On the way to the fountains, the activity managed a incredible trick. Harmonia looked away from her Champion long enough to scan all the nieces and nephews—noting which were not working. Weddings one stood out like a neon thumb, earning a headshake. To those that venture there, all the harmonious years to come. Faun demis existed, earning a very quick look away as if they were not there. Oh her precious niece Abby received a wave from a distance too great to properly great her.
Leaning her head against Stia’s shoulder she sighed softly just basking in the moment. “You look so charming yourself.” He earned a little smirk and a playful hip bump. Away from the Ranch and freer then she’d been for as long as she could remember, some playfulness snuck out. “It has been a long time since we’ve had a date” One really, another Venus Day event back when Kurt—Swallowing hard she had to glance away for a few moments to gather herself. So many seasons since he passed and now she thinks of him as if he was calling for her help?
Oh Weddings? Despite herself, she found her attention grabbed by the weddings booth with as much curiosity as any attempt to a distraction. It worked, blinking away the welling feeling drawn out from the night mare, the angel looked back to Stia and sighed, “I needed this, thank you, beloved.” Deciding the kids really needed the chance to be on their own she offered, “Shall we check out the fountains? There are some lovely options.” Cheese one practically called her name. How long had it been since something so decadent?
Shifting her weight to her lead foot, this angel was ready to move but waiting for her fae to join her. The kids had their date, and they had their own.
Imagination made real spoke again, instantly drawing another smile. Giving a nod, and trying not to reach back to mess with his pull completely back blue mane for how strange it was. “Sounds like a great idea. Lovely party, maybe a little less exciting this time?” His attempt at a charming smile passed with honest hope the was coming off as cool and charming as he was trying to be. By the Alpaca this was out of his element. Second time he could say that about a party.
Mom and Dad looked happy enough together. Encouraged he offered his arm to Asrun,”Lets go find enough tasty food and maybe get out of the main area for a bit?” Moments to breath after being swarmed around more pae then he’d seen in his life sounded prefect. Well second biggest gathering, just looking at the naiad tank brought back the memory of blood. Nooopppee! Begone thoughts he’d have his evening!
Golden sunset harpy stayed safely above the crowd just supervising. The role suited her while her sisters had their own. Speaking of sisters, her beloved Mayu shown like a million flowers in a sea of gaudy. Waving over to the Matriach her mantra sang in her head ‘I will not embarrass my flock!’ Oh no, this time she was staying out of trouble. Should be easier with the adult deities staying out of it. The kids worked their areas fairly well.
Second scan brought her little pet rock into view. Grinning she swooped down pulling up just high enough to give his hair a little, tiny breeze. If It surprised him, that was no on her. “Why hello there, terracotta” As it always did, the party just got much more interesting.
With great affection, Harmonia caressed his cheek remarking, “Your heart and bravery always look amazing, you exceed every time.” And so he charmed her attentions before anyone would ever truly have a chance.
Millie gave her a moment of pause, “Millie?” Was that someone she should know? Anyone over seeing babies fell under the harmony that was her realm but it didn’t ring a bell. Moving on, her response came, “For the longest time it was just my siblings and I, seems all the sudden demi’s are popping up everywhere. Maybe the mortal realm caused it?” Glancing the pure water fountain, she gave a chuckle, “Or there is something in the water?” Best to avoid that particular fountain even if the joke came without foresight.
Retrieving two serving glasses from the Cherub nearby, Harmonia offered one filled with chocolate to Tristen just after kissing the glass. “You’ll always have my blessing. I am glad your family is growing so well. They are precious.” Kiss on the glass was all for show, the real blessing was already inside. There was particular attention paid to offer the glass to the hand not around her. The other free hand accepted the wine. One particular brother of her was not involved so there was no worry.
Noting the marriage booth, she observed, “Oh they are asking for trouble, poor boy.” Her glass inclined to Lannister though If asked she wouldn’t have been able to name him. Wine flowing so freely and so many couples, it was a recipe for marriages. Blessed Mother no marriage arrows are flowing around this season.

