I play all the relatively clean songs when my parents are around. Out of those however, they think they are decent and I could listen to much worse.

My dad, being a fellow worshipper of music, doesn't really feel much for them but resects the fact that I do. My mom--well, first she was freaked because "My Chemical Romance" MUST translate into "My Love of Drugs" (and it does, kinda--in the Irvine Walsh stories. Not in the band). When I put a picture of them on the background of the computer, my mom was like "Who ARE these men and why are that one's eyes scary?" They don't share my enthusiasm, but they'd never stop me from listening. (ha, like they could...)

My parents don't care, really.
But they won't let me get Three Cheers or Life On The Murder Scene cause of the parent advisory. burning_eyes
But I have Three Cheers downloaded on my computer anyways, and I have the first CD so all I have to do is get LOTMS now.

Lets just say that my parents don't know who they are, and it's staying that way. They don't even know that I have the CD. I burned it to a blank disc from iTunes. If they heard their music, I'd be grouded for life. Who knows... maybe I can get a poster... cause I drew a picture of Gerard, and she said he was kind of cute. But made sure to add that she does NOT approve of the dark eye makeup stare . When she first saw their band name written on my notebook, she's like, "Who's that??!! My Chemical Romace means Drugs!!!" rolleyes It took a minute to show to her that it was just something from a book that Mikey saw... She's just gonna have to get over that, cause MCR is my favorite band, and if she thinks she's gonna force her country music into my head, she has another thing comin'. evil We'll see what happens. I want a poster so bad!! 3nodding Just, will I ever get one... crying I'll never get to see one of their concerts either... gonk not fair... cry

My mom, like, LOVES them. 3nodding She's taking me to see them in September. biggrin It's going to be her second time seeing them, she's so excited! She used to threaten to take them away from me(about a year ago), but she's over it and finally found her way to the light that is MCR. lol I think she mainly likes them because of how much they mean to me, but yeah, she's really the only one that gets happy when I put them on. xd
My father, on the other hand, doesn't really care. He likes them, but he doesn't REALLY like them. He's been to two MCR concerts... yeah, he doesn't want to go to anymore. xp

My moms worried that the music I listen to is too 'death-obsessed' and that it's going to 'mess me up'. xp First off, she obviously doesn't get the message and secondly, I take it that she hasn't listened to any of my brother's Blink-182... stare
My dad, on the other hand, is more understanding. He likes a few of MCR's songs and even chose to put some on his mp3. Crazy. But even crazier is the fact that he likes The Used. They swear in nearly every song, but this morning he was like 'Hey, I should go onto iTunes some time and get some more of that music you've gotten. I think there's some Used on there that I haven't listened to.' But he also loves country music... O_o It's insane.

Um..I keep my musical interests away from my parents. I like my privacy. But I'm sure they think its just a faze like always. But my brother thinks I'm going to be all emo one day and I usually glare at him and say emo is a type of music not a fashion/label
