Shandor lives up to his namesake. Everything that passes from his mouth has a multitude of layers to it. The direct meaning is always seemingly simple, but there are always other messages hidden within. He speaks in riddles and vivid imagery and it seems that he isn't entirely keen on ever giving a straight answer. He encourages those around him to learn his speech pattern so that the Wind Tribe can create their own language within themselves to protect them and to strengthen their culture. The groundlings, he sees, as being entirely too simple. They speak simply, live simply, think simply, and simply just exist.
The Wind Tribe is and always will be his pride and joy. He lives for every feather and fur that's woven under his watch and guards them jealously. He does, however, have a darker more menacing side. There is no forgiveness for traitors to his tribe as they have wounded his family. He can be wrathful as a gale and cold as ice if the security of his tribe is ever put into question. Those he drives away had best stay away if they value their lives.
Among his tribe he may be come to be seen as a father or a brother. Loving but firm, kind but terribly dangerous.
