Rumors and Plants (NightWerewolf here)

Eva suddenly woke up as a question popped in her mind. "Hey Alex." She said in almost a whisper. "Do you think your parents liked me? I hated them to see me fight with my brothers and get completely embarrassed in front of mine parents."

Alex nodded. "I'm sure they did. They just tend to be a bit quiet." He said quietly stroking her hair with one hand and hugging her with the other.

Eva smiled. "That's good. And I know you made a good impression on my folks. But, ugh, did you hear was my mother was humming? Goodness, she really must like you."

Alex chuckled. "I tried. And yeah I heard her. Maybe someday she won't have to hum it, but I don't think that's gonna happen this soon."

Eva smiled. "Maybe." She said and then squished her eyes. "But it was so embarrassing." She chuckled. "And you know what, until then, she will hum it every time she gets in the car and I'm around." Eva paused. "I think she just really wants grandchildren to spoil. I think that's why she does it."

Alex smiled and turned her around gently so they were facing each other. "I think we'll live." He teased her. "And who knows, maybe someday she will have grandchildren to spoil."

Eva rested her arms on his sides and smiled at him. "Maybe." Though, that thought was wanted more than ever for her now than ever before. Never in her life, had she felt the way she did with Alex. Eva moved some of his hair out of his face. His soft smile made her feel at home and safe. It made her heart flutter.
I wonder if this is what mom and dad feel like when they look at each other. She thought.

Alex smiled a bit more. "Maybe." He repeated what she had said. If he was going to have any children, he wanted them to be with her. "You know, I noticed how you were with that boy in the store yesterday. I think you would make a great mother."

Eva smiled. "Thanks. I had practice with my brothers. And by the way you protected me, I'd say you'd be a really good dad. Especially, if you had a daughter." Eva suddenly thought of the little that popped in her head the other day. As she looked in his eyes, she could see that same little girl. She smiled at the thought.

"She'd be daddy's little girl." Alex smiled. "But why does it matter if it's a girl?" He asked a little confused.

"Because." Eva said. "Dad's seem more protective when they have a little girl. Trust me I would know. It's weird how it works out that way."

Alex nodded. "I guess you're right." He chuckled a bit. "So, if we were to have children... when do you think would be a good time to try?"

Eva laughed. "After you put a ring on my finger and meet me at the other end of the wedding aisle." Eva wanted him more than anything in the world. She was all he could ever want and more. In the back of her mind, she just hoped that he wouldn't turn out to be Mike but she highly doubted that.

Alex laughed with her. "Like on our honeymoon then?" He asked with a smile.

"Well, that's when you normally make a baby." She shrugged. "It's only common knowledge."
