User ImageNicky was doing her best not to be terribly shy about showing up to her great grandmother's party. This was her first time to one, and her mother hadn't ever really told her what happened at these things. Sure, there was the hilarious Baliel next to her as a tour guide and complimentary entertainment, but would this be weird. Seriously, her parents had gotten married at the last one!

"I think Venus will be furious if we wind up in some icky marsh. Maybe we'll wind up on a really nice sunny beach or something?" Leave it to Baliel to get her mind off worrying if anyone would recognize her. Or if anyone would care. "Ooooh, maybe we'll land somewhere in a river?" The ideas were endless.

Junior nodded in agreement. Chances were, if they ran into his family, they could all get out unscathed. It was a romantic getaway, who wanted to meet up with family when there was time to be had with that special someone? "I'm sure we'll all just pretend like it didn't happen. His eyes flicked up to her. That was a giggle he didn't have the chance to hear very often. He liked it. "We follow the pink thing, if you laugh like that for me again~" His eyebrows waggled, attempting to elicit a response laugh from her.

"A beach eh...?" He wondered what kind of shenanigans he could get in on that. He smirked at a thought. "Would you pretend to be a shark with me? Be my partner in crime on this cruise?" He had to switch gears with a river. His mind was constantly thinking up of perfect pranks to play on pae. "Mmmm...River could be fun. We could start floating pae's packs downstream!" Unimportant packs in fairly calm waters. He wasn't a monster after all.

"I'd say ladies first, but it's probably best if we go together." He spoke with a laugh as they neared the ramp leading up onto the ship.

A very true thought, at least she hoped true. It wasn't far fetched to think that other family members would avoid them just as much as they did. At him pointing out her giggle, she blushed warmly before grinning and tapping his nose. "What if I don't? Do we not get a room and have to sleep on the deck under the stars?" That didn't sound so bad.

The colorful naiad carefully held onto the rail as she boarded the ship, still getting used to her land legs. Just wait until she discovered sea legs once the boat set off! Perhaps attending this event was a little unconventional for a naiad, why would a naiad go on a boat? It did seem kind of silly, the extent land pae went to travel across water, but she was drawn to the idea of going to a party. A party that lasted several days even! She had yet to hear of the reputation these particular parties had.

She was so excited she nearly slipped, but she stopped, caught her balance, and continued, giggling at herself. The fact that it was a love boat struck her as lack of creativity in coming up with a better name for the vessel, after all she didn't know much about this Venus character either.

As much as any of his adopted siblings were familiar with the strange stories and intrigue surrounding Venus' Retinue and her infamous parties, Koit was curious to the bone. Just what was it with these supposed Gods and Goddesses that always seemed to bring equal parts joy and strife to each event, yet continue to hold them still? He'd had to find out! Telling only his littlest elder sisters (bless Siofra and Soliel) for advice on being a suave sort of demon ... ish gentlemen, he was fully ready to make less of a food of himself as he usually was prone to doing.

As he arrived to the ship, he'd had to hoist himself up and shake his body free of excess water before he could fly aboard. Sometimes he wondered how convenient it might be to have legs like the rest of his family, but he didn't really think too hard upon it. It was like asking a frog how it felt to fly or a dove if it missed swimming among the fish; something he'd never experience, and as such, could not miss too terribly much. Once dried enough, he flew up and about, his tail curled up below him to allow for easier movement.

Eyes looking about, he couldn't help but nearly gape in awe at the sheer number and diversity of the guests here.

Oh boy was he excited!

This little old country boy felt immensely out of place as he arrived with his friend at the base of the ship, his arms carrying both of their bags with ease, and looked up at the obvious splendor about screaming in pride. What should he do; what did anyone do when met with such a difference in lifestyle and wealth?

Except be ushered in of course.

