Don't beat them up too bad

He didn't understand that, they were all enemies weren't they? Enemies should beat up enemies until they learned the errors of their ways. Whatever, he would continue to follow his dutiful and benevolent Captain. Pausing as the thicket of trees came into view. He remembered this part well, it was here, that all of his troubles had come to fruition. on this patch of Sky island that his world was turned upside down. Where Cezar won, and succeeded inc rumbling the infrastructure of his life. Asche helped, but he didn't know he did. So there was no point in being mad at him. Besides, Cezar was dead now, at least he hoped she was. He had all of his memories back, and all of the heartache that came along with it. He would overlook the ruins, the place where the fire started and Asche's father perished. To the spot where he had shot a guard dead with a single bullet. Cezar or not, he should have been strong enough to best her. But in mind he was still a young child, there wasn't much he could do in a game of wits with an adult. He was good at hitting stuff, but that was just about it.

                                                                        'King.'

His eyes lifted, pausing a moment with his thoughts. Shaking them off to notice the Shandians swarming their position. Well, perhaps not swarming, they weren't quite on the verge of attacking. More like hiding, waiting in anticipation to see what the two would do. If they did anything at all, Adrian didn't seem too keen on fighting, but everything in Riven's being was telling him to throw a punch. "Yeh, I get that, still kinda dull tho." He leaned back, wrapping his hands behind his head, allowing the fingers to intertwine. His Haki scanning the numbers around them, or rather their strengths. Even compared to Adrian the crowd was nothing, maybe he was just bullying them. Still, he really felt like he wanted to hit something. Repressing his anger to hold onto his child like demeanor would probably backfire at some point. Hopefully not right now. Not that he actually worried about things like that.

Odd, the evil the Marines always told you about Pirates, it wasn't always so. Sure, taking over Skypeia was inherently a bad thing. Because they weren't the World Government, but if the people of Skypeia are safe under your banner does it really matter. If the Pirates fought so hard to protect their friends, how could they be evil. Because they beat up anyone hurting their friends. They broke into prisons and jails to save those they cared about. Someone like Riven, couldn't even be visited once in a years time. He messed up once, there was no shaking that fact, even if he had no control. He messed up, and everyone he wanted to come for him never showed not once. His eyes began to well up with water.

'No one came to help me ...' He could feel a stiffness on the bridge of his nose, bleeding into the bottom of his eye lids. Stinging, until he blunk and the well was let loose. His small pale face was flooded with water. He did his best to hold back his cries, much like he did at Impel Down. The Marines were nice like this once, as long as you were always good. You never made a mistake, you never did anything out of line. You obeyed every order. You died when they said and lived when they were kind enough to let you. But mess up, he never knew that wasn't allowed. That anything outside of perfection was intolerable. Even for Oshino and Shio. "URRRAAAAGH!!" His body dashed full speed, the feeling had boiled inside of him again, that he just wanted to hit something. He blew passed Adrian and into the Shandians that stood in front of him. At once their bodies went flying from sheer force. Tumbling and breaking into broken walls of the Shandian ruins.

'PIRATES DUN CARE ABOUT THAT!" His sharpened gaze stared forward, to the resting place of the Shandians previous God. The fire marks were prevalent there. And slowly he made his way, knocking passed anyone that got in his way. he fell onto his knees, folding his legs so that they lay under him. Hands resting upon his thighs, shoulders shaking. No, that couldn't be, because if Pirates felt this way ... Then were the Marines good? Why did no one come to help him when he needed it most. When his dream was in jeopardy, there were definitely people strong enough to come to his rescue.

                                                                        So ... Where ... Were ... They ...

