Syndel stepped off the bus and smiled softly as she walked up to her bookstore. She, sadly, was not able to finish inventory before she had to lock up and catch the last bus out of town. So, this morning she was hoping to get things done. As she unlocked the door, she'd carefully push it open and let the lights in the store turn on, the familiar Ting-a-ling of the bell overhead. "This shall be an interesting day." She thought to herself. The winds were not a bother, though they did make it autumn-like. Syn would close the door but not lock it as she glanced at the clock in back; 5 a.m. "Okay, so I have time before we open," She said to herself before taking a sip of her coffee. She then would look around before heading upstairs to set everything up in her office.

In her office, she would warm up her computer and set her coffee down. Her purse though would be set in the desk; locked up. She then sighed and put her phone in her jeans pocket and set to walking downstairs after locking her office door behind her. Since she had separated the boxes by genre, she would start organizing on the second floor that was below her current floor. Those were fantasy, mythology and sci-fi types. She was happy to be getting more Harry Potter, but she was also excited to get Forgotten Realms series as well; she remembered that her brother loved it, so she wanted to read it as well. Shaking her head, she would set her coffee mug on a nearby table, get to work on moving a heavy box of books and, using her keys to cut it open, started to take books out and shelf them. All the while she would sing under her breath; starting with: siúil, a rún.

Victor leisurely walked down the lamp lit streets of the town, still to early for the sun to show, not that it could with the heavy rain that was currently pelting him as he journeyed to the bookstore. Though his route to the town wasn't longer than a half an hour typically, the rain had slowed his progress as he dodged the deeper puddles while following his familiar route. He couldn't avoid all of them, due to the only illumination at this time being the street lights, which had patches between them that he could only barely distinguish the path he had to travel, let alone the pools of water. He could feel the lower half of his body slowly accumulating the water from the rain and let out an involuntary shiver. His jacket could only really protect his face and the upper half of his body, while his lower half just had to deal with the cold. It didn't help that it was fairly cold this morning, and Victor had a feeling he would be sick tomorrow morning, but he pushed the thought from his head. He needed to make it to work on time, he was not going to develop a reputation for being late on his very first day of work.

He heard darya speak up in his mind. 'I can take over dear. You needn't get sick. She already knows I will work for you from time to time.' she pleaded, trying to convince Victor to relinquish control. Victor shook his head as he continued his slow, wet pace to work. 'No Darya, its the first day. If I can't show up for the first day then it'll give her the wrong idea. There are no other places here I can even work at...I have no choice.' he responded to her in a tired voice. Though he liked the rain, being constantly pelted for this long in near total darkness and freezing to top it off was draining his spirit. He had woken up fairly awake, and the rain would ensure he couldn't get tired physically, but mentally it would continue to drain him. Darya ceased her offer at his response and merely stayed silent as he continued to trudge his way in this weather to where he hoped would be the bookstore, the darkness obscuring his usual landmarks with the intent of causing him to get lost. At this point in time he had managed to reach the town, which mercifully had the street lights much closer to one another, allowing his sight to be greatly increased. He suppressed a laugh as his thoughts drifted to how the darkness would normally scare him, but because of the rain he couldn't focus on it. Now that he had reached this familiar terrain, his route was easily identifiable as he headed for the bookstore.

Victor finally found himself in front of the store, his pants legs and shoes thoroughly soaked from the rain. The store was shining out in the dark, as were a few others likely getting ready for the day. Peering inside, he couldn't make out Miss Valafar and experimentally tried to open the door. It did so easily, with the familiar bell going off, causing Victor to momentarily freeze before remembering it happening all the previous times he entered. He idly wondered why she would leave the register unattended; most stores would be locked up if it were not attended. Though with the bell, she probably had easy line of sight to it if anything occurred. Victor lightly walked inside, closing the door behind him as he lightly dripped. Worried, he tried getting rid of as much water as he could by squeezing his wet clothes and jacket at the outside part of the doorway, once again opening and causing the bell to ring. He hoped she wouldn't be annoyed by hearing it twice for one person as he tried in vain to get rid of all the water from his drenched clothes, momentarily distracted. He thought he could hear her voice, but it was to faint for him to be sure, and with the door open as he tried to dry himself, the rain would make it indistinguishable.

