In my experience, bipolar people and manic-depressives aren't really SURE if they have it or not, even if a psychologist tells them they do. Which worries me, because I'm not sure if I'm just experiencing stimulant-induced moodswings (caffeine intoxication exhibits the same symptoms as bipolar disorder) or if I could have those afflictions. I dunno. I don't care what's mentally wrong with me.