Dovesong grinned as he glanced around, each time spotting something that felt new and exciting. His heart was piratically racing, almost pounding through his chest and ears. A huge grin was plastered all over his face, his dual-colored eyes simply lit up. It wasn't until his mind seemed to overflow with questions that he paused.... causing his brother to run smack dab into the back of him.
"Oops! Sorry Sora!" he laughed, turning and facing his quieter twin, reaching out to ruffle the matching pink mane opposite him. "Ya know, all these different pae. The lights, noises, sounds. Mom doesn't strike me as the type to attend these parties. I guess dad is just that awesome!" he grinned cheekily with a slight 'heee' type of laughter as he gave his brother a thumbs up.
Truth be told, he was glad to be here tonight. This place felt like home... in a weird sense. Not that his home with mom back at the tree wasn't also, well, home. Just this one felt more...more akin. More, natural almost. Like he belonged here. Like there was a spotlight somewhere calling his name....
Dovesong completely zoned out, eyes towards the lights, head in the clouds. It would take some prodding to get him back from his daydreams.
Irish Night Fox One Dovesong for a Soargin Hope
Tree Hugger wore a sort of placid, almost dazed smile about her face as she glanced around the hotel lobby at all the flashing lights and sounds. Only once before could she remember a party as lit up and spectacular as this, way back before Equestria had been extinguished. Fluttershy had invited her and a couple guests proved too high-strung and needed a little of her own calming music.
Things didn't seem that way here. Or at least not yet.
"Mmmmm, I can feel it. This is going to be a wild party." she spoke, her words slow, almost drawled, but oddly... peaceful. She turned to look at the faun she attended the party with and smiled up at him. She wasn't one for expressing feelings, at least not in a normal sense. But something about the fact that he resembled wood made this nature loving faunie feel at home.
Even if she only knew him from recently.
So naturally, she drug him to the first party she heard about!
Because that's how things worked....right?
Taegan idled around, slightly bored, slightly confused as to why he was here in the first place. He looked at all the different types of pae, running them through his mind against a barrage of words his mother had told him and his twin brother about from all the times she had come to one of these. It seemed a staple for her. Always attending parties. Yet for some reason this year...he found Tiberius and himself here in her stead. Turning his head towards his brother, he gave Tiberius a bit of a shrug. "What do here, intensely?" he blinked, his speaking habits quite strange yet oddly familiar if anyone knew his mother well.
Which was both a unique and scary thing in and of itself.
Having found an odd need to adopt a catchphrase word, he began to add it to the ends of his sentences, though his speech patter was a lot less... bubbly than his mothers. More subdued and calm though still unique in his own way. Perhaps he had his father to thank for the little bit of normalcy he inhabited inside him. Also probably the only reason he wasn't absolutely bouncing off the walls right about now. The only thing were his wings giving off an occasional slight quiver.

That time of year again! And this year, he got to take a break and just enjoy the party! Well, mostly.
...okay, not like he didn't find ways to enjoy the party every year anyway.
Clearly.
With something between pride and amusement, he watched the two boys fiddle with the trays they'd been given. Limon seemed to be figuring out how best to balance his with the drinks on top. Chuckling, Himeros stepped between them with a grin, one hand on each of their shoulders. "You boys, got this. Don't worry. It's easy. Just keep the drinks flowing and make sure that everyone has a good time! That's all there is to it!"
Keep the drinks flowing and make sure that everyone has a good time. Got it! Nodding enthusiastically, Limon nearly unbalanced the tray he was holding before he got ahold of himself. Right, spilling the drinks is probably not helpful regarding those goals.
"Got it, Dad!" he vocalized his enthusiasm instead, shooting a grin at his twin nearby. This was so exciting! A real party with gods and mortals and food and drink and all kinds of activities and-- He felt he could have danced a jig, but he reminded himself of the tray. Right. If only Mom had come to see them at work! Course, there was still work to do back home, he understood that. The lemons wouldn't grow themselves. Well, they kinda' would, but...
Anyway, this was quality time with Dad and a glimpse into his world. Practically dancing on his hooves, he winked at his twin and started off towards the arriving guests. "Come on, Puck! Let's go! Lots of thirsty Pae need drinks!"
Chuckling once more to himself, Himeros shook his head and took a moment to ponder just where to spend his time first at this particular shindig. He'd keep an eye on the little colts, of course, but not all the time. Let them do their thing and he could do his. For once, he felt fairly carefree and unburdened and he was going to make the most of it while it lasted. Fortunately, he never noticed the dismissive look Harmonia had given the boys, else he'd have had to waste precious party time going over to pointedly boast at what darling, wonderful, perfect boys they were, unlike some others he could name, if only to fluster her and disrupt her 'perfect harmony'.
Not that he would do that, of course.
Oh, hello there, beautiful! Grabbing a couple of extra drinks from prepping the trays, Himeros set a course for a lovely demon lady who had just entered with a pair of wings (and hips) to die for. Party on!

