Let the Memories of the Evening be...

Tanaka Michi
Physical Therapist

Fingertips...walking up your spine...a tongue sliding right behind..

Michi looked up as Akihiko waived the waiter over and Michi spoke slowly and managed to make the order also pointing at his own beer to make sure what he said was perfectly clear. The waiter smiled and walked off then came back minutes later with a mug filled with frothy beer plus an extra pitcher of beer along with it.

But in the mean time, Michi was watching Akihiko while he was also eating his ribs. "Mmm...Yokatta. Spicy and cold. Mmm...maybe I'll get that next time." he said right after he swallowed. "We're going to have...Leftovers. I think. I saw some people earlier leave with their extra food in a box. So I bet we can do the same." he smiled actually more than happy that Akihiko was interested in food...and Beer again. It was like life had returned to the star in ways Michi had been waiting a long time for.

"It's so good to see you enjoying food again." he laughed and looked at the pitcher of beer. "I think that's...a lot of beer." He polished off his mug then refilled. "Yes, I have to admit the food here could keep me coming back."

Leaning back, Michi's eyes watched the football game for awhile, "If we ever go to the mainland USA, I want to see a football game. It looks like it would be lots of fun."

"Good? Well, I suppose I am, yeah. Just...glad to see you, I guess." Nezumi chirped as he shut the door behind himself.

In the elevator, he relaxed against the back wall as they descended slowly.

"Actually, yes. I got quite a bit done today. Put all of Narcissus' appointments on hold with rescheduling pending. Spoke with the secretary as well, got the gist of the fan mail status. I managed to get back with Narcissus on the current standing of things, and I delivered my critique of what songs he's gotten down since he started writing and recording here. He....um....I suppose...I think he's...he's doing all right. Took everything pretty well. I...believe he's healing up quite nicely, as well. Seemed in...better spirits."
While the manager didn't mention any of the misconduct from earlier on Narcissus' part, it was obvious there at the end that there was something the mouse was uncomfortable with.

Nodding that he understood what Hiroki said about the chairman possibly joining them, Nezumi was somewhat surprised at how close the secretary moved to him as the elevator opened and let on a family. Sure, they had to make room...but he knew Hiroki could have shifted a different way if he wanted to. did the man want to be close to him?

Blushing furiously, Nezumi looked away, silent as a mouse as the elevator started down again.

Asato Hiroki
Chairman's Secretary - Ohayou Productions

Doing what one does best...??

The elephant nods and listened intently as Nezumi filled him in on his day. Seemed normal enough except for the hesitations at the end. Obviously, Nezumi didn't want to talk about the issue. And hopefully, it was an issue that Narcissus would never broach again. or next time...No wait there wouldn't be a 'next time. Because Hiroki would be dragging him down to the police station himself if he ever caught the star doing it again. The elephant had his limits and Narcissus had done a fine job at pushing him right to the edge of them.

"Ah so how was his music? Is it coming along well? I'm glad to hear he is healing up because Narcissus is very behind. Although I can't blame that on the management." he said as he moved over when the others got on to the elevator. He smiled when the mouse turned his head away with that blush. Another adorable feature. But at least the cuteness didn't get in the way of work. He let his leg rub right along Nezumi's without being too forward. The squeeze of everyone on to the elevator made things a bit more fun for Hiroki because he could tease without obviously teasing.

So as the elevator landed at the Lobby everyone poured out and Hiroki glanced over at Nezumi, "You're choice, the Sports Club bar and grill or the Soup Sandwich Cafe?"

There were choices to be made, but Nezumi knew right away which of the two sounded more to his liking.

"The Soup Sandwich Cafe sounds lovely. I'm sure we can enjoy a nice glass of wine in there with our meal. I bet they have a lovely panini sandwich I would enjoy. Let's give it a try."
That was his reasoning, to Hiroki. Silently, he was also taking into account how a cafe would offer a somewhat more intimate setting. Romantic, even.
A small wave of guilt passed over the manager as he thought how selfish it was to be thinking of such things while they were here, in the midst of a tragedy...but in the end, all he could do was find himself grateful that he was indeed alive to have such aspirations of romance. So many had perished. Perhaps it would only be right to live just a bit more for all those who couldn't anymore.

