Naqualla'in~ Money is no reason to marry someone. You should marry one that you love and who loves you in return. When people marry for more frivolous reasons, it devalues the entire concept of marriage as it gradually becomes viewed as just some arrangement made for material gain rather than the ceremonial joining of two beings who value each other more greatly than anything else this life has to offer.

*winces slightly and looks into his glass of water, knowing he probably shouldn't say what he's about to say* .... so is that why you and your husband got married? Because you loved and valued each other more than anything?

*She wakes up bright and early still feeling the warmth of space next to her in bed so she knows Officer Dougherty at least made it home last night…very late. As she gets out of bed and ready for her day, she sighs. She knows some men are very passionate about their work and has seen this first hand. She is certainly no stranger to some very long hours and knows he's doing what has to be done. stressed Perhaps she could send over some lunch to him at the Police Station from the restaurant as a surprise. neutral
After getting dressed, she takes the two envelopes and the cell phone Marc had delivered to her, opens and reads the contents within both envelopes and returns them to the drawer of her nightstand. VERY interesting and educational reading. twisted She then puts the cell phone into her purse along with her own and heads to the Main Bar for coffee and to make her phone call.
She enters the bar and grins at Ayami as she starts to make her latte.* Good Morning Ayami. How are you today?

*frowns, looking down at his wedding band* ... I wish I could say it is the reason. We had initially married as a means for him to avoid some trouble he had gotten into. There was no intention of it being a "loving" marriage. It was only within the last few months that we had begun to actually think of each other as lovers. Had we not already been married... it is hard to say if we would be together right now...
*a waiter approaches with their food, setting it in the middle of the table and also setting small plates in front of him and Seth along with giving them each a set of sticks. Not really sure what the sticks are for, he places them off to the side*

Well then…I'm glad you get to enjoy your peace. *Sips her latte for a bit.*
Um…say Ayami, your healing abilities…are they limited to physical healing? What I mean to ask is do you have the ability to heal someone emotionally or mentally. You know…ease their burden in that way? neutral *Looks curiously at Ayami*

*sighs* He is.... not accustomed to dating men. Though I do not believe he was one to take women out on "dates" either. Gi ussta... I fear I am only making him sound worse by saying such things sweatdrop
*picks up the sticks he had put off to the side and looks at them* I did not know what these were for sweatdrop If it is customary to use them for such a dish, then xas I would like ves mzilt for you to show me how to utilize them.

well yes of course - but healing broken bones etc... not so much. Healing wounds of flesh beings is very complicated gonk But lifting heavy emotional burdens! THAT is exactly what I'm trained for *starts humming a familiar churchy tune*

I see. Very good to know. *Grins knowingly at Ayami and sips her latte. She files this information in her brain. This could come in very handy.*
