She bowed her head a little as he left.

Bernadette went about her business, humming a bit as she did.

After leaving he realized that she hadn't told him the out come of her asking her grandparents if she could stay with him. To him it either meant she hadn't asked, or they had said no... but if they said no he figured she wouldn't have been in such high spirits. He shrugged and headed home to get his hunting gear.

Business was slow and she wasn't sure what to do with herself. So she decided to ask her grandmother again. But all she got was a warning look and again dropped it.

Alex went out hunting, this time making sure to bring a hunting knife with him. When he came back a few hours later he carried a large boar that was tied to a pole on his back to make it easier for him to carry. By the time he got back to the village he was exhausted, but still smiling.

Bernadette was excused and told to invite Alex to dinner. She headed out and poked around the market, buying an apple to munch on.

Alex spotted Bernadette as she bought an apple and called out to her, still carrying the boar on his shoulders. "Hey stranger... fancy meeting you here."

She smiled. "Looks like you've been busy." She quickly walked over to him. "Need some help?"  

[NightWerewolf]

"Biggest catch I've had in some time." He said with a smile as he moved to let her grab part of the pole so she could help carry it. "If you don't mind. Careful, it's a bit heavy."

She slid the apple into a pocket and took the pole. "He's a big one." But she didn't mind the heaviness of the beast.

"Yeah, he put up a bit of a fight too." He said and motioned towards the makeshift bandage he had around his arm. "Guess I have a little bit of a battle wound now." He chuckled.

"You should let me look at that." She was a little concerned. He could have been killed by the boar.  

[NightWerewolf]

"I'm sure it's fine." He said softly then noticed the hint of concern in her voice. "But if you really want to I suppose it couldn't hurt."

She perked up a little. "Oh Bubbee invited you for dinner again." she mentioned before she forgot.  

[NightWerewolf]

"Oh? Any chance she knows how to cook this." He asked. It was a big boar and not many people could handle that, but if she couldn't then he could give it to the butcher for a large sum of money.

"Not in this amount." She smiled. "Where are we taking this thing anyway?"
