I like their old music but, my favorite album is their new one. ^^

I also would like to say that people do change, they can't stay the same forever. D:

idc wat any of u say MCR rocks
i'll admit the black parade wasnt as good as 3 cheers for sweet revenge but that doesnt matter they still rock

Go to hell

That's a bit unnecessary.

Anyway, MCR were good on the first album, no the first album was not 3 cheers.
The original drummer was better than the one now even if he was an a**.
Ummm.....the old drummer(Matt) wasn't near as good as the new drummer (Bob).
Matt was drunk all the time and wasn't playing well.
The first album was great though. It is one of the Best albums along Three Cheers.Bob isn't drunk all the time and he play awesomely.

MCR lyrics: b***h b***h, moan moan, cry cry, lament lament, b***h b***h, oh they look a bit angry (because Teenagers isn't about bitching).

Anyone can write lyrics like that. For example, take the song Not Ok, if you put the lyrics into a personal context, you suddenly get something akin to Jeremy by Pearl Jam (much superior song and band) which is also much more emotional and meaningful for being personal.

The problem I hate nowadays about the MCR debate is that people say the big SELLOUT word and everyone agrees.

What I believe is retarded is that everyone thinks that a band should stick to the same concept/principle/style, like the same crappy axe that the guitarist played at his first gig; that the band can't have grand dreams and try to prove that they have an imagination; that TAKING A BIG STEP FORWARD is the best thing that a band can do.

Sure, there was a danger that they would completly lose everyone to this dream that came true to them, but they had the balls to do it, even when their producers were actually scared for the band even up to the point of releasing the first gig of the balck parade.

Someone is going to yell at me for this, but look at paramore. They have released a new album, but what I've found (and in many music reviews, repeated) is that Riot! is a near-clone of their debut. This is dangerous, music wise as you could have monotony in your shows if the third album doesn't budge up.

Oh, and Bullets, old-MCR-school, is still ******** awesome. Reminds me of my sixteenth summer.

Well as soon as you sign with a big label, your a sell out, I mean even when RatM signed big and donated most of their funds to good causes, they still got called sell out, but at the end of the day, you have to do what you have to do to get your music heard by as many people as possible.

I think people assume that when you sign with a big label, all creative control then resides with the execs. which hasn't been true since rock first went hard and heavy in the 60's. By the way, I agree with your point about Paramore, if the album sounds the same as the rest, then it is dangerous for such a young band, it works for maiden and ozzy, because they are institutions, what they do is so perfected they can get away with it, where as Paramore are still young and still fairly unknown outside of the Misery Business single, they are playing a very dangerous game indeed. :S

Yeah I think they're OK. I liked that song Teenagers. I went to the Black Parade concert in Portland, OR. One of my friends invited me, and it's so funny, because around people at school he says they suck but you should have seen him at that concert, jumping out of his seat and yelling himself hoarse. The band that opened for them was good. They're called The Bled. I don't know to tell the truth i never even heard of MCR until the Black Parade came out, and I listened to some of their old stuff and I agree that they've lost some of their talent. Anyway what about The Bled? anyone heard of them?
...probably...just thought I'd ask anyway...

Well MCR has some good songs that I completely adore. But there are some I wish they would never had made like the song "Welcome To The Black Parade" it is a really overplayed song. There old album is one of there best ones. see i'm not a huge fan cause I can't even name there old album I can only name the songs sweatdrop . But there new cd Black Parade has some good songs like: "Teenager", "Dead", "Mama". But there new look I do like.
