It may be, but the books are going to be showing us what the Astartes used to have available. We will probably see more stuff from the Imperial Armor and Horus Heresy make the transition to the Codexes. Already there is an option for twin-linked plasma guns for Space Marine bikes for the Dark Angels. That first apeared in Horus Heresy Book One. In there you can upgrade your twin-linked bolters to twin-linked plasma guns, flamers, or melta guns. Further, the Dark Angels Terminators can be equipped with a plasma cannon which is similar to one of the Legions could equip multi-meltas on Terminators.

You know, that's the only thing I never liked much about the Dark Angels. Their warcry is awesome, but horribly situational.

I personally never counted as a battlecry,
mostlikely somewhere in the development and editorial they made a
slight mistake of interpeting that as a battlecry,
rather then a quote from a Interrogator-Chaplain to a Fallen speech. neutral
It makes more sence that way...

Well I'm 35. I remember way back to when it was Dungeons & Dragons not Advanced D&D or whatever it is now. I've even played on a Pong machine. My uncle still has it somewhere.

Codex Marines won't get a new codex for quite a while, which sucks. I have to use my stuff from Forge World (Helios Whirlwind, Mortis Contemptor Dreadnought) as anti air units. Its all I got.

Got the whole Codex statted up in the Forge for easy access.

As to the particulars of the 'dex, I think it is mostly on par with the recent additions (though I am not so familiar with CSM as with BA or 'crons). The new types of Bike and Termie units seem fun and the fliers look to be awesome. The Blacksword Missiles on the Nephilim seem a bit 'meh' but I guess it's for when you need extra dice thrown on a turn. Albeit, why it has Missile Lock is beyond me. Most of the characters got some zing back in them, filling out why they cost so much in my opinion. An Ezekiel's power is much better than the last 'dex. Prolly just gonna use the Dark Vengeance Company Master as Azarael and eventually get a DW Knight kit and make a Belial from that.

Everything else seems pretty good to me, save for the prices on the fliers and the speeders. The Doom Croissant (Doom Scythe) is is the closest thing statwise to either flier and it's 30$ cheaper. But we always gripe about the cost. We will just have to wait till their is a price drop (which will prolly not happen) or for enough places to get bits to see how getting one that way goes.

Either way, I am pleased with it. Just gotta make up some lists and play some proxied games with a friend to really test it, though. It has been a while since I beat my friend's 'crons.
