*Hears the knock on her door and knows it's Ayami. She gets up, goes over to the door and answers it. She tries her best to grin at Ayami, but she's not quite as enthusiastic as she typically is. She lets Ayami in and closes the door behind her. She leads Ayami to the kitchen, fills her cup of coffee again and gets one for Ayami. She then takes Ayami to her living room and has a seat in one of the leather sofas and motions for Ayami to sit and make herself comfortable.* Ayami…I am in need of some wisdom. neutral Some practical sound wisdom that could change the course of my entire life. sweatdrop

*She completely confides in Ayami this whole sorted mess regarding Dame's arrest. She also shares with Ayami about her life growing up; her fathers untimely death to the hands of a Police Officer; how she came to the states and why; her vast career in Big Paulie's service; what she's sacrificed in her life; how much she has come to care for the people here; how much she loves Officer Dougherty; her families view on her relationship with him and their concerns; how tormented she is right now regarding the happenings here lately and how new "feeling" is to her; the details of what happened yesterday with Dame coming here, TES kidnapping her, Ryzan getting hurt, and Officer Dougherty doing his duty.
She then tells Ayami about the possible options she has contemplated.* And so…what I need is some consultation and I'd like some objective wisdom if you have any. *She sips her latte as she waits for Ayami to process all she has told her.* neutral

I know you care for your MW ladies - they are your symbolic daughters...
but just like daughters you need to let them get into their own trouble and be there to bail them out when they come crying to you.
However - sir officer is not the father of your "daughter" 
There exists to piece of symbolism here...
If he is to be here - off duty - then he must behave as such...
No chasing criminals around the establishment off the clock - especially when they happen to be one of your kin...
For example - under normal circumstances Leko would have taken it upon herself to cruelly torture said officer for the disrespect he paid to your Dame last night - however she refrained out of respect for you....
Do not grow cold - instead grow strong.
Force others to see your transformation and make them respect it just as they would if you were still holding that gun barrel to their throat...
this is the true option you seek

She woke up that morning with one thing on her mind...finding Kaoru. For some reason, she felt that he would know if L had done anything about this current charge that had popped up on dame's record. He had been pretty high up in L's organization, so hopefully, he would have some pertinent information.
She spent the morning trying to contact some people that might have seen him lately. The ones she got in touch with told her they would see what they could find out and get back with within 48 hours.
Checking her messages again, and seeing nothing from Dec, she starts to worry somewhat. He apparently brought dame here yesterday, but what happened afterwards? Where were they now?
She sits at her computer, sipping her pecan coffee and debating on whether or not to go upstairs or go see if Psy is in her quarters.

*She listens to what Ayami has to say, sips her latte and thinks about this long and very carefully. She takes a deep breath in and exhales slowly. She finds Ayami's point of view very interesting.*
And how does a cop separate "off duty" and "on duty"? This is his home and for the most part, at least what I've seen anyway, he has made an effort to separate the two. He does not tell me how to run my business or my affairs.
How do I talk to him about how this has upset me Ayami? neutral

Deciding to go check and see if Psy was in her quarters before going upstairs, she grabs her keys and phone and heads out the door to the corridor. After locking her door, she walks the short distance to Psy's red doors and knocks on them a few times.

My point is this - did he come here to find Dame that night?
My understanding was that he saw her with you and decided it was time to bring her back in. He was not aware at the time that she had been released.... it seems he jumped into cop mode immediately. Perhaps the correct thing to do would have been to call the situation in to a officer on duty at the time. But you must understand I have given no room for ethics in this reply, I speak very logically with no room for "exceptions" to rules. There was no separation that night he run a door into dear Vixtul's face....  I'm not excusing the actions of the others but this is being looked at in terms of the symbolic nature of this place.
To speak to him you must be warm yet cold.
You must be kind yet cutting.
Your words and actions must both sooth and manipulate.

She opens the door further and invites her in, closing the door after she has entered.* Ayami and I are in the living room. She smiles at Psy and declines the offer of coffee.
"No, thanks....I've had enough coffee already. Hello there, Ayami."
She takes a seat and looks at Psy.
"I hate to do this, but I need to talk to you about yesterday. I was out for the afternoon, and came back last night to find Ryzan in the bar with a busted nose. I heard dame was here, but now she's nowhere to be found. Ryzan has no idea of where TES is.....and this whole situation is just wonky. When I was going to visit dame yesterday, I was told she was released into the custody of her husband....she's not married from what I know."
She sits back and crosses her legs.
"And I find it a bit too coincidental that all of a sudden she loses her teaching job and then a few days later she's arrested. This smells like something L would do just to prove she can still put the screws to dame to manipulate her. Only problem is....I can't prove it........yet."

*She wearily looks at Katana and sips her coffee.* Dame was here yesterday. She apparently made bail and was released to a family member, which I guess is Dec. But she didn't see a lawyer or get interviewed by the arresting officers before being released.
I was talking to her at my front door and she was crying. I was hugging her and trying to talk to her about seeing an attorney immediately and how serious this whole mess could be. Then William showed up here, probably to check on me since I was so upset down at the police station and he saw Dame with me. She freaked out and he was trying to talk her into going back down to the Police Station with him, then out of nowhere TES grabbed Dame. stressed TES fled into his quarters and William ended up busting the door down to go after them. The door hit Ryzan and… *She starts to get upset and starts to cry all over again.* cry
