Xas xas. I mentioned as mzilt to him. He claimed the place in which Black is being held has few guards and that it was the great numbers that allowed them to overpower Black, not their strength. Quortek and I have some experience with vampires, rilu'oh they were vampires of our world. Black seemed to break all the rules of what we knew of such beings, so the vampires of this world must be different somehow.... unless of course Black, like the Mayong Mistmoore of our world, was aspiring to be a god.
Even so, Quortek is not here and I am not one to battle alone. My magic can only protect me for so long and I do not even know if they would be affected by what I have. Which brings the question of whether or not it is worth the risk into play. Black has been a loyal patron for some time and is.... or at least was... the sworn protector of this establishment and all who are in it. Rilu'oh, that oath has been seemingly broken and we do not know what kind of chances we have trying to rescue this oath breaker.
It would be fair to at least give him a chance to explain himself, jhal at the risk of our well-being? It is quite a bit to ask.

She sighs and shakes her head.
"Dammit, this is NOT a good time for this s**t to be going on! Hell, we have dame's legal troubles to deal with, and Brat and I may have to leave on a trip sometime in the near future, Icy is off God knows where, as is Flame...and TES is on the run from the law! Seriously, what else is going to happen around here?"

Xas xas. I do not think dame would even be allowed to leave the immediate area with her charges. Without you, Icy, Flame, and Brat, that leaves few people to take over the rescue. Quortek is gone and I do not know if he would even be willing to help, given how many vampires we have slain sweatdrop Granted we would be slaying more, jhal it would be to save one.
*takes another drag* Jabbress does not strike me as one to "get her hand dirty", as they say, and if jallil does not even remember him, then she is not going to be willing to help him. So I do not know what can be done. I certainly would not go by myself.

She sighs, "Psy is NOT going to do anything like that...she's out of the business now...even though she does have contacts and whatnot.....but I doubt she would take off on a mission like that anyways. How in the hell would she explain that to Dougherty?"

That would be quite difficult. This has come at such a terrible time. What should we tell jabbress? And if this other vampire were to return before we have spoken to jabbress, what would we tell him?

"Well, we tell Psy what he has told us....and then we have a meeting to decide what's the best course of action. And if he returns before we've spoken to Psy....well, he's just going to have to learn some patience. If he wants our help, like he says, then he'd better not get pushy or disrespectful. I still don't know what he expects us to do...I seriously doubt Leko is going to want to travel to wherever the hell he is when she doesn't even remember the man!"
She grabs the shaker and tops off her drink, "Hell Ryzan, I'm a sniper....how the hell am I supposed to take out a vampire with a sniper rifle?"

In our world, it would be possible to "snipe" vampires. I do not know about the vampires of this world sweatdrop It also depended quite a bit on what level of vampire you were up against. The mzilst lowly ones are little more powerful than your average rivvil and can be killed just as easily. Those who are closer to Mayong are more powerful... Mayong being the original vampire.
Those who he, himself, turned to vampires are the strongest beneath him. Those who were turned by them are weaker, and those turned by these are even weaker still. I suppose the... how you say... "pathogen" that transforms them gets weaker and weaker as it is passed.

"Well, it may be possible to do it, but I can tell you right now I don't have the right ammo to do it. GAH! This is so frustrating! Dammit, Brat and I have to deal with some of the Russian mafia....I don't have time to be traipsing off to save some vampire that always made it very clear how powerful he is! stressed "

As I have said, it is quite bad timing sweatdrop
*snuffs out his clove and takes a sip of brandy* Black has been gone for quite some time, xas? I have at least not seen him, jhal I had not seen many for a while when I was taking care of Quortek. In any case, why is it that someone would send word from him only just now?

"Yes, he has been gone for quite some time.....and I have no idea as to why just now someone is here asking for help. Well, now I know what's going on in case I see Psy before you do."
She finishes her drink and gets up to rinse her glass and shaker.
"Well, I think I shall call it a night, Ryzan...just promise me that if I do have to leave, you'll keep an eye on Psy? At least someone with your abilities will be able to protect her in case Dougherty's not around."
She gives him a small smile and heads to the office to go to her quarters.

*after dozing off in the bar for a bit, he awakens, once again feeling embarrassed, but at least thankful that no one is around to witness him there. He quickly finishes up the last bit of brandy that he had not yet consumed, puts the snifter into the sink, then makes his way down to his quarters*

Um…are you meaning about how she and Dec are "married"… *uses her hands to emphasize the quote marks around the word married and then pauses to sip her latte and have a seat by Ayami.* I heard Dec state Dame was his wife. They must have some sort of open marriage arrangement or something. *Raises her eyebrow and shakes her head.* It's none of my business, but I certainly wouldn't make light of any marriage vows I would be taking. talk2hand