Wow, what a spread! Of course, these things never failed to be impressive, but it was as if the lady running these things tried to outdo herself with each year! Focusing on his twin's voice, Erasmus pulled his attention away from the surroundings for a moment. Okay, time to focus. Be distracted by all the shiny baubles and delicious food once they'd gotten rid of Grandpa.
Before he could say a word though, Arelle swept in and took charge of the situation. Holy...wait, had that been part of the plan? He wasn't sure. Sure went smoothly though if it was? Instead, he blinked a couple times, then grinned when Arelle's arm looped around him. Yep, totally all according to plan!
As they started putting some distance between them and the elder demon, he turned up his winning smile and put an arm around Arelle in return. "Chocolate? You want some? Cause I can totally get you some chocolate." Sweet! This was going great. Never mind they were apparently invited here to do some kind of work or something. Nah, he'd forgotten about that for the time being. For now, he was just working on making sure his twin didn't earn more attention than he did from the lovely lady.
Once inside the temple, Kane had allowed himself to relax...just by a hair. The trip here had carried them halfway across the Isle and these days, one never knew what dangers were out there. Takeko had made a show of letting the boys know that there was no way she was letting them go without a chaperone. She'd spun it as if the party was what she was worried about, however, Kane knew the truth. There were too many dangers out on the Isle and the angel had her eyes opened long ago to that.
Even if the boys and their friend hadn't accepted their assigned chaperone, Kane knew it would have been his responsibility to go anyway, had they chosen to try to sneak out without permission instead. Who better to track them through the thick jungle than the experienced hunter?
He may have grumbled about having to sit around at some party all evening, but he'd have gone anyway. Those boys had a perchance of finding trouble no matter what they did.
Arelle's sudden outburst should have been startling, but it seemed to be a bit par for the course this evening. Kane's eyes followed the direction she was pointing and he raised an eyebrow in interest. Oh, hello there, delicious morsels...
In a moment's distraction, the kids had taken the opportunity to make an escape from his watch. He hadn't been ignorant of their 'secret plans' made on the way here, only pretended not to notice. He really didn't personally care what they got up to on this trip...as long as they didn't get hurt. Not that he was telling them that. Let them have their fun and be kids a while longer. He did frown grumpily at their hasty departure and huff while crossing his arms over his chest. Still keeping up his facade as the grumpy old chaperone, he shouted after them, "Just try not to break anything, would ya'?"
With a slight roll of his eyes, he sighed and surveyed the rest of the surroundings. Didn't seem too dangerous here at least. He'd stay on alert, but...that didn't mean he couldn't explore a bit. He was actively trying to ignore the buffet shrimp for the time being...really, he was more than just a creature of habit. Maybe a drink.
Leaving the kids to see to the chocolate fountain, he sought out a different one, one that seemed a bit more suited for adult tastes. Picking up one of the clear glasses, he peered at the pale liquid within, tiny bubbles clinging to the inside of the glass. Smelled like alcohol, but was it any good? A sip, then another.
Huh...this stuff actually isn't bad.
Content with his acquisition, he started off to find something else to do, but again the shrimp beckoned to him. Stronger this time. After only a moment, he thought What the hell? Why not enjoy myself? and adjusted his path towards the buffet table.

Did she look alright? She had nagged everyone who would hear her all day. Her sisters, her brothers, her parents, the neighbors. Did she look alright. No really, because she didnt know. Soliel had never gone to one of these parties, and so never had put so much emphasis on looking good. Her dual colored locks flowed loose around her shoulders, gently brushing against her red laced dress. She slipped her pouch of coins into her red clutch as she walked inside.
Oh nervous, nervous demon. She kept her eyes scanning the room for her boyfriend -the thought still made her blush- before landing on a fuzzy rainbow. It wasnt like he was terribly hard to spot, with his tail flying so fast it might pop off! Instantly her nervousness melted away, and she hurried over to him. "Remy! You beat me here!" The girl spoke happily as she threw her arms around him in a hug. "I'm glad you made it."