After stuttering their names to a hasty cherub, he and Aquarious were already being rushed about to set their things in a room of their own. "S-Sorry 'bout this!" he said lightly as they moved, a bit guilty for asking her along with him on these shenanigans and having her share a room with him (although less guilty of the latter). He'd asked her, now a close friend from the countless times he assisted in her shop for some fresh wildflowers for his humble accommodations, because it promised relaxation. With how much she dedicated herself to her work, a break could have been nice.

After the cherub pointed matter-of-factly to a door before them and left to continue his buisness elsewhere, Thulani sighed heavily. "Man ... Ain't that something, huh?"

Alright. Enough stalling. She took a breath before walking up the ramp. Ahead he caught a glimpse of Junior and a...naiad under his arm. How long had it been since she or her sister had visited Dameon and Starry? They had visited once for a family reunion, back when they had two new bouncing babies. She couldn't remember their names though...something with 'S'. The two demons were like rabbits with how many children though, she couldn't rightly keep up.

She hung back slightly for Junior to pass before continuing on. The female smiled and nodded politely at the greetings from Harmonia and Serenity before following the pink cherub, but not before movement caught her golden eyes. A pae coming over the side of the boat, rather than going up the ramp that was so obviously placed for pae to go up. She tilted her head in slight curiosity. Didn't he need to check in to get a room?

Shahrazad... was not in the best of moods. Somehow, Saira had caught wind of these reservations, and with her Hatil too. What had been an intended personal get-away had twisted into yet-another bout of these girls about clawing each other's throats. And she was having to deal with it as always ... For now, in any case.

Walking up and onto the boat, she was greeted by a mellon and, upon giving her name, taken in one direction. A direction opposite of those two 'children' of hers. They'd insisted on coming with her, and here she'd brought them, that much what true. Has she agreed in bothering with their quarrels once aboard, however? No. Had she said they'd room together?

Oh goodness no.

Grinning to herself as she walked off, the cat wondered if perhaps they'd learn to deal with each other's company now that they were to be subjected to it alone each night.

Or perhaps if they'd learn not to bother their mother's alone time with such quarreling.

User Image
Saira had been immensely proud of herself for figuring out about her mother's plans. It hadn't been to terribly difficult, actually, for a bird like her, with how smart and cunning she was. Normally, an adult might have left her nest already, but she couldn't have that. If she was gone, who was going to protect mother from the big, bad foxes of the woods! Who would make sure that nopae tried anything funny, like getting close to her or, even worse, that Hatil would get any closer to her. Stupid pigeon always getting in the way of mother's attention! Just like now.

Always in her way! Glaring at the lime feathers, she couldn't help but feel jealousy at how much more the chick resembled their mother than herself. It wasn't fair; she was there first! Until Hatil was gone, Saira would not leave her mother's side! Ever! Not for anything!

Except by a cherub bringing just the two sisters in the exact opposite direction.

Oh gods help her, there was no way at all that anypae was going to make her ... "This has to be wrong!" her voice was louder than really necessary, that's how much this frustrated her.

"Have fun Saira~! Hatil~!"

Oh that scheming witch of a mother... She'd planned this from the start! "This cannot be right; she cannot be in my room!"

User Image
"What's the ma-tter~?" A sing-songy voice chimed in to the arguing cherub and she-crow, the teenager looking back from waving at her happy mother. It was the happiest she'd seemed since they'd left for the boat, so naturally Hatil was happy too. Happy mother made a happy bird. It was simple.

The she-crow always made it too complicated. Simple was better.

"Mama put us in the same room?" she asked, much to her sister's displeasure. Frankly, she disliked the situation as well (who would want to sleep near her if they didn't have to), but if their mom had wanted that... "I'm okay with that. Aren't you~?" looking up at Saira, she flashed a grin that only served to irritate the adult further. They'd likely had begun fighting then and there if they hadn't been more-or-less immediately pushed out of the walkways and towards the room.

