Noah rolled his eyes and couldn't help but scoff incredulously at Ren's offer. 'Sorry to dissappoint you, but I'm not one to let curiosity rule my actions, nor am I one to bargain. No one who's got half a brain would offer to trade something valuable for fifty cents. Of course, I probably give you too much credit,' he finished dryly.
'And you,' he said to Lex, 'are lucky I'm not charging more. My mystery usually comes at a high price, but I'm willing to give it up for a dollar.'

"Fine then," Ren said, airily putting the object back. "No one wants it no one sees it," he shrugged, smirking at Noah. He sauntered off, a bit before changing his expression toi hard and thinking, he looked back at the two for a lingering moment. "nah...." he said slightly a loud, shaking his head and turning back to go frontwards.

"Nah, I think I'll pass then, thanks," Lex decided. "If you won't tell me straight away then that must mean you don't want me to know, so I'll leave it." With a shrug he turned away from Noah to look at Ren, who was now walking away. Lex's face fell as he saw Ren walking away and still not giving any hint as to what the object was. Curiosity was always one of his main weaknessess, but he resisted the urge to try and persuade Ren to show it to him, and instead turned to Jiru, smiling.
"Well, if this guy's gonna be stingy like that," he indicated towards Noah, "I guess we'd better ignore him. How about we find something else to do?" Inside he desperately hoped that would get a response out of Noah, as he was somehow growing fond of him, but he kept that to himself, masking it all with a smile while keeping up the impression of ignoring Noah.

Jiru got the message, "yeah, how about going to the ballpark?? I heard that a World Baseball Classic Semifinal is soon to begin between Japan and Korea" said Jiru

"WOOP!" Ren exclaimed as he tripped in thought and fell upon his face. He groaned in embarrassment, and shot up dusting himself off. He didn't himself notice the rather deep scratch upon his chin, begining to soak up in blood.

Noah snorted in laughter as Ren promptly fell flat on his face, his foul mood lightening a little. There was no reason to let these people get the best of him. He could deal with Ren, and Jiru didn't annoy him in the first place. The only one who managed to really affect him was Lex. It was partially due to his demeanor; quiet, but sharp. He seemed as if he knew very well how to read people and just what to do to push their buttons. Not manipulative, just very observant.
Besides that, Noah had been conversing with Lex first anyway and he had suddenly been intruded on by complete and total strangers. He was used to drawing crowds, of course, but that didn't mean he always enjoyed it. And he took even less pleasure from it when the people who congregated about him started acting like morons and ignoring him. If Noah had known Ren better he probably would have whacked him upside the head, but as it stood that would seem rather confrontational and arrogant, not that he thought Ren would actually do anything about it but flail and squawk a little.
With those thoughts Noah followed silently after the little group, deciding that, for the time being he was quite content with being ignored.

Lex's gaze shot over to Ren as he fell down, then stood back up again.
"Are you okay?" he asked, walking up to him, then winced as he saw the blood on Ren's jaw, which Ren himself seemed oblivious to.
"Ugh, that doesn't look good," he commented, handing him a small sheet of metal from his bag to use as a mirror. "Maybe there's a drinking fountain or something you can use to clean it with..." he trailed off, hearing Noah laugh quietly, but chose not to comment on it, instead looking quizzically at him.
"Clive, do you have any tissues or anything on you?" Lex smiled at Noah, shrugging as he stifled a laugh. "If you're not gonna give me your name, I might as well give you one. I can't just call you nothing."

"Or you can and just provide me with more entertainment," Ren said innocently. He motioned that he could put the reflecting metal away. "Thanks for pointing that out," he said courtiously. He then, being the man's man he was (aka: was not prissy) he put the tip of his shirt into his mouth and sucked on it a moment. When it was wet, he turned around and began wiping off the blood from his chin. When he realized it wasn't planning on clotting at that very moment, he gave up, tucked in the part of his shirt with the blood smeared on it, and turned around "Ah well, it will dry up eventually," he said, smirking a bit.

Noah allowed himself to be annoyed briefly before recovering. He raised an eyebrow at Lex. 'Clive?' he asked flatly. 'Do I really look like 'Clive' to you? Where'd you come up with that? I've never met anyone in my life named Clive.' He glanced briefly at Ren before returning his attention to Lex.

"Well it's either your own name or one of my choice, you decide. And Clive isn't that bad a name, my uncle had a horse called Clive." Grinning, he turned to Ren, seeing the blood still dripping from his chin.
"Hey, if press on that it should stop bleeding," he pointed out, then looked back at Noah with a smile.
"If you want any other name, you know what to do," he said teasingly, but in a way that was clearly just innocently playful and not meant to annoy Noah.

"Yes that would be something that the everyday person would do wouldn't it?" he said proudly. He wiped the blood away with his hand as new blood replaced it. "I'll let it bleed out, it will clot eventually," he said and turned around to walk away so the other two could resume their arguement about Clive.

Noah bit back a sigh and asked Lex, 'You wouldn't happen to have any siblings, would you? Because that would account for your incredibly annoying ability to push people's buttons so well.' He paused for a moment to consider Lex. 'Yeah, I can definitely see you getting noogied and wedgied by a brother as a kid.'

(yes yes yes yes yes yes yes) Ren moved himself towards a bench and was starting to get annoyed with the blood so he took a handkerchief out of his back pocket and pressed it against it.

(Yep, I know exactly what you mean... razz )
"Nope, I'm an only child," Lex beamed, unfazed by Noah's comment. Suddenly a commotion started not far from where they stood, and Lex glanced over, frowning in puzzlement.
A large crowd stood around the area where the old storyteller once sat, and flashing lights could be seen. The crowd moved back suddenly as an ambulance drove away from the area, and then dispersed, revealing the patch where the now absent storyteller had once sat. The group of small children who had previously listening to the old man's tales looked around, then they spotted the small group standing a short way from where they were, and their eyes lit up.
"Hey, tell us a story!" They begged, and Lex laughed slightly.
"Um, I don't know any, but maybe he does," he suggested, indicating towards Noah.
(Perhaps Noah's story could get the gang in trouble with the parents, which could unfold into something even more interesting..just a thought of course, you guys can make whatever of this. razz )

Noah grimaced and shot Lex a death glare, flinching away from the little monsters slightly. He usually tried to avoid children like the plague. Not only were they annoying, but he also had a nasty habit of forgetting to censor himself around them. It didn't really bother him, as every last one of them would, without a doubt, be swearing and talking about sex in a few years anyway, but most parents didn't seem to like their children being tainted so early in their lives.
Noah was silent for a moment, searching his mind for anything suitable to tell the kids. When he came up empty he shrugged a little and launched in, 'Well... see kids, there are the birds and the bees- OW!' He whirled to face Ren, who had promptly smacked him upside the head, effectively cutting him off and saving the kids a few more years of innocence..
'What the heck do you think you're doing, I'm trying to tell them a story!' he growled at Ren.
