ideas and it worried Izzy when he saw that...special twinkle.
Shou...he was thinking alright. On how to buy a Santa costume and use it to deliver gifts to his band mates...then...wondered if Jun would dress up as a Christmas Elf so he'd have the pleasure of playing Santa's workshop with him. That idea brought a mischievous smile to Shou's face. Because suddenly his mind had Naoko dressed up as a fine porcelain dolly sitting under the tree not far from the fire place. Wait...was this deja vu? Somehow he thought he had seen that before. No it could not be. Mm...But maybe if he dress Ryu in a little soldier's uniform and sat him by Dolly Naoko that would complete the set? Shou pursed his lips as he thought about these things momentarily forgetting where he was. Wait....His eyes twinkled. He could make that a CHRISTMAS EVENT at home! It was then he felt a light hand shaking his arm.
"Shou-san...Dajoubu ka?" asked Izzy knowing that sometimes these...moments lead to extremes he could barely manage on the boat. He didn't want to see one of those...fits here.
"Hai...Dajoubu. Shou answered; suddenly coming back to reality with an intensity that would have swept Izzy right off his feet had he not been dragged off by Shou into the crowd.

What wouldn't I do for King and Country... Yes Sir!------------------------------------------------}:- Asato Hiroki Chairman's Secretary - Ohayou Productions
Doing what one does best...??
"I can make my own decisions and I surely not trying to coddle you. I was trying to be nice." Hiroki felt a little frustrated with the words because this all felt like jilted lover syndrome and they hadn't even gotten that far.
"I wasn't playing any games; I was trying to get to know you better. I thought you were a gentle person and I wasn't moving anything quickly. I thought to give you a rose to make you smile. It doesn't mean I was ready to move to the next level. I wasn't rushing things because I knew my life would probably be...busier than I wanted it to be. It would be hard to deepen any relationship right now with recent events. But I thought, given time...maybe things would go in the right direction at some point and maybe then the right moment would come along. I wasn't planning on the Chairman to step in like he had and make a mess of everything." he said sincerely as he glanced back into the suite then pushed his fingers through his hair.
"I'm sorry I hurt you, Nezumi-san. It was never my intention to hurt you. I like you quite a bit...You've been kind to me...and I care about how you feel. I wish I could take it all back but I can't, so all I can do is move forward and just live with it; wherever the road may lead me." Those words weren't all about Nezumi, so many harsh things and been dumped on him tonight that his soul was a mire. He wanted out but couldn't break free. And he felt so bad that he had trampled his big feet all over the mouse's happy vision in the car. Just one small sentence fit... Life Sucked.
"I need to go now. The Chairman....will be ready soon and I have to attend the party. You should...get some sleep. Your...new....assignment will be given to you and...I'll be flying back to Japan on the first flight in the morning." He turned with a sigh and walked to the door then looked back, "Take care Nezumi-san and have some fun here in LA. I'll see you upon your return to Japan." Opening the door and closed it softly, then returned to his room to get ready.
Upon closing his door, he slid down it and tossed his glass over to the bed. For a long moment he stared at the pattern on the carpet before stifling tears of anxiety. Wiping his eyes, he stood up and walked into his own bathroom and started trying to clean up for tonight. He removed his coat and looked at the file; biting his lip when he banged the tile counter with the side of a fist and let out a groan of utter frustration and sorrow....plus a tad of pain from his own stupidity. "WHY!? Why....? why?..." he cried pitifully then returned to the bedroom and tossed the file on to the bed. "I can't win....for losing."
But...eventually, he'd make it to where he promised to meet the Chairman, the file tucked in close to his heart.

"A few pieces of advice, Hiroki-san..." the intoxicated mouse turned and addressed the man as he was preparing to leave, "My Grandfather used to always say, "If you always wait for the time to be right to do something, then it will never be done", and, "Be mindful of your words, they can impact a life more than you realize." I hope you have a good flight back home. I'll probably...see you around the office..." then he turned back around, leaning against the railing, twirling the rose in his fingers as the man he'd fallen so hard for left him...
All alone now, he could only ponder what would become of things. He'd had such high hopes...but now he felt like his world had become completely bleak an unimaginably empty. What did Hiroki want of him? It was all so confusing...did the man want to take him as a lover? Or was he simply trying to express that he only meant to be friends while attempting to not further hurt his feelings?
Regardless...he thought it would be wise to just...stay away from Hiroki from now on. He couldn't take it...being rejected again. His heart had been scarred time and time again by the rejections of those he had come to adore...so he'd rather just pretend this had never happened than risk more and more tears. It wasn't worth it. It just wasn't worth it.
For a while, Nezumi just stood there, staring at the rose, contemplating throwing it out into the wind. What did it matter to him now, anyway? It was only a supposed token of friendship. Still....for whatever reason, he couldn't bring himself to discard the dried flower. Turning, the mouse went back inside and closed the door, gently placing the rose back inside the book he had pressed it in. Lying down, he let himself cry weakly for another moment...then he drifted off to sleep, hoping tomorrow he could just...get on with things, however need be.

