Why do asians dye(highlight) their hair so much?

To stand out beacuse we all kind of look the same from the back of our heads...the colours represent us....that is all...

I used to dye my hair a lot... until the dreaded day that my hair was all bleh... and icky. -___-; And it turned bright orange... so I had to put another color over that and wait for the color to come out...

Until then, my mom doesn't let me dye my hair anymore... now the ends are just a auburn brown and the rest is black/dark brown.

I got a drastic change to my hair a couple months ago... I ditched my ponytail, got layers and bangs. That changed my hair a lot... xp People didn't even recognized me... or at least thought I looked different.

I don't highlight my hair or dye it in any way. My hair already has red and gold glints (it actually brownish, not black) . A Korean friend of mine dyes here hair ALOT. Like every month or so..

Ive dyed my hair three times! I think my hair looks awesome ^^
I would like to keep dying it.. but I know its not good for your hair.. and I also think it can cause you to loose hair later in the future.
Do anyone have any info about it?

I have a friend named Pam who highlighted her hair red! lol i think its cool that they do! but i cant cause my mom would die and so would my dad! damn uptight republicans! BECOME A LIBERAL DAMMIT! scream

For me, I've always wanted to put highlights in my hair. Either like blood red, dark purple, dark blue, maybe a little bit of blond and brown...but I never really get the chance to. Yeah..honestly, I've never dyed my hair before, unless you count the temporary stuff in those "do-it-yourself kits". xd lol.

But in my opinion, I think Asians highlight their hair because maybe they want to show off that they have really dark dark brown/black hair by comparing with the colours they used to highlight their hair.. I honestly don't know. Can't you just do it cuz it looks good? >.<

my friend tried to dye her hair purple but it came out hot pink.
i think it's because it makes our hair more interesting.
