☇ People know Ninjin as a very disciplined person; he's responsible, respectful, and mature. He doesn't shirk his duties and is polite to those that generally deserve it, such as the elderly and those with higher status than himself. Because of this, people often find him to be a reliable person and is easy to trust; so long as he finds what you're trusting him with inside his moral standards. He's lost a few friends for turning them in when they do something they all knew was wrong or even dark.
☇ Ninjin is a social person, preferring the company of others over himself, and is a pretty laid-back guy during his free time. While he is a studious person, Ninjin isn't all work and no play. He's actually a bit of a nerd, getting together with friends each weekend to play a game of tabletop dueling (or, watch in his case) or D&D, and can be quite the party animal; albeit, a responsible one. Something most people don't know about him is that Ninjin is extremely oblivious. Unless he's told straight up in blunt terms, he will never catch on. Surprisingly, however, he's only oblivious when it comes to himself; he is actually pretty observant person that can easily tell when someone is interested anyone else.
☇ Despite how he comes off now, Ninjin was not always the saintly person others like to think of him as. Up until he started taking martial arts lessons, he had a horribly violent temper that often caused him to throw terrifying tantrums that involved breaking things. He's in control of this now, but he is always wary of anything that could cause him relapse back into it. Other bad traits include being a tad bit insensitive. This isn't intentional, of course, but Ninjin can just be recklessly blunt at times. Ask him if a dress makes you look fat or if a haircut is bad and he'll probably say yes without any thought just because he's such an honest person.
「 ʙɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ 」
☇ Ninjin was born in Tōkyō to Yua Shiba, a single mother that did her best to provide for him on a poor salary for the first five years of his life. He doesn't remember much of that time, but he remembers vividly that they lived in a bad part of the city and had a hard time getting by on what she was paid. There wasn't a lot for Ninjin to do back then, so he was almost always bored and being stuck with a babysitter that did the bare minimum while his mom was at work didn't really do much to help. He developed anger problems young purely because it got him attention.
☇ When he was five, he and his mother moved to Domino City where she was able to find a much better job at Kaiba Corporation. The salary allowed them to move into a better place than their starter apartment and for her to enroll him into primary school all within the first couple months of working. It was all a lot for Ninjin to take in and process at the time, which resulted in a lot of tantrums. This came to a head when he had a particularly violent tantrum that resulted in him throwing a chair at another student; either he needed to get help or he would be removed from the class. Not being able to afford the serious help he needed at the time, Yua signed him up for martial arts classes to hopefully help him vent in a safe way until she could do better. Surprisingly, it did wonders and therapy became a distant thought for them. Ninjin was responding well to the classes he was taking.
☇ It really was a miracle and to this day, Ninjin is a dedicated student of the arts. Like his mother, his life has been rather uneventful. There was a time when he was nine that he went camping with a group of friends and their parents where he got lost in the woods for a full twenty-four hours, but that was about the only incident. When he took up dueling, Ninjin never expected it to become such a serious thing; it had just been a hobby. Something he did with his friends during free time. But, he was encouraged by his friends to give professional dueling a chance and before he knew it, he had built up a bit of a reputation. He hasn't been in any serious tournaments, the only one being the qualification tournament held by Kaiba Corporation every two years. And, that hardly counts. So, he's very excited to participate in the Spherium Nova Invitational.
