Frankly Tariq is just glad that looking further into the box had yielded something useful instead of some eldritch horror or something. This time it's he who follows Louise, running a hand through his hair. He's not cut out for all of this adventuring business. All he'd wanted is to step out of his comfort zone a bit, meet a pretty woman, have a nice night, and go home. And yet, here they were.
As they head through the hedges, Tariq entertains the idea that they'd become battle-forged friends, or something like that. That they'd come out of this experience as inseparable and they'd tell stories to their children or something. Bah. Probably not. But he does admire Louise's attitude and spunk more and more with every step deeper into the labyrinth they get. He just hopes they get out soon.
The romantic scene takes him a bit by surprise, considering all the dreary foliage they'd just come through. But something seems....just a bit off.
Eros' arrow takes Tariq entirely by surprise, but the expanding warmth in his heart when he looks at Louise to make sure she's okay isn't entirely unwelcome. He smiles giddily at her. They'd definitely tell their children of their adventure together in the maze of horrors, how they fought off...whoever this was...together, and then had a night of passionate lovemaking. That was definitely gonna happen.
First thing first, though. Had to get rid of the interloper. Tariq picks up the framed photo and shows it to Eros. "Shouldn't you be getting back to your own lover? Leave us alone!" To Louise, he adds, "Don't worry, my love, I'll get us out of this!"

Round 5 Results
=====================================================
The Erote of Longing lay defeated, subdued and bow tie returned to where it belonged. The two fairies hovered near the door, watching the scene before looking back at each other.
"How long have we been here, Kal?"
"Too long, Millie. I'll be glad to get out of this dump at last! Hey, grab the brat and let's go!"
Apparently this was unnecessary, as Pothos had begun to stir. Groaning, he rubbed his head and started to sit up. "Wha'...what happened?" This felt...kinda' like that other time...last year.
Aw crap.
As the Erote recovered his senses, Mo and Princess Luna would be making an unfortunate discovery. Though the scratches from the Erote arrows were shallow, they were no less potent...just their effects seemed to be a bit delayed. Somewhere in the scuffle, Pothos must have grabbed some of Iordanes' arrows. After a short delay, the Faun before him had switched genders...
Pothos stared at the female with wild dog markings, and the towering stallion with stars in his mane. Hooo boy. What other arrows could they have been hit with?
Meanwhile, Kalandandra, the fiery little fairy, had zipped over to Luna, pausing a moment to look 'her' up and down before snapping, "YOU! What did you call me earlier?!?"
Pothos rubbed his temples, knowing whatever came of this, he was going to have a headache. "Look, let's just...get out of here, shall we?" Placing a hand on either of the Fauns' shoulders, he blinked and the small group was transported out of the shack and back to Venus' ballroom, safe and sound...mostly.
=====================================================
Mo and Princess Luna have been rescued from the maze! However, due to the effects of a mixture of Erote arrows, they have not only swapped genders, but it seems that they...well, Mo...will be having babies...?!?
HA! This is rich!

The princess turned, glaring at Aquos and turning to slap him, but being unable to as he left. Watching him walk away to the bow, she looked to the erote laying on the ground, and at the torch that remained in her hands. What... What had she done...? What was she going to do now...? How horrible... She was horrible... Violence was never the answer but.. she just couldn't control herself any longer... Nor could she honestly control herself now, she realized, as silent tears started to fall down her cheeks.
No... Stop... A princess mussn't cry... Yet they kept coming as her body lost strength, sliding to the ground once more and the torch being used as a sort of crutch, keeping her head from falling as her cheeks reddened and she bit her lip, trying so hard to stop the waterworks. Several small gasps came as her body shook against the effort of doing to, but even in this moment, she could not just let herself go. She just wanted to be left alone, but the last thing she wanted was to be alone.

This was certainly beyond strange. The momentary relief at being free from the maze was long gone, replaced by the confusion at what new trick they'd have to deal with this time. Animated toys and garden items? Not something he would have expected.
"Not exactly the type of garden I'd like to visit," Lugh murmured, looking around. "Though I suppose it's better than the one we saw earlier...if only slightly." What sort of place was this, littered with a collection of garden decor and children's toys? He just caught a flicker of movement from the treehouse as he turned his head, and frowned staring and waiting for it to happen again. "I'm not sure...I thought I saw...something," he answered, then noticed his companion moving forward. He made a grab for her arm, filled with unease. "Lillison, wait! I don't like this. There's...something wrong here."

Blushing slightly, though it was hard to tell against her natural coloring, Moana chuckled, looking down and tucking a bit of hair behind her earfin. "Thank you." She took his hand, squeezing it lightly for reassurance. They were back. They were safe. And though she would likely have nightmares for nights to come, she supposed that all things considered, she could have come out much worse. She'd have an adventure of her own to tell her father about if he came home.
When he came home.
Frowning, she glanced across the room at the floating eggs, puzzled. "What's going on over there?"
-----
Halfway through the platter of shellfish, Kane was in a much pleasanter mood; for as long as that would last. His companion wasn't much help with the mystery of the odd little keys, but hey, he didn't have a lot to go on either. At least his belly wasn't complaining any more.
Now, if only he could do something about this damnable 'meowing' problem.
Well, food helped the brain work better, and he'd heard somewhere that fish was 'brain food', so he'd just have to concentrate on this first, and certainly everything would work out.
Cringing as the crazy lady with rejection issues started shouting edicts through the room again, he hissed and instinctively hunched over to protect his meal. No wait, something else was going on. Strange, ornately decorated eggs, previously displayed on pedestals near Venus' throne, were currently being held in the air and threatened for some inane reason. Kane tilted his head curiously, eyes narrowed. "...mrowr?" He sighed, rolling his eyes, and gestured towards the eggs with his chin questioningly. What the heck were those supposed to be, anyway, and who the hell cared if she dropped them? Be a hell of an omelet potential, if those weren't just decorative.
