I agree with a lot of this.. Should have respect!.. To Go damaging, Not only gravestones, but any property is pretty immature. (I not going to comment about all the things that i think are wrong, because It would just too long)..
as for the things that aren't so bad, I Love taking pictures of graveyards/stones/so on.. I Wanted to be a photographer actually. I also like having my picture taking in graveyards.. (because I think some of the stones and the carvings and stuff are nice).. I have a picture of me sitting in front of someones gravestone between two crosses.. I didn't sit on the actual grave though!..
but anyways, those are just a few thoughts!

welcometomyhell wickedncontagious and besides their dead, is she was hot n not cutt up id ******** ...... So based on the physical beauty of the person you were with, you would disrupt the sanctity of a graveyard for basically a fling? That's stupefying shallow.
Unless you're implying that you're a necrophiliac. If that's the case, you need mental help. shallow dont do it just dudes like you sicken me, people like you have no honor, or pride. It just plain sick!

A couple of years ago, some gang members shot up one of the statues in a local cemetary. The statue was of a little boy who died at a young age a few years ago. It was a very pretty statue, and I hate that they totally destroyed it for their own amusement. I think that doing something like that is one of the worst things you could do to a disrespect the dead, as well as the living relatives.

Veruniel I don't know why I even go into the GD. Someone posted about how fun it was to have sex in a graveyard. I can barely describe how irritated this sort of thing makes me. Graveyards are memorials with a lot of emotion invested in them, they're usually considered sanctified in some way, and they're not the sort of place to d**k around. I'm not saying visitors should keep their heads bowed and never ever smile. But I get pissed about people -using sarcophagi as benches -leaving their rubbish behind -'humping' obelisks -breaking headstones -stealing bits of broken headstone -getting drunk -making out There are some weird things I think are totally acceptable, though... such as -studying -singing to yourself -taking photos -taking gravestone rubbings I'm interested to see what other people think of as acceptable graveyard behavior. Share your thoughts, oh GGG! I am 100% with you there. I don't have much to add because you pretty much said everything I was going to say.
I will add though, that the person who wrote that was probably lying, or at least I hope they were. Everything in GD is usually a load of s**t. I go to the Fashion and Games forum, that's about it.

Singing in graveyards... there's no way it can't be fun. I remember last time I was in a graveyard with a group of people... I think we went through every song we knew... it was awesome. "My Immortal" was a little cliche, but we had great harmony. At least it was more respectful than "The Internet is for Porn". *sweat*

I live on indian burial grounds. So there's graveyards here and there all over the place of our 'forefathers'. Some are way back in the cold war. But I don't go to graveyards that often. If I lived next to one. I'd definately go there all the time just to meditate, study, ect. I don't see anything wrong with kissing (so long as you were on a bench and not rolling around on the graves) but having sex? COME-ON! that's definate no-no

i thinik that is very sweet, for being a graveyard story. It is great to know these things, cause it makes you think of what will happen after I am put to rest. And I would most definately NOT want someone consumating above MY grave. Hells No. DreamerSpirit I hate how some people are so disrespectful to the dead. I go to some of my city's cemetaries at least once per week, as they are wonderful places to walk, read, and contemplate life. They're so peaceful! However, it deeply saddens me when I see smashed or toppled tombstones... it's highly disrespectful, not to mention it is a completely pointless act. I'm very good when it comes to cemetaries. During the spring and summer months, I'll pick flowers from my yard, and bring them to the cemetary with me, so I can lay them on peoples graves. I also have one girl in a nearby cemetary whom I have grown especially fond of. Her name is Mary, and she died at age three in 1795 (I may have the year a tad off...). I'll sometimes buy or make little toys, and leave them for her. Oddly enough, somone else dhas taken up the habit of doing this for her as well, which is really nice. Little Mary, despite being laied to rest over two hundred years ago, still has friends on this earth. heart

truth be told, the dead don't care that much, because they're already gone to the other side, and they've probably reincarnated by this point as well.
i love graveyards myself. defacing graves and the like i find to be quite offensive. my spiritual beliefs compel me to respect the dead, regardless or thought or deed. i've sat on sarcophogus style gravestones a couple times, usually feeling a sort of astral 'poke-in-the-a**' to move or a tap on my shoulder or something. regardless, if you're to take photos and stuff like that, ask permission first. say something like "i mean no disrespect, but you have a beautiful gravestone" and then take a photo.

I personally can't handle myself well in graveyards, so I don't understand HOW people can do such disrespectful things in one.
Cemeteries are for remembering the dead, not entertaining yourself.

Rellik Chan Pretty much with you on this one, if you want a cool graveyard crow style shot, find a rock to perch on, not someones head stone. Same here, but if not, then go somewhere else. Although the irony would be once you died and someone else sat on your headstone or made out on your grave.

DR490N regardless, if you're to take photos and stuff like that, ask permission first. say something like "i mean no disrespect, but you have a beautiful gravestone" and then take a photo. That's a very good way to handle it. I think I'll start doing that.

I don't really know, I think it's rude. Not because it's a graveyard, but because it's public. There's alot of people who rather not see you having sex, and not respecting that is a little selfish.