For probably the first time in his unbroken streak of attending these parties, Hjortur was not actually feeling all that into it. He hadn't even brought his flute this year, opting instead to leave it back at home. His normal face seemed a bit gauntier than normal, as if he'd lost more than a bit a weight: as if some of his vitality had gone with it. Bags layered under his eyes from the sleepless and stressful nights that had come to define him in recent times. Surely there were a few new wrinkles from what troubles the day brought.
This wasn't like him, he knew that.
Even coworkers had seemed a bit put-off by his, telling him to 'lighten up' or 'it couldn't be helped' or that 'it wasn't his responsibility.' But it was. What if he could have done something? What if he'd done everything differently...? Could things have been different?
If only he'd....
No. No, no, no. He'd promised Kel he'd try to not think about how things were back home. They'd come here and relax. Clear their minds of everything. Have some fun. Mindless fun.
That was what you were supposed to do here. It used to come so naturally.
Slapping his cheeks, he shook his head as the familiar sensation of water moved across his scales. Don't worry about the parents; the kids were taking care of them now. The kids had become fine adults. Some had kids of their own. They could handle it. Don't worry, they could handle it.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Reaching down and taking Kel's hand, he offered her the closest thing to a genuine smile he'd been able to make in some times. It largely resembled his natural one, and perhaps someone who wasn't familiar with him would see nothing wrong. But it was noticeably forced and awkward in a way different from his usual boyishness. He still couldn't believe she'd be the one to suggest they do this.
He must have worried her quite a bit... huh...
"So..." he laughed lightly, trying to forcibly push away the feelings of guilt that threatened to resurface if he relaxed his mind. "...Drinks?"

Whoo! Daedalus was on hype duty! Ah yeah! Time to go get everynaiad hyped!
Yeah...
How in Venus' name was he supposed to do that?!
Running a hand through his hair, he glanced from side to side and grumbled a bit under his breath. Where was that sister of his?! Wasn't she actually, like, wa-a-ay more suited to this role than him? Like, he was pretty damn proud of his abilities and had worked his tail fin in training, but she was literally a muse of music.
L-I-T-E-R-A-L-L-Y a goddess of music!
How the heck was he supposed to compete with that! Was this one of grandma's silly challenges? Was he being tested?
Or maybe it was his cousin forced on music duty? As outta place as he was down here, she was even moreso at risk for a direct comparison. Poor thing. Not that he'd ever let that show on his face (though it was most certainly showing on his face).
At least his father's family didn't seem like they'd be coming this year, and unsurprising given recent developments at home. Things were pret-ty tense, and he was not about to go get his nose into any of that drama. He already had one sister mad at him (for some reason he simply couldn't fathom), no point in going down now. Grandpa was probably even more intolerable than normal. Which was saying something. A lot of things. Man, he really didn't like gramps; it was kinda satisfying to see the a** get his karma thrown back at him.
Shame about Grannie tho; she didn't deserve it.
Where was he going with this?
Oh right. Grinning, Daedalus swam right up into Mnemo's personal space (well, right above her shoulder) to look at what she was doing. He rested his elbows on an imaginary surface and his head in his palms as he did so. Something something - he could do a better job at hyping if he knew what she would be playing - something.
"Hey. What~cha doing?"
Quote: Daedalus is out and ready to hype anyone who needs hyping. Except his dad. He's not dealing with that pandora's box.

Kelebek, too, had been shaken by recent events back home. She couldn't help but think about her own babies, and how she would have felt if someone had stolen them away from her. Her heart ached for the Queen, even the tiniest shred of jealousy forgotten. She hoped they found whoever was responsible, and, more importantly, brought those little ones home safe.
She also wanted to throttle whoever was responsible for personal reasons: they'd stolen the light from her love's eyes. She missed his boyish grin and the music in his voice. Which was why, against her better judgment, when the announcement went out about the yearly Venus Day festivities, Kelebek had suggested that they attend. She'd been wary of land-dweller parties for some time, but Hjortur adored them so. Perhaps, she reasoned, the carefree air and the celebrations would lighten his mood, take his mind off things back home. It also didn't escape her memory that a paramour goddess of his was usually to be found here. Kelebek typically tried to put thoughts of that particular relationship out of her mind and look the other way. This time, if it made him happy, she'd disappear for a little while and let the two...catch up, as it were.
She'd felt so confident coming here, so excited on Hjortur's behalf, that she'd forgotten how anxious these events made her feel. She felt herself clinging to his side, which she kept trying to play off as being fetchingly draped against him. When he suggested they have a drink, she gave a tight nod at first, then forced herself to relax. She knew he'd feel her nervousness if she didn't control herself. Kelebek smiled as warmly as she could. "That sounds lovely," she agreed. Perhaps she'd just sip at hers...she never did trust land-dweller drink after that one time.
