.Mikemo Cat-Boy
Wow, when I heard about what happened I was all "OMFG"...
No joke...
I was so into it, watching about it on the news and reading in the paper...
Yet another shooting incident in a school...
And one even more tragic...
But what hit me the hardest was not just the fact that the shooter was Asian...
But what it made other people think...

Me and my friends were eating at a restaurant...
And there were a group of people there that were my age and not Asian...
From what I heard, they were talking about what had happened...
But what hit me so hard was what they said in their conversation...
"Are all Asians really as disturbed like that shooter guy?"...
Me and my friends were just shocked when we heard that...
I'm just afraid that since the killer was Asian...
People will start being influenced into thinking that all Asians are like him...
That all Asians are disturbed, troubled, and will become killers...

Another thing that really offended me was what I heard on the news...
They said that Cho was...disturbed and troubled...
*Cough*Sorry for over-using those terms...
And that it was evident through his writings and the way he acted...
They said that his stories and other writings were disturbing and messed up...

What offended me about that is the fact that my stories are most likely "disturbing" for other people...
Just because I enjoy writing about certain things, do I need councelling?...
My friends write stories just like me...
Lots of times teachers had to talk to me about my writing and poetry...
Will I be surveillanced closer than others because of that?...
Will I be forced into councelling?...
Will I be accused of wanting to do what Cho did?...
Or worse yet, will many other people like me be penalized?...

It just angers me that people are or might be taking all of this wrong...
That people will think wrongly about Asians just because of one person...
Asians already have hundreds of stereotypes...
Being though of as disturbed, suicidal killers shouldn't be added to that list...

*Cough*Sorry, I just really needed to speak my mind here...
If I accidentally offended someone please inform me...
I have no intention of causing a civil war >.<...

calm down! o_O;;
well...noooooooo. you will not be coucnelled/penalized/whatever, because you are not a complete loner and anti-social hermit kid like Cho.

realize that Cho NEVER uttered a single word during his time there at the university. And the only time he ever did was to his English teacher when they had to do this one-on-one tutor together, because the teacher was having a hard time making Cho speak up.

He wore sunglasses, a hat, and whispered to her the answers in less than 20 seconds when asked about some questions. Then he took pictures of her on his cell phone...o___O;;

Note that he didn't even bother to join the Korean club or even go to counceling, or to speak to any other student on campus for that matter.

He's like a social outcast, which I think is sad.
Outside he is just too quiet...but on the inside of his mind...maniacal works are going on, and something from his past is making him do those things.

Thus the metaphorical evidence on this play writings. Cho's dad must have probably molested him when he was younger, and Cho must have had a bad experience during high school with his abusive teacher.

I just finished watching the news coverage. This whole thing is horrible. I can't believe that this happened. And what makes it all worse is that an Asian caused this. I don't understand what could have made him kill all those people.

He planned this. How do you go about planning to kill people? He just didn't want to hurt himself, he wanted to hurt others.

Plus, one of the victims has my exact first and last name. It's kind of eerie, I feel connected to him somehow.

i was wondering ..
Why did he shoot himself after he killed so many people?? Did he regret all that shooting and decided to kill himself too??

Maybe so that he wouldn't go to prison? confused

Or maybe he too wanted to end his life.

Kill the lives of people he hates, and then end his own miserable life.

I feel sorry of social outcasts like these. D;
He seemed so troubled, but kept is so quiet and just to himself.

I can't believe that a single guy killed so many innocent people. He appeared in so many newlines in Korea already. They were all about what could have driven him to do that crime. In one news, they said that it was because of his ex-girlfriend and he was going to get her or something, then he saw her present boyfriend and I don't know what happened next. *sigh* I hope that everybody would recover from this incident.
Oh yeah, and he was pretty much disturbed as seen by his writings. Really creeped me out. My mom and I talked about it and we think that his parents are the cause of his personality. I mean, where are his parents? Did they flee? Either way, my mom and I think that the parents probably abused him or something and made him be an introvert. Because in the news, Cho Seung Hui's former neighbor in Korea said that his family had a hard time living in Korea so they moved to the States. So we think that the dad or the mom probably beat him or something since they would have been stressed from striving to live. There are a lot of those parent-beating-children cases in Korea.

Personally, he didn't do it to "make anyone look bad" (response to a lot of the people saying he has given such a bad rep for Asians) and nobody knows what really went on inside his head. Maybe he was "depressed", maybe he was "crazzzzy" or maybe he was just some poor "lost soul" who gave up.

But in the end, he took lives and then took his own.
Death has become such an ugly end...

Hopefully all quiet, supposedly "nerdy" Asians won't be singled out in schools.

That has happened at my school too. Well I haven't been teased, but some of the guys were going around and when they saw and Asian they said "AH! He/she is gonna kill us all!"

Why would an asian do such thing. The killing sprees are over in asia. I heard a 76 year old died trying to protect the students. It's terrible. It's making asians look bad and why would you kill innocent people if your just going to commit suicide? Use your brain if you hate life then be a emo person and hate life but don't kill people to relive your pain. domokun