Syndel had moved on from the second floor when she had heard the bell twinkle. Luckily the petite woman was done with the second floor and decided to take the flat, empty boxes with her. She smiled softly and walked over to the railing. Just looking over to peer at the first floor, she could see all the way to the front door. At first she was confused, then she smiled as soon as she saw who it was. "Good morning, Mr. Todeas," She greeted kindly, her dark gray eyes taking in his slightly damp form casually. Syn then moved away from the railing in order to make her way downstairs with the cardboard.

It seemed she had not noticed the slight puddle on the top of the stairs, she just happened to slip on it. With a yelp, she felt her stomach drop as the flat boxes dropped from her grasp. She either had a bad streak of luck or very good luck, because as she slipped Syn fell back on a box and slid down the second flight of stairs down to the ground floor. All at once, she was terrified and exhilarated until she got to the first floor, sliding all the way to the middle of Good Reads. In a rough stop, she prepared for the roll and ended up on her hands and knees.
"Ow...Um, I'm not usually this klutzy, I swear. And there's still boxes to unpack and books to organize...So, I'm going to do that," She stated, her cheeks painted by a slight shade of pink, and a drop in temperature could be felt within a radius of three feet of her. "Anyways, how are you?" She inquired as she made her way to the boxes in the back; she was a little embarrassed, so she was trying to distract to something other than her embarrassing fall.

Victor froze as he heard Miss Valafar wish him good morning, having been trying to dry himself. Her voice sounded kind, but his nerves were in full overdrive as he thought over his current situation. 'Soaking wet and failing to dry myself or think ahead enough to bring a spare...' His head turned away from the outside to face her, noticing her dark gaze trained on him from so high above. He felt a bit of embarrassment being caught doing this for some reason, not entirely sure why, but not being able to shake the feeling. He hurriedly stopped what he was doing and closed the door behind him, dampening the sounds of the rain as his gaze generally focused on her. With the current incident, he did not meet her gaze with his own, just looking in her general direction. She sounded nice, but he felt he had failed somehow. Slightly dejected, he gave her a wave in greeting, afraid his voice would give away what he felt.

It was at this point that he noticed her start to descend the stairs, presumably heading towards him. Almost immediately he noticed her get shorter, shortly followed by a yelp, as Miss Valafar fell down the stairs. It was too shocking for him to react, as he stood frozen in place watching. He lost sight of her temporarily as she was sliding down the steps, but he noticed her on top of a box and sort of riding it down the stairs. Victor felt time slow as he watched her ride the box down the entire staircase, only to unceremoniously eject her. She had more grace than he had thought anyone could have, as she ended up on her hands and knees rather than flat on the floor, albeit in the middle of the bookstore. Victor was frozen just staring at the end of her little slide, unsure what to do and how it all even happened. His right hand tentatively twitched up, as if to go help her and he took a few steps to her but he hesitated too long, as Miss Valafar spoke to say ow before pushing herself up from the ground as she continued speaking.

She claimed to not be klutzy, which made Victor confused a second before he remembered she had fallen down the stairs the first day he had met her. The sudden dawning of it made him feel bad, as he felt partially responsible as she would not have come down had he not entered, and thus would've avoided the fall. He was going to try to...comfort her, and probably fail, but she continued speaking, saying she was going to start unpacking and organizing the books. 'Which is what I should do as well to help.' he thought to himself. He suddenly felt a chill in the air, and hugged himself temporarily to warm himself up from it. He hadn't felt that cold before, but what with him being wet and being in a building, it may have just been a stray gust of wind from an air conditioner or fan, depending if either were active, even if they weren't in this room. Looking back at her to see if she felt it, he noticed her cheecks had become a shade of pink, and felt his joining them as her embarrassment apparently fed his. 'I should have helped her up...or done something...' he morosely thought.

He was about to say something when he heard her speak again, while moving away to where the boxes were presumably. He idly thought she was a very busy person as she jumped from one action to the next before he could do anything. As she inquired about him, he hurriedly responded in his low voice, not really thinking any issues he had were worth mentioning in comparison to what just happened to her."I'm...fine...Here, i'll help you." Victor responded, following her to where the boxes of books were that would need to be unpacked and organized. For her sake, he did not bring up her accident again, worried he would make it worse if he kept talking about it and believing she wanted it as far from her mind as possible. He would also look her over while following her to ensure she wasn't hurt in anyway, feeling partly responsible for the accident. He would not go over to the box she did, but rather one of the ones near that one and open the box. If allowed, he would proceed to stacks the books into neat piles by genre, and then reorganize the individual piles alphabetically, all the while leaning back so no drops would fall from him to the books. "Are...are you ok?" Victor asked, pausing to look away from his piles to Miss Valafar, his guilt of him causing the incident by entering the bookstore eating away at him. He would feel horrible if she was badly hurt in any way, and wanted to help undo any damage he did. His eyes had a sad look to them though they were actively avoiding hers. His face was also gloomy and downcast, as he just felt bad thinking of the what happened.

