Angry, and very much out for blood this time, Komachi would swing as hard as she could, fully intending to slice this damn alcohol wasting b***h in half. As her right arm swung past, the b***h ducked under the blade as she looked down, her left arm was very much pulled in towards her own torso as she watched the girl lunch up, trying to uppercut her this time. Just before it connected though, Komachi's left hand got in the way, catching that weird a** wax glove thing in her palm, body sliding back slightly along the sand from the force as she smirked, hand shaking as they stayed locked for a moment. "I'll make sure you regret being born~" She promised with her insane grin as Xandria would notice her wax glove starting losing color in Komachi's hand as she started sapping the moisture in it, drying it out and turning it into sand like dust in her grip, her hand getting closer to Xandria's own fleshy hand underneath if she stayed in close. However, in that moment, a second attack came in from the side, slamming into her cheek again as this b***h had an issue with aiming for the face. Komachi took it, her dehydration ending as her right wrist flicked itself quickly as she was hit. She started moving back to her own left. But then her foot regained balance as she spit out some blood and smirked, swinging her arm back as she had flipped about the facing of her scythe, this time slashing outwards at the girl who was so close and practically against the handle that she would almost surely be sliced by the underside of the razor edged weapon.

After the fight in Orange Town, it came to a halt after a marine ship entered Orange town. It was a stalemate between the pirate and Xandria. She was still a green horn and didn't have what it took for her to take down the pirate, since when the marines entered the town the pirate ran off without her having the chance to stop them. She tried to but she dropped to one knee exhausted from the fight, as marines started to pour into the town helping the towns people and such. When the Captain entered Xandria quickly stood up as she saluted at him and the marine looked at her and saluted back saying. "Ah you must be young Chore Girl Xandria." Xandria nodded saying. "Yes sir, my name is Xandria Aytolis sir." The captain looked at the young marine girl as she would nod saying. "You don't have further orders, continue what you were doing earlier....what was that you were doing Aytolis?" Xandria put her hand down and stood at attention and answered. "I was on a patrol in this town, until a pirate raided a pub here. I was fighting the pirate until your ship arrive and now here we are sir." Xandria answered truthfully as the captain nodded saying. "Well you have no further orders from me, continue your patrol here and you may leave whenever you like. We were told of some trouble here in this town but it looks like it was taken care of, also Aytolis don't take this as a loss but a learning experience you are still a Chore Girl so you have much to learn so do not worry too much of this. Now you are dismissed." Xandria nodded as she would salute one more time then turn around to leave, she first went to the pub to visit the girl and the others who had helped her. Walking up to the girl the girl came to her happily, but Xandria was the first to take a bow at her saying. "Thank you for assisting me earlier, young girl, you have helped me out very well. Without your help I wouldn't of been able to fight her off." The girl shook her head saying. "Oh no no but it was because of you that we are safe and alive instead of that husk over there." Xandria smiled and nodded. "Yes but this was a team effort and you helped us out well. Is there anything else can do for you?" Xandria asked as the girl looked at the pub manager and looked back at Xandria nodding. "Well before you came and the pirate we were just a small town, we could of been attacked by another pirate and be at the mercy of them, if we had some more protection here it would be nice." Xandria heard what she said as she would tap her chin and answered. "Hm maybe we can set up an outpost here in town and some marines on duty here as guards, you just help us out on locating some pirates here. We will reimburse you of your troubles here and help you out. I apologize for the troubles that happened here and we will all help you." Taking another bow she ran back over to the lieutenant and saluted to him as she said. "Chore Girl Xandria Aytolis sir, I was wondering if we were able to reimburse them and help them out there?" The lieutenant looked at Xandria and nodded saying. "Yes we can do that, this raid was rather small so we can help them out however we can, just lead us in the right direction, do you know where?" Xandria nodded as she said. "Yes over at the pub over there, here I will take you there." The lieutenant nodded as he took five men with him to the pub, upon arriving Xandria looked at the girl and the husk in their pub, the lieutenant looked at the husk and said. "No hes not dead, but he will be if not treated, you there get some water quickly." the marines nodded and went off to get some water then started to treating him back quickly, with the help with water he was starting to come back. The girl then went over and hugged Xandria thanking her as Xandria smiled back and hugged her back saying. "The marines here will help you out here, but I must return to the marine base to turn in my report, but I will return someday and visit you." with that Xandria gave one more bow and a salute as she went back to her boat and sailed back to the marine base. Despite being named Orange Town, Mollywhop realized as she trudged along that she wasn’t seeing very much in terms of orange. Neither the color nor the fruit. Granted, she was much more familiar with the former rather than the latter. The mermaid had never eaten an orange before. They weren’t typically something one might find at the bottom of the sea. Orange crabs, maybe, but not oranges. Not much fruit at all, really. As such, Rehalith had insisted that the mermaid’s predicament be remedied immediately and that her tastebuds be properly baptized in orange juice.