It didn't take long following his rather unorthodox method of entering the boat before Koit was stopped by a pair of fit-looking cherubs. Perhaps some of Kleta's company? Their questions had been simple: a name and if there was anything he'd had with him for the next three days. Those answers were simple enough as well, as he knew both his name and what few items he'd brought along. Satisfactory, however, they were not.

Apparently they couldn't find his name on some list they'd had with them of the guests and whatnot. What list? Wasn't this just some fancy cruise version of all the parties his parents and his brother (not that he knew him well at all) were so generally fond of?

"Do... I need a reservation...?"

It was a simple question, but the pair of them seemed to stare at him in some disbelief before turning around to speak quietly to themselves. Some rather mean words could just be heard from the otherwise incomprehensible speech.

Well... This wasn't going as planned.

Azure's eyes followed to where Dyas was pointing, noticing the pae welcoming them on board. "Ah hello, thank you for the hospitality." He gladly handed the bags over to the cherubs, it wasn't as if they had brought anything he was concerned about and he was beginning to feel like a trading cart from carrying both of their bags. After he passed off his bags he let go of Dyas for a moment to stretch. His back was killing him, a sure sign that he was getting old.

"I wonder what our room is like," he mentioned, imagining the rooms located in the long gone headquarters. It would sure be different from their usual cave home. Really though, how much time would they spend in their room, he was certain there was a ton of things to keep them busy on the boat, but he did want the get settled first.

Zaden peeked around the nearest tree to the dock, she remembered seeing these big floating things in the past, this time she wanted to get on it. With a grin of warped amusement she ran out of her hiding place and joined the biggest group of pae boarding the boat trying to blend in.

Sommer slung her bag over her shoulder and skipped towards the big ship, she had not told her adoptive parents she was coming to this event and wanted the chance to flirt with cute boys without being watched like crazy. She happily waved at all the ship crew and leaned against railing near the front of the boat until it was out away from the dock before hurrying off to go find her room.

It was Vash's favorite time of year, he could flirt all he wanted and noone ever seemed to be angry at him for it. Happily he boarded the ship eying the ladies happily and rubbing his hands together as he did.

Bramble didn't know exactly what she was, but she knew she was different then everyone around her. For this reason she was shy and she was looking at this trip as a way to get to meet others maybe even make friends. With nervous steps she boarded the boat and went to find her room.

[[ sorry for short posts but i just wanted to get these guys onboard i will do longer posts after i get home ]]

With her eyes lingering on the odd spectacle, she saw the cherubs swarm him in an instant. And then the poor thing got exactly what he deserved for expecting to just show up on a cruise.

Which left her with a decision to make with only a few seconds to make it.

Well she was already making a string of good deeds with taking in strangers, why not add another. With a few quick strides she made her way over to the group, looping an arm around the sprites arm and leaving her leading cherub looking mighty confused. "My apologies for the confusion. He's with me. Come on, we're being shown our room." She smiled softly at the cherub's suspicious looks before starting to pull the demon snake thing away.

What was with her and attracting legless pae?

Dysmas was admittedly nervous as he walked around the deck with Sweetie Drops and he was certain that she was nervous too. He kept reminding himself that it was a different boat, even a completely different host, but he still could help feeling uneasy. Last time he had gone a boat tour he ended up stranded on an island for a season. Sweetie was a good thing that had come out of it, but it had still been a very difficult time.

He had been so busy lately, working on building homes in his mother's village, it felt like he and Sweetie hardly had any good, quality time together. A little space from the village was just what he needed, even if that meant getting on another boat. On top of his nerves about the boat, he was always nervous around crowds. Sweetie had helped him a lot with his confidence, but he still got self-conscious about his appearance. "Are you doing alright?" He asked his companion, they could still get off the ship if they needed to.

She watched carefully when he pulled away to stretch, noticing the twangs of discomfort on his face. Slowly she grinned while stepping up to him and making a massaging grabbing hand motion with both hands. There was probably a pampering center around there somewhere. They could both use a relaxing massage.