Starting to walk out of the elevator, Nezumi's foot snagged on the lip between the elevator an the floor, causing him to stumble just a bit. It wasn't a big trip, barely noticeable, really, but it caused the mouse to reach out and grab Hiroki by the hand, leaning on the man's arm as he regained his balance.

"Ah...sorry...I tripped." he blushed, clamming up again as he pulled away as fast as he had stumbled.

Day 11 and 12 were chaotic as they finally arrived on land. Thanks partly because of the older people but mostly because of the US military boat that had been cruising the waters close by. However, being that they had drifted so close to a closed military island, weren't American and 'possible' survivors of the tsunami had left them answering all sort of questions. Also, after eating all those canned good with very poor water quality both men needed a little time in the ships medical ward.

Izzy actually got to sleep in a closer to real bed. It wasn't perfect but it had clean sheets. And finally, he had a real shower to wash off the weeks of salt and sea on his skin. The sailors had given him real soap and military shampoo but Izzy wouldn't complain at all. It was soooo nice to feel the hot water. "Thank you US Navy..." Izzy muttered to himself and leaned into the metal walls of the small shower.

And finally, Izzy was able to make one phone call out from the boat's main communication deck.

Normally, he would have called.....one of his stars. In his heart, he missed...Akihiko...and...Kai. And he did want to let them know he was alive. He wondered if they were worrying about him or...if they had already crossed him off as dead. Well, surely this had allowed him to move on and Narcissus...well Narcissus had moved on before he had left. Maybe they were doing some charity events for Hawaii. That would have made Izzy happy. He wished he could watch some Entertainment News but that was one feature not offered to them on the boat.

But...in their current situation with the military, Izzy knew he'd have to choose a more productive call to his Aunt. It was one important number he could remember that was in the US. And he knew she could get things done state side far easier than his stars.

When she answered the phone, she was thrilled to hear his voice and to be honest, talking to hear made him a bit teary eyed. He was just really tired and glad to finally connect with someone closer to home. She told him about the song he sang of Narcissus being all over the news and that unnerved Izzy slightly. But she praised his signing and asked him pointed questions about Narcissus treatment of him, which he declined to answer but no answer gave her answer enough. She wasn't pleased.

Finally when he got a word in edgewise, he explained his situation and Shou's. Especially Shou's because the man had identity issues and fortunately Izzy had been wise enough to cover part of Shou's face with a torn cloth to make a makeshift mask over the eyes and nose and told everyone that Shou had gotten a very bad sunburn.

From there, his Aunt said she'd take care of everything from the Japanese embassy to Shou's needs and get them collected from the boat as soon as possible. Izzy gave the phone to the ship's captain who spoke with his Aunt for a long time about the situation and a possible photo shoot on the vessel for the newspaper. The captain at least understood some of Shou's issues after talking with Izzy's aunt about the Star's mystery status. Fortunately, Shou had his passport even after all this mess so at least that part did help.

Once Izzy left the room he met up with Shou who was dressed in a sailor's uniform with a guest band on his sleeve. He was playing fooze ball with another sailor. Somehow, the man had snagged make up and Izzy had to guess that it was from the women of the crew. But at least, Shou seemed less shaken as he had in prior days.

"Lucky-san! I'm losing! You have to play for me." hollered Shou as he looked up from the table. He knew Izzy was making their one phone call trying to get them out of custody of the US Navy. He knew he manager had far more skills in this part of the world or he would have called his Hamu instead with that one call.

"No Shou-san I'm terrible a fooze ball!" answered Izzy as he walked up to watch Shou flip the little men around as the other sailor scored. At least, Shou was smiling and that made Izzy smile too. They would be on the mainland of America soon. And that would be very close to home for Izzy Lucky.

Doing what one does best...??

