When he opened his eyes it was day time again. Stretching Simon sat up and wiped the sleep from his eyes before standing up. Each of the rooms had a bathroom as well so he used it then washed his face using cold water. That woke him up so he dried off picked up his pack and walked out of the room. Checking his team Simon decided once he got Graveler he'd turn in all of his training Pokemon including Rhyhorn. He'd try to train up a type he didn't have a lot of, either Poison or maybe Psychic. Simon would also need to train up Swablu so that he can have another flying Dragon Pokemon. Out in the garden before he could look for more Pokemon a trainer emerged, he looked like a nerd with glasses, a pocket protector and a book in his hands. "According to the rules I need to tell you that my name is Eugene and because our eyes met we have to battle." Nodding Simon sent out Geodude first, Eugene came calculations then sent Marowak out. Since this was still bad for his ground Pokemon he switched Geodudette out for Noivern.

Frowning Eugene started to put the book away but paused flipping a few pages and nodding sending out "Forretress the bagworm Pokemon. It remains immovable rooted to its tree. It scatters pieces of its hard shell to drive its enemies away." It was a good move as the bug Pokemon that it was in the first stage evolved into a duel type and steel was strong against dragon and normal and normal against flying so switching it up Simon called for Noivern to use Hurricane instead. It was powerful enough to lift Forretress up and hurl it into the air. It had fainted once it crashed into the ground.

It was always odd how water Pokemon battled on land or rock Pokemon battled on water but whatever, things just worked. If a foe comes near it, it sets off tremors by thrashing around.""Noivern is too strong but it's good to lose, you learn from your defeats as much as you learn from your wins." Eugene nodded as Noivern whipped up the air with his wings and tossed Whiscash into the air, it fainted as it hit the ground.

Once the battle was over and Simon returned Noivern he walked over to Eugene as he returned Whiscash. "Good job, I've been training my Pokemon for a long time now. Keep it up and you can probably defeat me. Whiscash can learn electric moves and earthquake and dominate." Eugene nodded before walking back to the exit of the mansion. There was no Pokecenter here so he would need to walk to the next town to heal his team up.

"It's not what you think," Dusknoir said as a real Kangaskhan came out. Following the Pokemon was a man who looked like a gardener. "Hello, I'm Frank, Mr. Backlot's gardener. Would you like to battle?""Is she yours?" Frank nodded. "Cool, I'd expect a grass Pokemon for a gardener." Frank chuckled, "I'm actually a Normal trainer." Nodding Simon agreed to the battle and sent Geodudette out to fight.

Geodudette did a great job however she was looking tired so when Frank withdrew Kangaskhan Simon withdrew Geodudette. Simon sent out Noivern while Frank sent out, "Lickitung the Licking Pokemon. Its tongue is twice the length of its body. It can be moved like an arm for grabbing food and attacking." Lickitung watched Noivern as he flapped there. Rolling into a tight ball to try to raise his defense Lickitung didn't get the chance to do it as Noivern used Boomburst knocking the normal Pokemon out.

The next Pokemon that Frank sent out was, "Furret the long body Pokemon. Furret has a very slim build. When under attack, it can slickly squirm through narrow spaces and get away. In spite of its short limbs, this Pokemon is very nimble and fleet." No matter how quick the normal Pokemon was Simon was sure that a Boomburst would hurl Ferret away. So yes, even though Furret almost go close enough to attack the burst of wind threw it back and knocked it out.

Now that he was on his last Pokemon that was flung off into the air Frank actually sent out a new Pokemon that made the ground shake as it came out. The huge Pokemon was, "Snorlax the sleeping Pokemon. Snorlax's typical day consists of nothing more than eating and sleeping. It is such a docile Pokemon that there are children who use its expansive belly as a place to play." Nodding Simon called out for Noivern to switch it from flying to dragon and use dragon pulse. With the fang around his neck powering up the dragon move doing just enough damage to win.

As Frank returned Snorlax Simon returned Noivern and sent out Geodudette to heal her up. "That was a great battle,"Frank said. "Your team was impressive as well. Finally Simon was going to catch more Pokemon to raise, those three Eevee he wanted to get the rest of those Evolutions. Returning Geodudette he started towards the mansion with Dusknoir floating behind him. In the building and out to the area with tall grass Simon started his search.

Entering the back yard where instead on marble or stone statues Frank had crafted the shrubs to look like Pokemon as well. Looking at them Simon admired how much they look like Pokemon. He knew Mr. Backlot liked fairy Pokemon and Frank really captured the Clefable in the leaves. Dusknoir came over to him letting him know a wild Pokemon came from the grass. Looking around Simon say a wild, "Porygon the virtual Pokemon. A manmade Pokemon that came about as a result of research. It is programmed with only basic motions." Sending out Geodudette to weaken it to catch and for her to keep leveling up the battle began.

Healing up Geodudette after she defeated Porygon it had been a long battle. Porygon had kept healing up and it took a while to beat it. Dusknoir, in his gaseous form, floated around Geodudette praising her for doing such a good job. Geodudette seemed to get shy, maybe even blush if that was possible to see on a stone Pokemon's face. There was a zap as a Pikachu who was looking at a berry come around the corner. Scanning it Simon heard the data for, "Pikachu the mouse Pokemon. Whenever Pikachu comes across something new, it blasts it with a jolt of electricity. If you come across a blackened berry, it's evidence that this Pokemon mistook the intensity of its charge." It was one he didn't have but then again there was a form before Pikachu that he would want to raise up from there to increase the bond stronger. Since Geodudette was unaffected by electricity it was her time to shine again.

Once Pikachu fainted another jolt of electricity flew through the air striking Geodudette but like always it didn't do anything. At first Simon thought it would be another Pikachu, or hopefully a Pichu but it was neither. The Pokemon with the red tipped ears was a "Plusle the cheering Pokemon. Plusle always acts as a cheerleader for its partners. Whenever a teammate puts out a good effort in battle, this Pokemon shorts out its body to create the crackling noises of sparks to show its joy." Nodding at Geodudette to do it again so they could catch it she rushed into battle.

Saddened by that thought he wished he had one of those flute things that let him catch a certain Pokemon. Returning to the now he spotted the odd Pokemon a few feet away before Dusknoir who had returned to his side. "Castform the weather Pokemon. Castform borrows the power of nature to transform itself into the guises of the sun, rain and snow-clouds. This Pokemon's feelings change with the weather.""Geodudette, go ahead and take on Castform,""Duuuude!"
