strong and comedic ya know kinda like Kagura (Azumanga Daioh), Mimiru (Dot Hack), Misao (Rurouni Kenshin), then there's Ed (Cowboy Bebop) who isn't really strong so much as just awesome XD

I'm into the more ruggish girls. Best example would be Yoko from Juuni Kokki.
She fights with a sword and makes tough decisions even when she is scared out of her mind with grief and anger for being pulled away from anything familiar. I also give her full points for her loyalty in the face of betrayal and her ability to adapt and inspire others.