Syndel was not expecting help as she had gotten up, it would've made things a little worse if he had; hence her quick reaction to get back up. And her retreat was just something she did naturally, but what she needed to do was get her emotions in control. Even as her cheeks were painted, her expression was that of outward calm; it was only betrayed by the radius of cold around her. With an internal sigh, she would get to work on her first box of books on the first floor. Looking at the clock, she estimated that they had about an hour until the first customers came into the shop.

She had almost missed his proposal of assistance since she had hastened away from the embarrassing incident. His offer of help made her happy though; any suggestion to help was welcome if it meant half the time with the chore.
"Thank you, that would be most appreciated," She responded sincerely. She then went back to shelving the new mixology and other cookbooks of various cuisines. She was relieved that they could work in silence, not bringing up her 'slide'. As her nerves subsided, the cold seemed to recede as well, until it was gone completely.

The rest of the bookstore being a slight chill but not uncomfortably so. Since it was quiet, she decided to try and sort her thoughts.
"So, if we each do two boxes, we should be done in about thirty minutes," She reasoned then looked to the young man as he had inquired of her. Her dark-gray eyes blinked a couple times before they would look over at her new employee, the blush gone but her expression still relaxed. "I'm alright. I was heading downstairs anyways, sliding was just a little faster," She replied kindly, jesting lightly at her own expense near the end. Her attention returned to the task at hand. The petite owner was facing the last shelf, and that was the top one. "Hmm," she sighed before she would smile and carefully step on the bottom of the shelf and tried to place the book in its proper place. She probably looked like a child reaching for that forbidden cookie jar just out of reach, but she was being stubborn rather than asking for help.

Victor may not have had the greatest view of Miss Valafar due to him avoiding eye contact with her, having his eyes gazing morosely to the ground, but he did notice a shift in her body. He knew it was her turning to face him as he heard her speak, though her words shocked him enough for his gaze to swivel and meet hers with a confused expression. She had said she was alright, which relieved him, but his confused expression arose from her saying sliding down the stairs was faster. So surprised was he that he spoke without first thinking things through, the words tumbling out uncontrolled. "But wouldn't that have hurt? And isn't it dange...erous...Oh you were...joking..." Victor would finish speaking, his cheeks turning red and his face full of embarrassment as she realized what he meant. He silently berated himself for speaking without thinking, his eyes now staring hard at the floor to make sure she could not make eye contact with him.

He noticed her move away his eyes not daring to rise much but still noticing her step on a shelf. Though it would normally peak his curiosity, he felt far to embarrassed to really look. Unfortunately, this nature of work was not particularly distracting as his mind would continue to think on the events that had transpired. His gaze would eventually travel back to Miss Valafar. He worried slightly she might fall, but he did not envy the idea of having to go back to her and speak. Instead, he opted for a different method. While he was too embarrassed to go up to her and offer to do the task, he could circumvent the issue and tackle it in an alternate manner. Carefully picking up the empty boxes, he would place them behind Miss Valafar, roughly where she would land if she fell flat on her back. He did so quietly, intent to not draw attention to himself and disturb her from her work. It would not be a pleasant fall, but it would be a lot less painful than landing on the floor. Thinking quickly, he remembered there was a lone seat cushion he saw near the front. Quickly going over, he grabbed it and set it on the box closest to her, given that when a person falls they usually land on their backside first. He allowed himself a small smile, hoping she wouldn't fall but believing if she did it would not be as painful.

Eager to not disturb her and to hopefully leave her immediate presence, Victor merely picked up his organized pile of books and went about placing them in their appropriate shelves. Fortunately for him, the shelves they were to be deposited in were on the second floor and thus far from Miss Valafar, as he imagined what she thought of him as he silently worked and hoped that in silence he could force himself to forget it happened. He had messed up already, and as such he would force himself to focus on his work of placing the books in their appropriate areas once he reached his destination. He carefully ascended the steps carrying his piles of books very slowly, all too aware of how often they seemed to trip Miss Valafar and not wanting to risk dropping the books as that would lead to a cascade that only ended in tears. Once the second floor was reached, he made his way to where the books were to be placed. The shelf itself had been emptied, so all he had to do was place the books in the same order he had previously sorted them, only taking a few seconds for the first of his numerous piles. Satisfied that it was done appropriately, he would make his way to the next area to start unloading the next pile. Because of his prior sorting, it did not take him long to go through the task, as it was merely a matter of finding the appropriate area and inserting the books in the appropriate order.