But first they needed to be shown their rooms and get settled in. Putting away their various items taken from home to remain comfortable, though their life was fairly minimalistic. With a playful tap on his arm she skipped ahead to follow the cherub to their quarters, her lavender hair softly bouncing on her shoulders. This vacation made her feel so young again!

Florzinha had eked out a simple living since being wrenched unceremoniously to this godsforsaken Isle, as far away as possible from the idiot girl who called her here. She lived a nomadic life, kept no friends or family, and swore allegiance to no one. Except the idiot girl who called her here. Such was the paradox of her life. She used to live like a queen, surrounded by adoring lovers, male and female alike. Here...she was like a shadow.

She could use a little luxury, dammit.

She stepped on board, wary of the water as any cat, and glared at the tiny fairy porter who offered to take her...luggage? "I've no luggage," she said dismissively. Florzinha found her way to her room and found it small, but full of comforts. For the first time today, probably, she smiled the tiniest of smiles. She deserved this.

After taking inventory of her space, Florzinha grew restless and slipped out the door. She wasn't in love with being around lots of Pae, but she did want to scope out who was here. It was a large vessel. There could be any number of fascinating, or boring, personalities. She made her way to the centermost part of the ship she could get into--lots of locked doors, she noted. She made a mental note to figure out how to get past them. Many Pae were gathered here. She found a relative corner of the room and leaned against the wall, half in shadow, half in light. Her tail twitched with interest as she surveyed the assembled crowd. There was one thing she hadn't expected....

She caught a glimpse of other Rakshasha. She'd never realized more than herself had been displaced from her home. She wasn't sure if she wanted to initiate a conversation, or avoid them altogether. Although....she eyed one up and down. She'd forgotten how pleasing to the eye females of her race were.

Hjortur wouldn't miss one of Venus' parties for the world, no matter how unruly situations and pae alike seemed to become. He was included in such things, too, off course. Never a dull moment to be had, and always a fond memory to create; ever since he'd become a 'mature' adult, his life seemed to have become so mundane. If it wasn't for his girls (and boy), there was little doubt in his mind that he'd still be making merry with all on the street. Oh how simpler life had been back in those days!

He wouldn't give up a single thing for those days back, though.

Looking back behind him at the teen who'd simply insisted he'd be allowed to come, the naiad called to him. "We're almost there! Don't complain; you've hardly been out of the water for a few minutes."

User Image
"I'll complain if I want to complain!" the sprite retorted, huffing and puffing before quickening the beating of his wings. This was the first time he'd been above the surface since he'd left to find a family, and it was a lot different than he remembered. And he decided upon leaving the water that he didn't like it and that he didn't want to be here.

Even if he'd been desperately excited to come and adventure above the surface not even five minutes ago.

Crossing his arms, he continued on past his dad and, ignoring him, went and poked on a cherub. "There has to be some water on this boat, right? Where is it?" That was currently the most important thing on his mind: getting back in water.

Letting the teenager continue forward, Hjortur laughed lightly to himself of the antics before continuing forward to greet the two lovely ladies out front. "Harmonia! It's a pleasure to see you again, and in better circumstances might I add; have you been well?" Not during a naga fight or murder mystery, in any case, was a better setting. To Serenity, "Thank you Miss Serenity; I will be sure to seek you out if I am in need of anything."

"Hm, can take the captain out of the ship, but can't take the ship out of the captain, can you." Andromeda gave Darias a look, eyebrow raised and a smirk over her face. "You know, if somehow they do let you steer, then that means you'll be missing all the fun. I'll need to ask someone else to be my partner for Hot Yoga." She teased him lightly as she unpacked her bag... by throwing it in the corner. Who had time for unpacking for just a day or two anyways?

She took a good long look around the room, taking in the set up and picking up a nick nack to play with in her hands. "So, what is the first thing you want to do?"