What wouldn't I do for King and Country... Yes Sir!------------------------------------------------}:- Asato Hiroki Chairman's Secretary - Ohayou Productions
Doing what one does best...??
He couldn't say anything in regards to Nezumi's words but those words were probably right after a fashion. Sadly enough the Elephant couldn't explain the other mess he had been shoved into. And maybe that was for the better. He couldn't have Nezumi worrying about him too deeply because life was going to become quite painful in the next month or so. It would be easier this way. Right?
Although, he knew that with all this going on, he would have been much happier had he the mouse running around his feet...and cooking at home. Scary to think that Hiroki could have envisioned such a domestic content life. Oh it just made him all the angrier at Aki...but what could he do?
The Elephant sometimes felt a strange mixture of love and hate for the Old Tiger that ruled Ohayou. But even in his anger he felt love...and loyalty that sucked away his ability to just completely defy the man.
Why did this feel like a cat and mouse game? He'd have laughed if he were to have thought about it but instead he just made his way to the lobby and waited for the Chairman to show.
So Aki got what he wanted. His Legacy would be secure and Hiroki would carry on once he signed those papers. Isn't that what would happen? Yes...Hiroki knew he'd sign them soon. Although...a part of him wished...that he could...move forward with Nezumi...He had to stop thinking about it.
And even more so...a part of him wished that the old man would speak with his grandson before he penned in his name to this binding agreement. This was a deep matter and Hiroki knew that Aki was again pushing the pieces across the chessboard. It was so easy to keep Akihiko out of the loop with Izzy Lucky shining like a new born sun in a black sky.
It wasn't fair...even if Hiroki found Akihiko frustrating and down right annoying at times, something about this seemed as underhanded as what had happened the last time...when he wanted to teach Akihiko a lesson; when Aki sat there and agreed that disowning Akihiko was a brilliant idea. God he had been stupid then. They should have talked to Akihiko...then.
While he thought of the past, his heart pounded against the file as if trying to beat down a wall. Eventually...no soon...soon he'd have to sign this. Aki didn't have very long.
Looking across the room, he spied a plate a fresh baked cookies on the counter next to the front desk. He stared at the cookies for a long moment then walked straight to them and took one...then another. One for each hand. Normally, he didn't do this but his nerves had gotten the better of him. He munched into one cookie and closed his eyes. If he could convince the staff, he'd take the plate if it would distract him from his darker thoughts.
No Sir! ...Where you Lead - that is the Path I Follow.

Do you know what you got into Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do------------------------------------------------}:- SHOU No escaping when I start .traeh ruoy nwo I ni m'I ecnO
Music Industry Christmas Party...
There were so many people to talk to and so much to see that Shou would have been distracted all night had he not wanted to use this party to make connection with various peers. Occasionally, it took him longer to figure out what was being said by the people around him but when Izzy Lucky had arrived that language barrier was eliminated.
Various star, promoters and all sorts of media moguls were available and many of them much more relaxed since this was a Christmas Party after all. But there was one thing about the party that sort of annoyed him. When he spoke with Izzy, he found out that the man was probably returning with Narcissus to Japan. And while Shou was all about making your own choices, Narcissus had so many times screwed the pooch that Shou was fed up.
Ok so maybe...some of it wasn't Narcissus' direct fault but having had so many 'incidents' and apologies then what happened to the poor manager was enough to make the superstar's skin just crawl with irritation. Not many things could appease the man. And well after talking to Izzy a few minutes, he knew that the manager probably would be back at Narcissus' side. Shou tried very hard to be optimistic but in all honesty he would have rather signed Izzy over to be his own manager than have Narcissus run Izzy through another many months of hell.
And that was saying a lot since Shou couldn't really stand the idea of having a manager in the first place. But sometimes he felt he could bend for the right things...
Although even as he was thinking about Izzy's issues, a few of his own rumbled through his head. Jun...what to do about that situation. He never called back. It wasn't a good sign. Usually, one would expect that a person would be excited when hearing that someone else was suddenly alive again. But that...that didn't seem to be the case here. In fact, Shou was certain...well with Naoko there...Yes, well...he had his own thoughts about what happened however, the other parts were fuzz for Shou. Something pinged in Shou's head and recommended that he seek out Naoko at some point but Naoko knew he was alright now. Although...Naoko and Jun...mmm..that settled wrong. Should he talk with Jun again? Call him? Ah....
But these thoughts, he pressed back into his head. Seriously, he wasn't going to entertain the drama...Ryuukaze-san and Naoko-san always had drama. More drama than he wanted to know about so said the Hamu. And well at times, Shou knew that Jun's past....was filled with issues. Then there was that time when Naoko came to visit. Shou didn't remember much then either. He must have fell asleep.
Soon though Izzy was speaking to him and introducing a promoter who had a few venues in the USA. Even though, Izzy wasn't his manager, he was very good at making connections.