Syndel was aware that Victor was confused by her statement but had also finally understood. What she couldn't understand was why he felt embarrassed, although she would refrain from saying anything about it and carried on with her tasks. It would be some time before they could finish, but she was confident they'd finish before lunchtime. Her dark grey eyes fell briefly on the improvised cushion that was to catch her should she fall and smiled a little. Miss Valafar was not sure if she should be thankful or insulted, but she thought it sweet nonetheless. Then she'd return to her challenge of stacking books on the highest shelves. "Got it," She whispered, triumphant in her filling and organizing the top most shelves on the first floor's right-side.

So pleased was the owner, that she'd practically skip over to the left, starting at the far back. This section of the store was mostly non-fiction and biographies. She enjoyed a few on occasion but prefered fantasy or mystery more often than not. Humming softly, she would get to work cutting open the boxes on this side so she could sort then shelf them. Since she felt he needed time to cool his red cheeks, she would leave Mr. Todeas to organize the remaining second floor shelves.

She would take her time in finishing the left side of the shop, taking no more than half an hour before she would disable the "safety net" that had been made for her and setting the cushion back on the chair behind the counter. Smiling lightly to herself, the young owner would used the key she'd been using to open the boxes in order to flatten them for easier disposal as she'd start to collect them one by one. Usually priding herself on doing such a task on her own, Syn swallowed her stubbornness and cleared her throat gently.
"Victor, if you are finished, do you think you could help me take the boxes out," She asked kindly, being sure to be loud enough to be heard without completely yelling. It was not an order, so she wouldn't get offended if he denied the request.

Valentine went about the job of putting away the stacks of books in relative peace. Due to the time, he was not expecting anyone to enter and he had his defenses down, believing he would not have to worry about being startled. He started humming quietly to himself as he worked on his task. It was not hard, given his earlier preparation, but it still took time to sort through the shelves that already had books to be alphabetical. The main time consumer in this task was finding which bookshelf the books went, as he knew they were all on the second floor but was unaware of the specifics in that section. This led to a lot of walking back and forth trying to find the appropriate area they were to be placed. It felt nice to Victor to be able to walk around with a purpose for a change. He was learning where books went on this floor, even learning a few of the titles in the process while not being restricted to one spot like a prisoner. A lot of his prior jobs required him to stand in place and work, which made him feel caged. He liked the feeling of being able to move, to be free to a degree. It took him the better part of half an hour, but he finally finished sorting all the books where they went.

He was confused about what he should do next. He had not been given an assignment list and there were no customers at present, but he didn't want to laze around on the job. For one, he would feel like he was abusing his new position. Two, he didn't know if he was allowed it when all immediate tasks he was aware of were done. And three, not knowing what to do while on a job always felt horrible. Thankfully he was spared the mental torment by the sounds of Miss Valafar's voice. She was not particularly loud, but he could hear her clearly. The message was about helping her take out the boxes, as he mentally face palmed. 'Of course! I only took the books from those boxes. Why did I forget we probably had to dispose of them.' he thought to himself. "S-sure thing! I...I just finished..up here." he spoke as loud as he could, though his voice was not particularly loud and would only be barely heard due to the openness of the store. He would slowly descend the stairs, careful to make sure he did not fall down the steps. Miss Valafar had served as reminder to him today to be careful on the stairs, so he forced the urgency in his mind to subside and allow him to carefully reach the bottom of the steps. Once he reached the bottom of the steps, he made his way over to where he last saw Miss Valafar at a brisk pace, not wanting to make her wait.

Victor arrived to see the boxes they had taken the books out of were flattened, with Miss Valafar in the same general area. He gave her a slight nod before turning his attention to the boxes, grabbing them one by one and neatly stacking them into a sizable pile before picking it up. He could just barely see over the pile of boxes to see what was in front of him, but could not see anything immediately in front of him. He turned slightly to face Miss Valafar, but couldn't see over the boxes. "I...can't see too well with this...can you please...lead the way?" he asked quietly. He could just not take as many of the cardboard boxes, but he wanted to be as much of a help as possible. If he could get most of them done in one go, he would spare her some of the work and trips required to get rid of these boxes. He briefly thought about bringing them home, but they did not serve much practical use with how damaged the place currently was.

