Usually I wouldn't do this because it seems like pointless pedantry, but since it's come up. . .

Yaoi is pretty much just gay porn in manga format, really, and that's what was meant for guys originally, and for the most part is now. Shonen ai, the stuff with romance? That wasn't necessarily meant for men. The difference isn't that big of a deal, but when you're discussing these things it is.

Anyway, the majority of straight men do like lesbians getting it on, there's a giant industry behind it. I think more women would like gay man sex too, if it wasn't so completely foreign to society.

Women often have a better time relating with the uke('female') of the relationship rather than an actual woman, who they see as a rival rather than as someone to relate to.

That said, yaoi is an idealized depiction of a male/male relationship, which can turn off some(but not all) gay men to the genre. ^^

Yeah, and then it's vice versa with yuri. It's basically because yaoi and shounen-ai are targeted towards females more than males, and it's the same with yuri and shoujo-ai.

There are more women than men in the world anyway and the percentage of girls liking yaoi is more than the guys. I think.

Although it was created for women I see no reason why guys shouldn't like it too. We should all have an equal right to like it.
