"It's not your fault" Lan said carressing Kane's cheek. "If you weren't here.....He would have killed me" he said as he looked over at his shoulder and saw that the cut had closed up. He rose up and kissed Kan deeply. "We don't have to worry about him ever again" He said pulling Kane down onto the bed. Lan moved in so he was under Kane's arms

Kane was still crying despite Lan's comforting words. "Lan, you're so brave. You defeated him so quickly. But how did I help? I'm sure that even if I hadn't been here you would have killed him in the end anyway." 'After all,' he thought to himself, 'I didn't even do anything.'

"You gave me some thing to fight for" Lan said holding Kane. "My life meant nothing till I met you." he rubbed Kane's sides and looked at him in the eyes. "How bad is the scar? Has it made me hideous?"

Kane smiled a little. "No, not at all. It's barely noticable." Kane hugged Lan and rested his head on Lan's chest. "You know, you're the same for me. I didn't really live before i met you. I just kind of existed. Like a hollow shell. But then you came and now," he paused. "here we are. Strange how life works, isn't it?" Kane had never before every really had reason to think about htings like that.

"Its strange" Lan said "But Im so glad it happened" He brought his hand with the ring on it up to his face. He looked at it and asked "What do these rings technically mean between us, not just spiritualy?"

"Technically?" Kane knew what the word ment, but he couold not figure out what Lan ment. "They show that we are together and that we are connected. I don't know how else to explain it. Unless that's not what you ment?" Growing up in the traditions of his angelic ancestors gave Kane knowledge of most of their beliefs and customs, so it was hard to try and teach them to another.

Lan blushes and rubbed the scar on his face. "Uhm...Well...the only other tradition I know about with rings is..uhm.." he said before whispering "..Marriage......" he flushed and buried himself in Kane's chest

Kane blushed. "I-I never thought of that. But I guess your right." Running his fingers through Lan's hair, he said, "No, it's not really like that. We can tkae the rings off if we start to not get along. But as long as we ware the rings it shows how strong the bond between us is and how greatly we love each other. It's a symbol of our dedication." Kane had always looked at these rings as the ultimate step. The first true expression of love in one's life, and he had surely found his. He never planned to leave Lan, no matter what.

Lan purred as Kane ran his hand through his hair. He brought up Kane's ring hand and held it with his own ring hand. "I will never take off this ring" he said as he blushed and kissed Kane.

Zayroen Ryzil slowly stood up, a serious look on his face "now thats nt a threat, you wouldnt use a sex toy on a demon, know would you wings?" he said in a low voice as he advanced slowly "Says who?" Lucca said with a grin as he tensed the whip rolling one tip on his left hand and advanced too "You know, you look quite cute with that "I'm gonna kill you" look "

Ryzil gave a soft groan, tilting hsi head slightly "and who says im not cold?" he asked, sliding his chilly hand up Lucca's shirt and resting it on hsi stomach