So far, however, Orange Town was proving to be an overwhelming disappointment and Mollywhop was beginning to feel horribly misled. She glanced over her shoulder, back down to the zombie trailing several steps behind her. Her frown deepened as they left the docks, approaching the nearby marketplace… Which was proving to be equally devoid of fruits named after colors. This was the exact opposite of what she had been expecting. A true and proper bamboozling.

Slanderous lies of the absolute highest order. How a town named Orange Town not be inundated with the citrusy fruit itself, Rehalith would never understand. Unfortunately she was being forced to come to terms with such a fact, rapidly and with great force, as with every corner they turned and every market stall they approached the duo found not even a trace of the fruits, let alone the juice of one. It was a stymieing fact to come face to face with. It was shortly after their seventeenth stall that Rehalith looked up to see her friend and companion glancing back, a look of disappointment plain on her face. Shaking her head to the negative, indicating her own lack of success in finding the fruit in question Rehalith took one final glance around, hoping against hope that they would find some hint as to the whereabouts of the tart snack. Alas it was simply not meant to be and Rehalith would be forced into doing what she hated more than anything; asking for assistance.

Brushing her hand along Mollywhop's arm the dark gazed woman indicated the fishwoman should wait here for her, just a moment, before quickly walking to one of the many standing stalls.

"This one wonders if perhaps the fine merchant before her could direct her to a place of business where she could acquire orange juice, or perhaps the fruit itself." A voice soft from lack of use and her strange way of speaking had the merchant confused before they lifted a finger and pointed towards a large seeming building near the center of town.

Rehalith gave a deep bow before turn and walking back to her friend. "The fine merchant has indicated that this one and her companion should head to the large building in the middle of the town. Time perhaps may be of the essence, judging by the lack of the fruit in this inaccurately named town this one thinks that perhaps they are sold quickly." With her piece spoken Rehalith turned and began leading them towards the large mansion like building in the middle of the town.

Mollywhomp stood by idly as her companion conversed with the merchant. Rehalith always had a rather roundabout way of speaking, but the Mermaid didn’t much mind. Perhaps it was because the Deep Sea had its own bevy of strange speech patterns or dialects. Nevertheless, despite everything, the doctor was still more pleasant on her ears than most of the fish she had encountered in her lifetime. Eventually, the conversation directed them towards a rather large manor at the center of town. It was tall and dark and loomed over the surrounding buildings like a reef jutting out of the water during a low tide.

A fence of dark iron encircled the manner, and near the front gate, a bronze plaque marked the abode as the Gangplank Estate. Of course to someone like Mollywhop the name meant absolutely nothing. The only detail that seemed to be prevalent here was the fact that this was where the oranges were, and neither Mollywhop nor Rehalith had a penchant for leaving empty-handed. Mollywhop didn’t have her heart set on acquiring an orange, but she knew the look in Rehalith’s eyes all too well. They were getting their oranges.

Thus, Mollywhop did what she did best. She drew back an arm and formed a fist that was larger than Rehalith’s head before she slammed it into the front gate of the estate. The structure was metal, but thinner than the surrounding fence - more for style and form than function. A single punch didn’t demolish it, but fortunately for Mollywhop, she had two fists as the second blow knocked the gate own, the metal crumpled and malformed. Then, she lowered her arm and gestured to the doctor as if to say ‘After you.’

