She returns dame's hug before getting up. She heads to the espresso machine and starts making a cafe' mocha with an extra shot of espresso.

"I'm good....needed a caffeine shot before I go out back to finish decorating for the party."

She tops her drink with some whipped cream and chocolate syrup as well, and returns to her seat.

"Wanna help me do the finishing touches? wink "

"Great! The crew already put up the tiki torches, so all we really have to do is decorate with the beach towels and put the decorations on the tables. I found some sea shell candle holders, and I have a LOT of bright beach towels."

She gets up and her and dame head toward her quarters to pick up the decorations.

She smiles at dame as they enter her quarters.

"Actually, I have thought about it, but I don't think I could keep my opinions to myself if I had to plan a party for some bridezilla type control freak. I like having the freedom to do what I want. So, I'm perfectly content doing the parties for MW."

She points at the numerous bags in the living room and starts picking several of them up.

"We'll go out the back way and around back....I hope everyone likes the surf/wave pool.... sweatdrop "

She opens her back door and goes through, leaning against it to keep it open for dame.

"No, I have another band for tonight. I haven't seen Dec since we got back from New Orleans last weekend. He said he was going to be busy, so I guess I'll see him sooner or later."

The two of them head around to the back of MW to where the party will be held.

She gives dame a grin and closes the door.

"Yup, I do....not a big deal though...."

They make their way around to the back of the bar and the area is fenced off with a simple split rail fence. Directly in front of them is a wave/surf pool surrounded by sand. She looks over at dame and laughs.

"I'll have to let Psy know that it was only ten tons of sand and not twenty. wink "

Off to the left of the wave/surf pool is a sand volleyball court, along with several palapas for people to lounge under to get away from the sun. To the right of the pool is the palapa bar and the area where the caterer will be set up. The bandstand is set up near the pool, so that people can hear the music while they swim.

Scattered around are several chaise lounge chairs, and she and dame get busy putting towels on the chairs. Next they move to the tables and the bar, putting out the candleholders.

She laughs at dame's reaction.

"You don't think it's too much, do you? I sometimes have a tendency to go a bit overboard. wink "

As she is finishing up in the bar area, the caterer and his crew arrive. One of the young men comes over and introduces himself as Scott and informs her that he'll be bartending for the party. She looks him over, and sees that he is appropriately dressed in bright shorts and a tank top, showing off his arms very nicely. His blond hair is shaggy, and he has the "beach bum" look about him that will definitely appeal to the ladies.

Rolling her eyes at dame's flirting with Scott, she looks over at her.

"Well, the caterer is doing simple food for tonight...hamburgers, hot dogs and the like. Even have some veggie burgers for our non-meat eaters. There's plenty of snacks and sweets too, and the bar will have plenty of non-alcoholic offerings too."

She looks over at the pool, and gives dame a grin.

"What do you say we go break in that surf pool? There's plenty of boards up there."

She laughs, "Well, it's not too hard, we can just lay down on the boards if you don't want to try standing on them."

She leads dame over to where the boards are and they make their way up to the top of the surf pool. She explains to dame where to hang on to the board and how to maneuver from side to side. With a whoop, Kat lays down on her board and hits the surf, successfully boarding for about a minute before wiping out.

Coming up with a sputter, she laughs up at dame and shouts to her.

"OK, your turn! blaugh "
