Well, it wasn't like they were COMPLETELY trapped on the island. It was a pretty big place itself, and he had to admit there were places he hadn't even visited yet. Had he known the boy was still sad about such things, he would have told him not to worry, but alas, such thoughts were not voiced.
His actions, however, did worry him a little, as he watched with perplexed look when Aki came closer, poking at empty air near his arm.
What... was he doing?
Even more confusion when the boy actually touched him, and he flinched slightly. Was he looking at his scars? But then he turned to Sherry, waving his arms by her side, and began to wonder if he was hallucinating. He had called him a teddy bear, so it only made him wonder what he was seeing Sherry as.
"Are you... alright?"
Even as the little Cerberus started talking about something else, Jake was still a little worried, and was quite intrigued with what he was seeing also.

Yes, he was more than a bit confused. But... there had to be a reason. He didn't normally see things. So he was trying to ignore it a bit, push it aside for a better topic. So he merely smiled at Sherry's first comment in regards to not wanting him to run. "Yeh!" He hated the idea of having to panic whenever he saw someone as kind as Sherry, but... apparently he couldn't trust them all? His ears did droop a bit at that, but he nodded, though less enthusiastically. He'd run if he had to, but... he'd try to talk to them first? Not everyone was mean after all.
But then the questions on if he felt alright... and what he saw drew the topic back up. He wasn't going to lie, but... what would they thing. "Wehl... ah fehl fahn buh..." He pointed at Jake first. "Jehk lohks lahk ah tedeh behr." And then toward Sherry next. "Ahn yah hevh ahngehl wehngsah." He added, nodding a few times before pausing again. "Buh, ah cahnt fehl tehm, sah therh nah therh?" He added, at least admitting that... he was probably seeing it wrong. Why? Well he didn't know that much, but certainly that was what was causing the misunderstanding between the group. He saw things they didn't.
"Ah prahbleh juhs nehd tah slehp." He added, nodding a few times and trying to let it go. He'd be fine, it had never done this before, so... so it would get better.

Sherry smiled, warm and friendly. Too sweet he was. So hard to think of him as an enemy. Which is where the worry came from. Too sweet and too friendly for most of the world she’d seen. But for now, things were fine.
Even if he saw Jake as a teddy bear and her as having….angel wings? That…would explain some things. Like why he didn’t seem to see the house the same way they did. “You see them? Wings?” Sherry was busy looking at her side, where Aki had been trying to touch said wings. “I… don’t see them, but, if you see them…” If he saw them, he saw them, that was for sure. Just like he saw Jake as a teddy bear, even if Sherry didn’t. “If you see them, you see them.”
She gave Aki a curious look. “Sleep? Hm. If you’ve been missing sleep then it might be a good thing.” She didn’t know much about the pup, let alone what his schedule might be like. “Are you a busy demon?” There was nothing curiosity in her voice.
Her look turned thoughtful. “But it seems like you are seeing happy things, so that’s not bad.” Surely not. Heck, Sherry wouldn’t mind having angel wings, maybe.

The poor thing. Maybe he really did need sleep. Jake checked his own hand, as to make sure he didn't suddenly sprout fur or claws. He had figured Halloween students were kinda like... students, what with assignments and classes or something. Considering he never went through such things, he could only imagine the life of a student was quite hectic and busy, though probably nothing compared to that of a hunter.
Though he already knew that Aki saw him as a teddy bear of some sort, he seemed to see Sherry as an angel?
"Well, I hate to admit, but we're both quite human, and asides from special weapons, we have no magic powers, though I have to say Sherry does have rather angel-like qualities."
Of course she did. She was an angel in his eyes also, so he didn't put it past the little Cerberus to see her as one.
"Even if it is sleep, it's slightly worrying he's hallucinating to such a degree." he replied, understanding her reasoning but not quite agreeing with it.
"It may be a good thing for him psychologically, but what if he were to run into something dangerous? He wouldn't know because it would seem harmful in his eyes."