The clang and crash of malformed metal hitting nicely stoned walk was like a symphony to Rehalith's ears. A small smile perked her lips and she looked towards Molly with a nod of thanks as the much larger woman stepped aside and gestured for her to enter first. Rehalith stepped carefully over the now fallen mangled gate and entered the Gangplank Estates as the bronze plaque had called their current locale. It seemed that the guards were slow to react, as Rehalith walked through the entrance and right up to the door without being accosted or even so much as looked at. With a deft hand she swung the door inward and was greeted very swiftly by a cacophony of sound, seemingly coming from somewhere within the manse.

With a confused looked to Molly the woman continued further into the home, following the source of the cheering people and joy filled cries. It didn't take long before the duo would be greeted by a large hall, filled with people in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry. Neither of those simple things caught the young seeming doctor's eye however, no, her eyes wee glued to a table, in the middle fo the room. It was a collage of oranges, from a burnt pumpkin orange to a bright vibrant and nearly neon orange. Drinks and food of all the rainbow of orange filled the table to overflowing. Surrounding it were the crowd of nobility, with a single tall man at the head, dark hair and grizzled features. The man stood, giving some speech that Rehalith couldn't hear over the laughter filling the room. Glancing around the room and then back towards her companion Rehalith frowned. "This one thinks perhaps we should part the puffed up peacocks of their fine fruits. This one's mother always informed her that sharing was caring and thinks perhaps that sharing with the village, after taking a share of course would prove to be a most enjoyable way to spend this one's afternoon, and perhaps even evening should the fun last long enough. Do you agree, Molly?"

And there they were: oranges.

Someone had taken the time to painstakingly arrange the banquet table by color and hue from bright orange to darker, burnt shades. For just a moment, Mollywhop was reminded vaguely of autumn. Then someone screamed, which immediately slit the throat of the jovial mood, as screams tended to do.

”A MONSTER!”

It took Mollywhop a moment to realize the shout was directed at her, and it hadn’t occurred to her until she saw a woman in a fanciful gown pointing up at her with a shaking finger. Other shouts rang through the crowd as the members of the dinner party grew increasingly aware of their uninvited guests. Someone beyond Molly’s sight called for the guards and soon enough, they arrived, storming in in shiny uniforms and shinier guns and blades. This seemed to be an awful lot of trouble to go through for a table full of fruit. Then again, Mollywhop wasn’t too familiar with the ways of landlubbers. Perhaps it was natural to defend one’s fruit with such vigor.

“Leave at once!” One of the guards bellowed, which Mollywhop considered to be a futile request since she had just gone through the trouble of demolishing the gate. She stared back, her eyes obscured by her hair that seemed to be almost perpetually wet, clinging to her face like seaweed during the low tide. Then, a shuffle of movement caused her to turn back to the terrified partygoers. The bearded man that had been giving a speech had shoved himself to the front of the group with a cutlass in one hand and an orange in the other. Without a word, he sank his teeth into the orange, through the peel. There was a misty spray from the fruit as he tore out a juicy mouthful, letting the sweet fluids run down his chin and wick through his beard.

It occurred to Mollywhop that she had severely underestimated how much people loved oranges, and that made her all the more curious to try them.

“Scurvy wretches… Did you think you could just waltz in here uninvited?” The burly, surly man rumbled. “I can have you both flayed just for being here in my domain.” He directed his blade towards the pair. “Perhaps I should. That’ll show the rest of this town what I do to tresspa- AUGH!”

It was difficult to determine what was louder: the man’s shout, or the wooden chair that exploded as soon as it hit his body and knocked him off of his feet.

Mollywhop remained where she stood, her arm outstretched and the table she stood beside now one chair less. She stared at the man. She stared at the doctor. She stared at the oranges.

Then she grabbed another throwing chair.

Then the man at the back said "EVERYONE ATTACK!" and it turned into a ballroom blitz.

The cry of monster was the beginning of the show, so to speak. A woman wearing a dress likely to cost more than it was truly worth screamed like a young boy with scraped knee seeking his mother, right down to the over exaggerated trembling lip, this time as a finger pointing towards Molly. Little frown lines appeared, marring Rehalith's otherwise marble skin, as she made a mental note to make sure that woman specifically didn't find their way home. Of course her plans of gruesome punishment were briefly brought to a halt as the grizzled man, who once was giving a speech stepped forward, seemingly finding courage in his own nobility and position. It was strange how he seemed to think something so intangible could protect him. The guards on the other hand? Hose could protect him, but apparently not from flying wooden furniture meant to be sat upon. The cracking of the wood as it made impact had Rehalith cataloging the potential injuries the grizzled noble could have gotten from the improvised projectile before she noticed the looks Molly was sparing the room at large.