Once the task was done, the day went on uneventfully except for a phone call from ragna of some events that had transpired. By the time his shift was done however it was quite late and Victor decided to merely return to his home for now.

It was almost six by the time she had gotten to the shop, closing her umbrella once she was under the awning. With a soft sigh, she looked out at the rain. She couldn't really feel the cold but it didn't mean she enjoyed dreary days. "I pray the sun returns soon." Smiling softly, she shook out her umbrella and took the key from her purse in order to unlock it. The familiar trill of the bell that greeted her each morning. "Good Reads, home away from home." Heading inside, she would shed her rain coat and let the door close slowly as she made her way toward the stairs.

Pleased with the work they had finished the day before, her dark gray eyes took in the shop she so loved. Her mind then wandered to her new employee and the call he had received.
"I hope everything is alright," She thought to herself as she made her way to the third floor. Feeling the heaviness of the coat, she would adjust it to be comfortable as she unlocked her office door and headed inside, deciding to leave the door open. Her office was still as cold as she had left it and smiled as she hung up her coat and umbrella on the hooks of the coat rack before setting her purse under her desk. Setting her travel-mug of coffee on the desk, she sat down to boot up the computer, sipping her coffee slowly as she started to do some technical work.

Darya arrived at the bookstore, having "borrowed" an umbrella along the way to Victor's job. Victor had meekly remained silent during the time, not voicing his usual complaints due to what he had witnessed before, not ever seeing her that mad. She, unlike Victor, did not hesitate to enter, closing the umbrella as she did. She gazed, rather bored, through the store, using her own eyes this time rather than Victors. Her mind was primarily focused on what she would do to Ragna later on this day once she completed Victor's shift. 'By the end of this day, Ragna shall be no more.' She spoke mostly to herself, as Victor remained an unwilling onlooker to the events she was planning. He wished he could warn his brother, but he was not able to in this state. The bell had chimed earlier when she first opened the door, but it was the farthest thing from both their minds. Rather than continue into the store, she merely stayed near the entrance as her eyes scanned around. 'Maybe there is a book on poison here...' Darya thought to herself with a smile forming on her face, leaving from the front area and looking around to try to find it. Victor had not organized this section of books, so she had no indication where it would be other than it was not on the second floor.

Syndel was quietly finishing up some financials when she heard the chime of the bells. "Someone's here," She thought absently as she stood from her desk. Absently, the young shop owner would slip her gloves into her pocket rather than slipping them on for now. As she made her way down to the second floor, she risked a peek, spotting the vibrant rouge that flared below. Smiling softly, she continued down until she reached the second floor.

It was curious, but not very much so; she was not mad at Victor and only hoped his family was alright. If the petite woman had any concerns though, it was carefully hidden under a calm expression. Looking around at the second floor, she saw nothing amiss and with a shrug, Syn carefully made her way down to the main floor; luckily without injury. Once she was at the bottom of the steps, Miss Valafar would look around again until she spotted the young woman that had entered her store and quietly made her way over.
"Hello, is there something in particular you are looking for today?" She inquired politely when she was beside the taller female.

Darya smiled as she heard the voice of the shop keeper behind her. In truth, she could not find what she was looking for at the moment, and the shopkeeper would have the best knowledge on if the book was even carried. That, and she would be able to meet Victor's new employer for herself. She could get a better measure of her. Her priority first was finding that poison book however. She turned to face the smaller woman, a perfectly innocent smile on her face as she did. "Why hello miss. Yes, I am looking for a book on poisons. I need it to take care of a vermin problem we seem to have, and the knowledge of poisonous ingredients is always useful so I do not accidentally poison any house guests. Where would I find such a book, if you carry one?" Her tone was cheerful, and as she finished her inquiry with a small laugh. Though the laugh and words themselves were innocent, her mind was not. She did not lie however. She would use the poison to kill a vermin, and she would never want to poison house guests accidentally. Whether or not Miss Valafar had it in stock or would get the book, she would pause momentarily before she continued speaking. "Oh, I seemed to have forgot my manners Miss. I am Darya, as Victor told you I would sometimes fill in for him. It is a pleasure to meet you." She would say in an equally sweet and pleasant voice. She had no qualms with this human, as it seemed she had no interest in her dear Victor and kept a professional distance from him. Should that change...then she would respond appropriately. For now though, she would not hamper their source of income.

