My Dad used to coach minis rugby union, so he knows the laws of the game. I don't know how anyone can think rugby is simple: the laws behind rucks and mauls are complicated enough.

Lt.Voltz Masada Lt.Voltz Masada Big Man Utd fan here. And no I am not a glory hunter because I have supported them since the late eighties. And hell yeah I am looking foward to the world cup. I really like England's chances this time. I use to support Man U alittle when I younger then I woke up and thought I'd go support my local team instead! Ive seen my team Plymouth get promoted twice over the last 4years! and how our is progressing it shouldn't be to long till we look for a playoff sport for the multi millionairs playground called the Premiership! Helping a club do that is far more exciting then watching United. Plus why support a team that you cant go watch live every weekend! All these Man U fans don't make sense! I know I live in Kent but I can not change my loyalty to another team. I tried soley supporting my local team(Gillingham). But I supported Man Utd first and I can not totally change my loyalties. Allthough I do like to see my hometown team Gillingham do well which is not the case at the moment. So if Gillingham got into the Premiership (Which they have no chance in hell!) who would you support. Utd or Gillingham? I would have to turn my head away from the match. And whoever wins wins. For that one game only I would not support either more than the other one.

A Lost Iguana Voltz, a flatmate of mine is a Plymouth and Spurs fan. So, should the former tangerine army make it into the Prem then he'll be a bit split. I think he's more a Plymouth fan. No such worries for me, though. The only other club I have a feeling for is Wimbledon (or MK Dons) and maybe AFC Wimbledon. Curious random fact. 00/01 - I live in Fitzrovia. 01/02 - I live in Finsbury Park; Plymouth are promoted; Arsenal win the title. 02/03 - I like in Manor House. 03/04 - I live in Finsbury Park; Plymouth are promoted; Arsenal win the title. 04/05 - I live in Staines. 05/06 - I live in Forest Hill (well, not for much longer... b***h of a flatmate) (06/07 - I live in Chicago??) I should go back to FP, for both our sakes! gonk Man I feel sorry for you being a Wimbledon supporter. You basicly had your team stolen off of you.

Invictus_88 It is also, but not because of that, a far superior game. It's a lot more physical, and more sporting.
I wouldn't pay money to watch a bunch of overpaid drama-queens feign injury at every turn. I never do. Someone always pays for me xD
But some of the injuries are horendous! I mean Alen Smith dislocated his ankel and brok his knee or something disgusting like that from one tackle and it could be career threatening. Poor sod. But I do agree. They are very over paid.

Aw crap, I just remembered the World Cup. I'm not a huge fan of football, but I prefer it to most other sports (baseball is the worst spectator's sport ever next to golf -- which I don't even consider a sport). It's better than watching American Football, I've gone to games before and it's a horrible game. Rugby has always eluded me to watch (I have never had the opportunity to see a match), and I've never fully figured out the proper rules.
I hate hockey with a passion (got a problem with my rather un-Canadian position on hockey!?). Curling is not a sport either. Although I do like Lacrosse, but it's funny to check out the goalie because he's got huge padding and looks way bigger than an American footballer...
As for football, I want to watch the World Cup but our sports stations are incredibly lacking. As for my "aw crap" at the beginning... I don't know who I'm rooting for now. I have a good friend in Brasil and I want to hope that Brasil wins... but on the other hand I just love England... now I'm rambling.
All I know is I'll be angry if Argentina wins.
EDIT: I do think that soccer hooligans are probably worth the sport. I doubt it's a a sport for pansies, it's more dangerous to be a fan than to be on the field...

I'm torn. If I'm lucky ESPN shows ONE premier league match per week and a local cable station shows another. Then I have to actually BE HOME at that moment in time ( evry rare occurance). When I do have the chance I do like to keep up on Everton & Aston Villa.

Nah, I hate football, but I'm happy when the 'Boro win, even if all it does is spare me from my mothers' wrath.

'Boro? Haha, how do they do it. Twice in a row they have needed to score four goals to save themselves in Europe and now they are in the UEFA Cup final. Fair play.

Or that sniper that shot out the knee caps of the opposing keeper.

And shorter lines for replica jerseys than the line for Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, OK! OK! I'm a poor soul already! LOL

LOL It's not quite that. It's just you have Everton who have to be one of the most boring footballing sides in the Premiership; and you have Aston Villa, who with Doug Ellis refusing to let his managers spend any money [they firing them for not producing the good] are doomed to mediocrity season after season ad infinitum. West Ham and Wigan were both promoted this season and they play better stuff than Everton and Villa. gonk