"This one would greatly appreciate if her friend Molly could handle the ten poorly equipped guards on the right side of the room while this one handles the remainder. Upon finishing that job, this one recommends the swift acquisition of the fruit we came to find, after which absconding seems the wisest choice of actions, to this one." Words spoken even as she watched the approaching horde of guards, quietly, quickly almost as if she had done just this exact thing before. With a nod towards Molly, and a smile of anticipation, Rehalith stepped forward into the oncoming guards, obviously being far too well for how lazy they had been before.

Deft fingers, covered in small scars drew a very finely cared for blade from within the billowing clothes sheathing the woman's form. A dagger that shined in the light of the room was presented and suddenly the group of guards were a bit more cautious, those with weapons of the more direct sort eyeing their comrades holding guns as if to say it was their job now.

Smile still in place Rehalith did what any still somewhat marginally sane being would do; she positioned her back to the crowd of cowering aristocrats. As risky move to present her back to a room of enemies, but it made firing a gun so much more risky. It was at this point that Rehalith began moving forward, towards the now somewhat nervous guards, none of the overpaid fools wanted to be first into the fray. Rehalith took the choice from them, moving forward with a few quick steps and slashing low. Wounds to the stomach with a knife might not be instantly life threatening, but they were definitely an inconvenience to the continuation of a fight. Two quick, well-placed cuts and the pale doctor retreated a couple steps, flicking her dagger towards the other guards, spraying blood at eyes to distract. Galvinized into action by the woman before them, the guards engaged, those with the weapons of brutes following after her swift retreat and those with exploding sticks for weapons, aiming down their sights.

Booms and screams made an orchestra's worth of sounds as Rehalith continued to position people between herself and the guns. Shouted curses could be heard from the contingent of cowardice that had suddenly found their backbone. Of course that was their mistake as Rehalith swiftly proved over the next several moments. A cut here, a stab there and very quickly the guards were backing away from the woman before them. All this she managed as her mind quickly played out each step of her little dance carefully. Of course not everything was predictable. Take the fool who had just fired a gun at her despite the nobles behind her. One lucky shot had the woman looking down at her own stomach, metal lodged inside her. A curious sensation. Slim, scarred fingers slid down to the new orifice in her body, sliding inside to quickly pluck it free from her form and hold it up before the guards, all without so much as a wince. Blood drained from faces in horror as they watched the otherwise seemingly normal woman pluck a bullet from a still bleeding wound. Resolve broke and the guards turned and fled, quickly followed by whichever nobles had seen her little display. Rehalith turned to look back towards her friend, Molly and was glad to see large woman's fight ending.

"This one thinks perhaps it would be wise to make haste for our prize and then seek fresher seas. The guards were inadequate, but others may find more success. This one would also like to find a place to clean up as she finds the sensation of blood on her skin to be a most distasteful feeling." A quick walk towards the orangy table started even as her words did, paying the screaming and fleeing nobles no mind as they made their own hasty exits.

Mollywhop listened as the doctor divvied up their responsibilities, and she then lifted her head to glance over a her assignment. For a woman with eight tentacles and two beefy arms, ten guards was just the perfect amount to keep her properly occupied. Thus, she shifted, her tentacles bending like the legs of a predator ready to pounce before she launched herself forward, an airborne maelstrom of limbs. She barreled into the ten guards, tearing through their ranks like a tiger through a nursery. Each limb was given a target and she required no further aid than that.

It was difficult to tell which was the worse fate: getting caught within the coils of Molly’s mammoth tentacles or getting slugged by the battering rams that were her fists. Soon enough, a great deal more than just chairs were broken. Bodies were left crumpled and limp as deflated balloons and within a few short minutes, ten guards lay in a loose circle around the titanic kraken. It was perhaps just around then that Rehalith spoke up, announcing that it was time to poke on. Noticing the blood, Molly felt inclined to agree.