And while they didn't know it. Going to the Soup Sandwich Cafe was probably a better idea in general. They wouldn't spot Michi or Narcissus eating in the other restaurant. "Alright." Hiroki said as he turned to walk with Nezumi to the cafe. Hiroki was actually fairly hungry and hadn't quite thought of the romantic aspect yet of the cafe but even so...it wasn't as romantic as it could be with the number of people dining there.

However, he didn't get to far because he felt the sudden grab of his hand and the grip at his tightened while the other man leaned in as he regained his balance. He held on to that hand until everything was stable. Nice soft skin, he thought to himself and the thumb rubbed the back side of the palm just for a moment. "Are you ok?" he asked immediately and waited for Nez to upright himself before continuing any further. "You're the clumsiest man I know." Hiroki laughed and patted Nez on the back. "Come on. let's see if we can find a seat."

Within about 15 minutes they finally got a small table for 3 just in case Koyasu-sama decided to join them. Hiroki plucked up a menu and looked at the selection. It took him a little time to read the menu even though his written English wasn't bad at all. "Mmm...Looks like they have several panini sandwiches. But I think, I want the French dip on a baguette and a bowl of Boston Clam Chowder with the side of Mango Salad. What looks good to you?"

"Yes, I'm quite fine." the mouse responded, straightening his shirt as he walked along.
Hiroki was right, though. He was clumsy. At least....lately. Something about recent events...he'd been terribly clumsy since...since he started hanging out with Hiroki, really.

"Hmm....the Cuban panini with the mixed berry and spinach salad and a cup of broccoli and cheddar soup sound about right to me." the mouse peeped as he peeked over the top of the menu at his dinner companion.

The cafe was a bit busy, but their table was in a nice little nook off to the side, so it was still a decent atmosphere, for what it was.
Putting the menu down, Nezumi sat there and gazed at the secretary. His eyes looked like he had something to say, but the way he held himself said he wouldn't be speaking about whatever it was.

Turning his head slightly, one amber eye peeked out from that blond tuft of hidden hair. "Getting me drunk is horrible, you know. Totally goes against my personality!" he couldn't help but giggle a bit. "Mmmmm.... don't ask me if I'm thirsty... I'll only want more alcohol."
Smirking, Naoko suddenly turned his body, now looking up at Hayato completely from his back. "Anything? You can't give me anything, baaaaaaaaaka." his smirk turned slightly sad.
"Oh god, get me more drunk before I start going all crying-y on you."
What did Oumori want more than anything?
Well, it wasn't something Jun could give.
No one could give that to him...
Unless they were a god...

He understood what Naoko wanted as soon as the blond commented on his offer. For whatever reason...he felt...oddly sad. The hell should he feel bad for, though? How stupid.

Getting up from the bed, the dark star padded to his kitchen and came back with a few bottles of beer in a container of ice. Opening one, he handed it to Oumori and sat back down on the bed.

"You know what I meant, Naoko. I'll give you anything I can."
His words sounded sad and lost, but Jun ignored it. He was supposed to be sad and lost, right? Right...
Hell...it would probably actually work in his favor if....

Putting his head in his hands, Jun began to cry. Crocodile tears, of course...but the tears were real enough as they slid down his cheeks. He remembered how he used to fake crying all the time for Hayato. Sometimes Hayato would leave him alone if he just cried enough, even when he hadn't been given a reason to cry. Sometimes...Hayato had been merciful.
Sometimes....his brother had shown an inkling of sanity.
Sometimes...

Jun didn't say a word, but his actions said enough. He was "mourning" the loss of Shou, of Naoko's brother. At least...in his actions.

Sitting up cross-legged on the bed, Naoko took the offered beer and sipped it.
"Yeah... I know..." he replied with a half smile.
Until Hayato started crying.
Putting the beer down on the bedside table, Oumori crawled over and took Jun's hands, pulling them away from the man's face. He then placed on hand on each cheek and tilted Hayato's head up, pressing his own forehead against that of the dark haired vocalist.
"Didn't mean to make you cry..." Naoko whispered, obviously drunk, though his voice had a very very cute tone to it. "I can't cry... told Ryu-kun I didn't have any more tears left. Don't think I do." he spoke, that sad half-smile returning. "You'll make me cry if you keep crying, Jun...."
The pianist was practically in Hayato's lap, hands still on the man's cheeks.