During this time her eyes would calmly take in all the details she could of Miss Valafar. She was quite short in stature, though not entirely unremarkable physically. She also would be considered attractive by regular human standards, but still in no way in league with herself. All in all, she did not seem much of a threat, and her hair would be an easy way to keep her in line should the need arise. 'Or the stairs.' She thought happily, noting how often she fell down them. In fact, it was perfectly conceivable with how often she did it would be viewed as an accident if she broke her neck from the fall. Darya was finding Victor's current job perfect. They got the money they needed, their employer kept her distance from Victor, and if the need arose she could easily dispose of her. She kept a small smile on her face from the thought. Thinking again on why she wanted the poison book, she quickly spoke again. "Oh, i'm terribly sorry for Ragna calling while Victor was at work. It will not happen again." She would say. And it would not. She would make sure Ragna would never forget that.

Syndel was not phased by the request of a book of poisons; she's had novice writers come in and ask before. She had a feeling that this woman had intentions that were not so innocent though. As her dark grey eyes looked up at the woman, Syndel gave a gentle smile. "I see. Well, I do have one, but it's a how-dun-it for writers if you're interested," She replied politely before holding out her hand to shake Darya's, should she wish after she introduced herself as her employee. As she felt the woman's exploratory gaze, she too took in the woman's appearance; the transformation was fascinating. Confident, jealous-type, but pretty and tall; may be trouble in future. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Darya," She said kindly but sincere, though should the woman take hers she'd feel a gentle yet firm and confident handshake that felt like it was from ice.

Should she refuse the handshake, Syn would simply pull her hand away and slip on her gloves before continuing.
"I hope you and Victor will enjoy working here." Good Reads was a professional work environment after all, and she wanted to keep it that way; romance had no place in the workplace. Once subject turned to Victor's family member, Ragna, and apologizing for it which she found odd. "It's truly alright, family is important. I hope he's doing better. As for today, we close around 4 this evening. Until then, the shelves need to be dusted and there's a few calls that need to be made to Roger's, the number and list of November's best sellers that we need to order is by the phone on the counter. Just let me know when you're finished, I'll be in my office." She may have given a light warning, but she was sure to be fair as she set Darya on tasks so as to start the business day. With that out of the way, should everything be alright, the young shop owner would slightly nod before heading back upstairs to get to start her call meeting with the door closed.

Darya listened as the shopkeeper spoke, somewhat disappointed as she heard the answer. There appeared to be no applicable poison book for what she desired. 'No matter. There are always other methods.' she would think to herself. In fact, it was almost even worse for him she couldn't find any here. She would need to improvise once there, and improvisation usually meant a slower death. Her smile would remain on her face as she thought of it. A minor setback, nothing that would disrupt her plans. As she said it was a pleasure and stuck out her hand, Darya did the same though she did not typically do such things. She usually used an alternative form of greeting that did not involve contact, but given this was Victor and hers new employment, she would merely go with it. As she went through the motion, she found the handshake to be surprisingly firm for one so small and another curious sensation. 'She is either dead, or there is something else to her.' Darya thought to herself, feeling the hand as if it were ice. It likely had something to do with her curse, but she wasn't quite sure what hers was yet. While some were obvious, there were also subtle ones. Darya's own handshake was much less firm and more gentle, her not putting too much power to her hands and not desiring to have her hand frozen from the motions.

Darya's eyes watched as Valafar's hand would retreat into a glove. She wondered if it were merely for style or because of what she felt earlier from her hand. She pushed the thought from her mind for now, still plotting Ragna's demise. She would smile as she wished them an enjoyable work environment. She was nice. 'Far too nice she thought to herself. It was very easy for people like that to be taken advantage of or be mislead. Which worked well in Darya's case. Still, it did not seem to be an issue for now. If the time came she would deal with it. For now, as Miss Valafar kept speaking, she would need to work. Smiling in acknowledgement to her, Darya would first get to work in dusting the bookshelves, starting from the second floor and working her way down. The process, because of her meticulous nature, would take several hours to do by her estimation, so she began with her plan of doing it on the second floor first. This way the dust would travel to the ground floor and was the most efficient method in cleaning, as she would have to dust the lower floor bookshelves anyway.

Once she finished her task, she would move on to calling for the books that were needed. It was a simple task as she went about the list, and finishing much faster than her first task, she would happily walk up the stairs to Miss Valafars office, knocking on the door to tell her she was done.