She knew a single bullet would do little to harm Rehalith, but there was little reason to push their luck. Thus, she forded through the sea of broken guards and furniture, using the corners of the table cloth to cobble together most of the oranges in an impressive sack that she swung over one shoulder. Then, they were off, marching back the way they had come and back into the streets. Molly watched as fleeing nobles encountered a rising tide of jeering commoners. People were chanting, but she made no effort to try and make out what they were saying. It seemed as if there was a revolution afoot as they progressed back to their ships.

The unfeeling doctor's hand would disappear into her billowing cloak for a moment before pulling free a backpack and walking to the table overloaded with orange product. Quickly she stuffed the pack full of oranges before sliding it back into place under her cloak. Glancing to her companion and then once more to the table still groaning with citrusy booty, Rehalith reached forth and plucked a single orange from the table before tossing it to Molly. "The goal has been achieved. This one is strongly of the opinion that it is time to seek out a place to hide within the village somewhere and enjoy the bounty of the work that has just been completed." Without any further ado Rehalith followed her words and led the way out fo the manse and back into the afternoon light that was beginning to slowly set over the ocean below them. Picking a careful path through the streets Rehalith led the duo to a small building within the city, seemingly empty and mostly rundown. She scurried in through an old busted window before waiting for her friend join her inside. Once they had both found their little safe haven, Rehalith sat and pulled her satchel from her coat once more. It was time to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

The orange that Rehalith had tossed to Molly was quickly added to the treasury of citrus that the giant hefted over one shoulder. With that, they were off. She let the doctor take point as she listened to the sounds of conflict grow distant and muffled as they put more and more buildings between them and the not so humble abode that they had just visited. Then, once a cozy little hideaway had been picked out, Mollywhop set down the massive tablecloth-sack containing their prize, letting the miniature mountain of oranges tumble and spread into all directions.

Mollywhop picked up one of the fruit: a bright orange one. Then she sank her teeth into it, tearing away a dripping mouthful, skin and all.

She didn’t much care for the skin, but the juice was proving to be delicious. Suddenly, she could understand exactly why this little fruit was so highly coveted.

The mountainous pile of citrus tumbled over the sack turned tablecloth. Rehalith watched her friend bite into the fruit like it was to be eaten in bites in such a manner and let out a small giggle. "No, Mollywhop. You must peel the orange free of its rind before you consume it. Like so." As she spoke she lifted one of the orange's before her and quickly stripped it in a single long peel. Carefully she broke the fruit apart and handed a single segment to Mollywhop before taking one for herself. Slowly savoring the tasty little morsel the undead doctor paid no mind to the alarms and shouting outside their little hiding spot. Time passed with the duo enjoying the spoils of their little adventure. After their meal had been almost completely consumed, Rehalith stood and glanced around for a moment, a content smile on her face. "This one thinks perhaps now would be an optimal time to make an escape. Another blue would be the safest location for us to abscond to."

The ship happened to hit the shore really hard, and while it was already rocky from the corals below, Masae had a hard time regaining her balance. She kept stumbling, and ultimately fell off the ship ever so gracefully and landed softly in the sand. She rubbed her butt, and stood up, brushing off the sand as some stuck to her thighs and calves. The maiden walked around the debris, inspecting closely to see how and what kind of damage was done. Her eyes caught onto someone waving at her, then at fallen guards. Blood. Too much blood. Masae ran over, and looked around at the pool of guards. Many were in critical, and those with minor injuries had already ben tended to. The Marine pulled up her skirt to reveal a few basic first aid anesthesia in small syringes. She injected each guard with this, just to calm their minds. What came next was more than heartbreaking. Broken bones were repositioned, tunicates were made, and the most gruesome of all, she had to find body parts and put them in ice-filled containers to keep them alive while she helped the guards over to the surgical tent, where many doctors were busy at work. Her body was splattered and tainted with blood, but needless to say, the maiden continued her work and kept stabilizing each patient,

“ 200 grams of metoprolol! We need to stabilize his heart rate!”

