retice Like the first post says, I didn't so much hate it as I was very afraid of it. I remember google is where I first saw yaoi, with my friend. We were looking for images of some anime, I think YYH, and saw our fair share of graphic situations. After that it was like opening a floodgate. You can't go far on the internet without unintentionally finding yaoi somewhere. I was a little catholic girl and I thought it was all porn, so I was scared of it. I was afraid that my dad would see me accidentally coming across it and ground me. I was afraid that my friends would find it on my search history and think I was a pervert. I feel the need to point out that I never thought homosexuality was scary or grose, though. Yaoi to me was just something on the same level as watching an R rated movie or saying the f-word in front of your parents. Something I'd get in a lot of trouble for looking at. Wow, that's exactly what it was like for me. It didn't help any that my dad had always said that he was going to check out what we've searched for the day to make sure we weren't looking at anything bad. (But now that I think about it, I laugh at that because I was only in third grade.)

Lol I was in the sixth grade when it became an issue. That was the year I really started exploring the internet for fanfiction and things when I had previously only been going on the computer to play PC games. Dad was constantly over my shoulder. sweatdrop