1224/2000 words towards territory claim for Red Veil Pirates

"I've always wanted to.." His sentence was forcefully cut short when a burst of speed allowed his first mate to fly by. Adrian's left eyebrow rose and he question the kids gusto at times like these. Sure, Adrian was the one who was constantly talking about battles and fighting, but it was the first mate who was the one who kept rushing forward in order to introduce his fist to those around. On one hand, it was amusing. On the other, the captain was itching for a fight himself and was really trying to let out some of his own steam. The man could only shrug as he moved forward himself. Stepping over the fallen Shandians, Adrian would take a look around and try to follow his comrade's movements. "A pirate's life is determined by nobody but themselves." It came out rather randomly, though it did qualify as an appropriate retort towards the kids words. "And this pirate?" He pointed to himself even though he doubted his first mate would look back at him any time soon. "This pirate likes when his enemies can come back stronger." That most likely sounded stupid to anyone who heard. Who in there right mind would ever want their enemies to come back even more powerful than when they were defeated? Adrian was such a man. Wild in a sense where he understood what came with strength. A desire to prove themselves against the very thing that put them down in the first place. To him, it was a cultivation of power. To Adrian, he was providing himself with future entertainment. Sure, it may come at a price, but nothing worth it was ever free.

"And again.. once we own these places, they become one of us. While not pirates, they are still a part of our crew." He was not opposed to fights within the crew, but he was opposed to bullying within it. You fight those who can give you a challenge. You fight those who you think you can have fun against. You fight those who want to fight you back. These people here? They were just defending themselves. The initial beating would be their own faults, but nothing beyond that was necessary. Fortunately, Red Veil's First Mate caught on quick or at the very least felt obligated to listen to his captain.. a little bit. After his leisurely stroll forward, Adrian would finally make it to the side of his companion. He would place his hand on the lowered and shaking shoulder of his first mate. "You okay?" It was kind of weird to see the boy shaken up so quickly. Something crazy must have happened in this place in order to make this guy act this way. Adrian's hand lifted from the boy before he turned around and faced any of the left over Shandian who thought they could take advantage of the situation. The captain did not rush forward, but simply stood there and glared. Regardless of what the kid was doing or feeling at this time, Adrian would give him time to process it all. "We are basically done here, so whenever you are ready.." He ended his words there as he eyed anyone else who decided they wanted to test him. A part of him wanted that to happen. He wanted someone to rush forward just so that he could knock them out. Yet, he also felt that fighting during this time would not be wise. His heat was.. .limited.

He hated how weird this man talked, who spoke to other people like that. He was like, trying to sound better than everyone. Like he was just above it all. And he hated that, but somehow wished he could be the same. He was strong sure, he fought well, but he just wanted to be apart of something bigger. And this two man Pirate Crew wasn't exactly it. Still, where else was he going to go with no place to return to. "Stop lying!" he barked into the ground, fighting the tears so they could stop pouring. He wanted to be a Marine so bad ... but he didn't know why. It seemed wrong didn't it, to want to be somewhere you weren't wanted. Even if he apologized as nicely as he could. Well, he couldn't even get the chance. Big important Gorosei Oshino couldn't be bothered to come see the son who he shared no blood with.

"Why does it matter if they aren't strong?! They can't do anything to help!" He was a lot like this in the Marines too, willing to go it alone. All of the other Marines were lazy, because they were slower. They were too scared, they never wanted to stop the Pirates. Always trying to help people by doing nothing to stop the criminals rampaging. THAT WAS DUMB. "Don't touch me." he spun, smacking the hand away. Glaring through tear stained eyes, the light pink had slowly begun to turn red before they settled once more. His vision shuffled before looking down. "I'm fine, I'm Unstoppable." His hands went back into his pockets, keeping his head low so that his bangs covered his eyes. He walked slowly, beyond the patch of Shandians. Watching as they split themselves for the young lord to pass through. "Yeah ... I'm ready ..." He spoke, sniffling a bit, the last remnants of tears would adorn his cheeks. He was too young to deal with this, his mind never got the chance to develop. To deal with this level of abandonment.

2148/2000 words towards territory claim for Red Veil Pirates

Unstoppable. That seemed like a good thing to aim for. Yet, Adrian felt that if you created an unstoppable version of yourself, you would also create a version of yourself that would end up with the inability to stop others. Everything was give out take in this world and nothing ever came without a price. Take Ahn, for example. That was the fight that Adrian felt most alive in. Yet, here he was not on a war path to find her again, but instead building an empire to some unknown end. Strength? Power? It was not truly about either of those. All in all, it was always the freedom to do battle with others. The enjoyment of exchanging blows with someone of near equal experience. "If you say so.." His mind traveled down to his hands. As he walked forward, he would try one of his old techniques in order to feel the heat again. Nothing happened. He could only walk on with an uneasy expression.