She yelled out over one patient who was dying from excessive bleeding. Masae stuck her own finger - mind you she’s wearing gloves - against the vein to stop the bleeding. She had to stay like they before someone gave her a clamp. Masae moved on to someone else…the others were aristocrats. They didn’t have armor on them like the guards…which proved more than fatal. A woman had metal lodged inside of her, and she had passed by the time medics arrived. The others…They were also dying. Masae took a step back as the other nurses and doctors rushed around her. Her clothes, stained with a mix of people blood, was a perfect representation of the outcome of pirates. She looked up, at Azusa, and shook her head,

                                                  “ I can’t… I can’t save them. Their injuries…”

She managed, her voice cracking as she tried to talk. After a moment, she began to cry. Sniffling, she went over to the deceased and covered their bodies in white. Doing this as quickly as she could, the doctor ended up going back to other patients, praying that they would make it. How could someone just crush their bones knowing they were weaker? She could understand throwing and punching...but to crush and cripple these hard working citizens? It broke her heart.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTheme: Blue Bird (Remix)

                                                                              And so the journey continued.

There had been a distress call and another raid. Orange Town had been destroyed and those responsible were no where to be found. After very brief introductions and words with his follow Marines, he and Masae split from the group. He didn't know much about the inner workings of Marines, but the Wanosian man had prided himself on his combat and strategic knowledge. He found it best to train with a single person at a time so he could give them his undivided attention.

Their ship came in hot. The flooring beneath them shake as their boat tossed about. Azusa managed to maintain his balance but it appeared that his partner was not so lucky. Seeing as she lost her footing, the oddly dressed man reached out to grab Masae before she could fall but only managed to graze her finger tips. Seeing her land into the sand he cooed, figuring that she hadn't died. Once their ship stopped he leapt from over its railing and calm to a solid landing into the sand, bending his knees to help with the impact.
"Ah, you are alright. Good." He stated once the woman stood and brushed herself off.

Upon gazing out towards the war torn town Azusa gave a deep sigh. Disemboweled bodies, blood, those still alive were gravely injured. The man said nothing, death was nothing new to him. Food and music wouldn't be enough to lift the spirits of those who were left. He'd aid where he could, trying to help Masae revive a man but their efforts were futile. Eventually back up arrived, those trained in the medical field. While they were better equipped than the pair had been it was difficult to save everyone. While disheartened, Azusa retained his stoic face, he never allowed himself express his emotions as they served as a hindrance to him. However, seeing how heartbroken Masae was made the man glance away.

With a sigh a approached her. He knew that there wasn't much that he could do but there was something. Helping the woman back to her feet he'd embrace her with one arm while the other reached into his jacket to pull out a long flute crafted from bamboo.
"Dry your tears, child, for all those lost in battle shall all return home." He hushed. For a moment he shut his eyes and rose the flute to his lips. A peaceful chime sounded through its gaps, the air carried the birth of his angelic tune. His body was enveloped with an aura of deep blue, its influence stretching through the skies and enveloping the bodies around them. The souls of the deceased we able to pass on in peace, those standing at Death's Door stabilized, their conditions made less severe. Masae among the others present, doctors included, could feel their panic and despair lifting from their wavering hearts.

As his tune ended everything had become peaceful again. Those aiding in there construction would find clarity within their minds and vigor in their bodies. For an instant the semi-exposed tattoo that stretched along the left side of his body shimmered and burned bright before dimming in conjunction with his opening eyes. The man cooed as a few strands of once black hair open his buried turned to an ashen gray. Placing a hand atop Masae's head he'd smile, patting her while his gaze shot down to her.

                                                                              "Are you better now?"

Masae shook her head, trying her best not to think about it, but the such hit home for her. She hated reimbursing, because it mainly reminded her on a daily basis on what happened all those years ago. She wasn’t just mourning the lives lost, but the families whom would have to deal with these losses. The maiden sat there, waiting for her clothes to dry, but mainly listening to the tune that Azusa played. It was wonderful, and the melody seemed to pick up the restlessness among the place. As she listened, her heart calmed, but as she listened, she grew more determined,

“I’m okay…but…We need to arrest pirates… I know it will take time, but the blue is on fire…and this will just continue.”

She murmured, looking back at the patients struggling to live. A nurse walked over and handed her her clothes. Masae excused herself to go change, returning to his side once she was completely dressed,

“ Where should we go…and what should we do?”