Smiling slightly, Akihiko nodded. "It's good to be hungry again. I remember feeling so damn hungry but every time I looked at food or thought about it, just felt sick. It was horrible." the musician replied, taking another bite of his burger.
Putting the giant hamburger down, he reached for the freshly poured beer and took a drink.
It wasn't as good as Japanese beer, but it would do.
"I remember just wanting to drink and drink and drink, didn't matter what it was, but I always felt thirsty." he added, thinking about it for a moment. "It was like... what I drank was food enough, which is ridiculous, I know. Looking in the mirror I can tell I lost a lot of weight too. I wonder if my fans would notice... speaking of which, I really do need to schedule a press conference to speak out about my new album release..."
As Narcissus ate an onion ring, which reminded him a lot of tempura vegetables, his blue gaze found the tv screen and watched as well.
"I don't understand the draw there." he said, meaning that he didn't get the pull of football.
It just didn't seem interesting to him...

Thank you for the offer, but I'm actually at dinner with the Consul General here in Hawaii, Yoshihiko Kamo. Michi-kun is at dinner with us as well. I do hope you and Nezumi-san enjoy your dinner.

"Gomen...I...I just can't....can't help it...." Jun sputtered. Somehow, he almost felt out of control, like the tears were coming from somewhere...deeper within him. It was unnerving, but feeling the smaller man touch him, it stirred something in him.
So many memories...so many times Naoko had smiled at him, before he had started to torture the poor pianist out of his own ideas of love and pleasure.

How had Naoko come to be so beautiful, even after all he had done to the man? Was part of it because of what he had done? There was a definite difference in the blond, but somehow he seemed even more precious now than he had before.
Perhaps his older brother had been right...pain and suffering brought about the highest beauty there was to behold.

"Oh...Naoko..." Jun gasped and wrapped his arms tight around the pianist's lithe body, burying his face against the smaller man's neck as he held his ex-lover on his lap.

What was Naoko to him now? What would he be? Could they really have a future together?
Yes....they had to. Naoko belonged to him, after all. He had to regain control.
He knew that better now than he ever had before.

For a split second, Naoko's entire body froze. Hayato was hugging him, and even drunk he knew that might be dangerous.
But then the drink won over and the lithe blond wrapped his arms around the other man. "Come on, Jun... lets get so wasted that we completely forget, ne? I'd like that... wouldn't you? I want to forget what happened... I just want it all to go away... Everything..." he couldn't help but close his eyes in the other man's seemingly desperate embrace. "Lets forget... onegai..."

"Forget? Yes..let's forget....about everything." the vocalist agreed. Of course, he knew that Naoko was already piss-drunk. It wouldn't take too terribly much more for him to forget. While he got a good buzz going, he knew he could easily get the pianist to the point that he just...didn't care anymore.

Opening up a beer, Hayato lifted it in the air with a weak smile.

"Here's to forgetting." he toasted, and chugged down the whole bottle, encouraging Naoko to do the same.

"Sound like a good choice." he said as the waiter approached and Hiroki placed the order then let Nez give his. Once the waiter was gone. Hiroki sipped on his ice water while watching Nezumi watch him.

"You seem curious about something. Do you have a question?" he asked as he set down the glass then felt the buzz of his phone.

Pullling it out, he looked at the text. "Ah...it appears that we are eating along tonight. The Chairman is networking with the Consul General over dinner. "

Nezumi ordered and got himself a glass of Sangria to go along with his meal.
He couldn't help but smile when Hiroki asked him that question.

Sure, there were lots of things he would like to ask the secretary.
Do you have an interest in me? Do you know that I'm interested in you? Are you even interested in men? Did you know I was fantasizing about kissing you right now?
Just to name a few.

"No, sir. There's nothing I need to ask." he replied pleasantly, nodding at the server as his wine was brought.

"Do I really seem so...inquisitive? I was just thinking. About work." he excused his behavior easily.
He was, in a way, thinking about work. Or, at least, someone he worked with.
