Mauimango7 I'm sure many of you are already aware that tomorrow (April 26, 2006) is the Day of Silence. The informational website is here. Here is a scanned copy of the flyer you show to pepople when they ask you why your not talking. (Sorry it's off center!) Come post your thoughts in this thread! dude how many people could do that? i would have tried but i talk to myself when i'm home alone and i had to translate for some people but i wanted to do it

It's not that hard for me to go an entire day without speaking. I did it often in high school and my friends tried their best to get me to break my silences.

I did it this year.....unfortunately it didn't go as I hoped. I had to borrow a small notebook from a classmate to communicate with teachers who needed to know information and I couldn't risk detention with my schedual.

*growls* I had full intention of doing the Day of Silence this year. Seriously, I marked it on my calendar in my assignment notebook for class. The thing is, I thought it was the twenty-ninth. Then I went on the website and saw it was the twenty-sixth... and the day I went on the site was the twenty-eighth. I thought I had tiiiiiime T____T But I think what I'll do is I'll just do it on the twenty-sixth of may... that would work.

My friends did that at their school. Except they had a little addition to it. Night of Noise. Which basically means after a day of keeping quiet they, um..., make sure you know that they're there. By participating in...... okay so everyone gets laid that night. Which is just an added bonus if you ask me.

I remember that day well. All my friends did it, and they wouldn't talk, and I was like "wtf? What's going on?" untill I found out about it on the library. It went fairly well, I started half the day, so, I hope that counted for something. Luckly my parents didn't come home till late from work, if they found out that I was not talking because of this, they would stick the bible in my face and tell me that it was a sin, etc, etc. I didn't feel like going through that though. biggrin
I had to keep concentrating on making my lips together the whole time. xd It was a success.

Well, this was my first one. But umm, are there any official rules because I was told it only lasted until schools out by my friends.....and it was a half day making it really easy. But I know the whole "Being gay is a sin routine" also, Kobayashi-sama.
