*jumps in happily* my poem unforgiven was acepted into the semi finals of a nation wide open poetry contest! yay i could win between $1,000-$10,000...wich is cool but i probly wont win but its still cool! smile
i thought it was the end when that poem was given editors choice but i guess not hehe

Summer, it was supposed to be you and me,
now I guess its something we'll never see.
Summer, it was supposed to be riding our bikes, and hanging out at the park,
staying up all day, until it got dark.
Summer, there was so much we could do, just the two of us; me and you.
Summer, it'll never be what I guessed,
if we wind up somehow, for that I'll be blessed

Although it is just not that easy

Damn it!
Yeah, I'm starting this poem with a curse
Don't over-react, it could be worse
I could have started with the stereotypically loneliness
The feeling that no one cares, tear-filled eyes out of focus
Could have started with a beaten girl
Described her soulless eyes and golden curls
Said that she hated boys, hated her parents, hated the mean people at Micky D's
Told of her trails, teasing, crying, being out of whip cream
That she hated herself so much she took out a knife
No- not to slice vegetables- but to end her life
I could have talked about her loving heart
Or her horrible up bringing, or her rocky start
But I could have also started in a dark alley
Told about a blood soaked rally
Reminisced about vampires and their ability to bite
Good God, that would surely cause you a fright!
Perhaps I could say that love really sucks
But I don't care, your sugar outta luck
I could have told you how she put the gun to her head
Oops she pulled the trigger, now she's dead
It amuses me when poets just kill everyone off
Guess they had nothing better to do *cough*cough
Too many suicidal poems and kids shooting to kill
Lets go for the good stuff, straight to the thrill
Lets talk about nature- oh how fun!
Or how a madman chased me during a morning run
Lets add some undying devotion, throw in some tears
Holy crap, this poem could go on for years!
I could add a character that we all hate
And then kill them off in some horrible fate
Hmm, vampires, werewolves, death, tears and ghost
This will surely be on highest rated, lets give a toast!
But no, I won't be like all the rest
Can't take anymore unoriginal poems, I gotta confess
Tired of reading the same damn thing
Tired of suicide ad jealousy's sting
Go to the most popular, the 'best'
But they are all like the rest!
Lets get some new ideas flowing
Instead of the same claptrap blowing
I'm not going to tirade about how boys are hosers
Don't want to be another predictable poser
Okay, its over, rant done
Hopefully a new era of poems has just begun

ok I finished this one, its more of a really LONG poem then anything..
