[Nio Love]

Kettil might have thought so, but when she dropped her axe and it fell into the floor again, only to get knocked away from it, Freya did not feel very much like a boss.

Endzela struck at the knight again, she made angry sounding screeches while she tried to distract it. Kettil was busily trying to find a weakness in the defenses once more.

"We are the boss. We make our own destiny."

[Nio Love]

The only destiny Freya was making, as she got up and toddled back over to the knight, was the destiny of kicking the knight's wispy lower parts with her boot.

It sure didn't feel like much, but it was worth it.

[Pales]

Kettil tried to get in a hit but the knight turned on him and struck him down hard. Kettil's essence poofed into nothingness

For a moment.

[Nio Love]

She picked up her axe, dislodging it from the floor, and froze still when she saw Kettil dissipate. Rage filled her, forcing her to throw the axe full force at the knight at the same time as it flung her away again. She dissipated in mid-air even as her weapon sunk in for it's blow.

[Pales]

He reformed a second or two later. It took a second before he suddenly flung himself forward to land a hit, "NOT THIS TIME. NOT EVER."

HP: 45

[Nio Love]

The moment she reformed, it was as if she'd never left. She stormed forward, screeching like a harpy, and resummoned her weapon in order to -

Have it thud to the floor a moment later.

This was supposed to be her grand finale! It was turning into a grand failure.  

[Pales]

Kettil ran forward toward the knight, a fist raised. At the same time Endzela went in for a divebomb at the knight. The pair hit at once with a large screech of metal and pure power behind the attack.

The boil felt the impact shake up along his arm and into his shoulder and torso. There was something so satisfying about the crunch of impact.

Yes. This was the way to get what is his.

It will all be within his grasp. His and Freya's.  

[Nio Love]

She could feel the reverberation of Kettil's final blow even as she picked up her axe again and struck. He'd succeeded, in a bold and beautiful move. He was a shining example of what a strong, capable graduate should be.

She had to rise to his level.

Letting that thought drive her, she swung her axe over her head, and settled it into the silver armor of the knight with a mighty blow.

Freya's axe had engorged on power, and now, as it swung over her head, she used her wings to rise her up as high as she could, and let it come swinging down onto the armored head.

[Nio Love]

A whisper distracted her.

The axe, engorged with power, was held high above her head, but she paused to try and catch it. All she could hear now were Endy's screeches and Kettil's grunts as they fought valiantly below, but she was sure she'd heard it. She was sure..

She let the axe fall out of her hands, without her own strength powering the swing this time as she just let it carry its own weight down in a final blow.

That was when she finally realized that her trusty axe, who'd been with her her entire life, had transformed into something obnoxiously massive. It was sticking out of the knight's head, waiting for something.

"Uh."

She didn't think she could pull something that big out of the knight's head.  

[Pales]

Kettil had stepped back to watch and give Freya room. He tilted his head at the size of the axe and then over at her, "...You gonna be able to pick that up?"

It seemed he had concerns about that as well.

Usually Reapers can lift their own weapons without problems.  

[Nio Love]

The knight dissappeared before their eyes, leaving behind their two diplomas fluttering in the air above them. It wasn't safe to try and capture the diplomas just yet, however, because as the knight dissipated, he giant axe came flying down until it sunk itself into the ground with a loud, shaking thud.

"Uh." That was pretty much all she could say at the moment, until she heard the whisper again. She walked over to the axe, passing the diplomas with only a glance, before touching the hilt of the giant blade.

All at once, her eyes lit up and she turned to grin excitedly at Kettil.

"Hooter!" She whisper screamed, bouncing from one foot to another. "She told me her name! She spoke to me, Hooter!"

Behind her, a word cut itself into the hilt of the weapon with slow, molten heat. It was a little belated, but Freya's weapon had finally decided to share its name with her, ending it's lifetime of stubbornness with the revelation that it's name was "Halle". The word cooled against the hilt after it was branded.

Halle. "The rock." As in, stubborn as.  

[Pales]

Kettil let out a short shout of celebration. He moved up to her and embraced her in a quick hug - the diplomas forgotten for now in the victory his Freya was currently feeling, "That is wonderful! I knew that this would happen for you one day!"

Because he had faith in Freya. He always would have faith in Freya.

"That is a wonderful name." He said cheerfully.
