He picked up his kit bag and slung it over his shoulder, carrying his entire gear. He didn't plan to depart from it just yet. He then began to lead the squad through another hatchway, towards the cargo hold. He was moving down quickly with his carbine trained for any enemies. The group's speed was fast, but not quick enough. They could run very fast, but be left unprepared. As if to prove Kavon's fears, a swarm of mutants, began to charge at them with pipes, torches, knives, and anything that could be a weapon. A few had limps or parts changed to be alien, and dangerous.

With the sight of monsters, the sergeant felt a zealous burning in his heart. He dropped to one knee and took aim. He then shouted over the cries and curses from the closing group. "Open fire!!!" With practiced training, the recon trooper opened up in auto fire, chopping down half a dozen mutants. He killed three outright, and gravely wounded two. He continued to shoot, killing two more and clipping another. His charge pack was all ready low, and the mob was not ceasing. They had to push through to escape this nightmare.

((OK guys were gonna have to hold up here for a bit, I have another player joining and I want to give them an opening.))

As you battle your way through the ship you are confronted with a horrifying sight, a huge pile of bodies blocks your path. As you look closer you realize that the people are still alive and that their skin has fused together.
As you wonder what to do a huge eyeball opens from the mass of bodies and you hear a demonic cackle.

'The Lord of change rewards those who give themselves willingly. Come devote yourself to him and reap the rewards' The voice says softly in your ear.

You must retreat, to stay much longer in the daemon's presence will surely cost you your soul.

Kreiger followed Kavon providing covering fire. He blasted the head off a crewman who was covered in open sores infested with maggots and was disgusted to see they infested the poor soul's brain as well.
He could feel the weight on his mind that he warp was asserting. It was sapping his sanity piece by piece.
Determined not to fall foul of the taint he began reciting an imperial battle rite.
'I fear no evil, I fear no death for the Emperor's light guides my hand!'

The incantation in the Emperor's name seemed to lift the pressure bearing down on his mind but when he saw the wall of flesh as they rounded the corner and heard it speak he felt his strength begin to fail. He retched and the daemon laughed.

'We gotta get away guys, Throne save us we gotta go back!'

Kinkaid advanced with the group off center slightly so as to maintain a clear line of fire on the Mutants that were charging there group. his shotgun churned many mutants in to a red slurry with the confined quarters that characterized ship action. though the glut of mutated was becoming to great even for there well armed fire team.

as his shotgun clicked empty Kinkaid did not pause to reload, he swung the weapon around on its harness with one hand and brought up his Lasgun "The righteous stand before the darkness and the emperor shall guide their hand" he muttered as he began to fire disciplined bursts in to the crowd. vaporizing limbs and bursting torsos and heads. but in the back of his mind he could feel a scratching

joinuswewelcomeyousurrenderrevelthegiftsofchaosjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinusjoinus

as they rounded a corner they came across a horrifying sight a abomination of flesh bone and filth lay before them. with an unimaginable stench. immediately recoiling Kinkaid reached deep in to one of his pockets and removed a cylinder marked with a red band, the pin and spoon told of its purpose. as the group began to fall back Kinkaid pulled the pin and threw the grenade towards their foes. it rolled to a stop and then burst in to a roaring flame. slowing the horrors advances with burning promethium. turning with the group Kinkaid began to hustle back away from the enemy visibly shaken but still coherent." that wont hold them for long...did anyone see a flamer back in the armory?"

Blasted warp spawn... And I thought that sump creatures were repulsive! As I turned back I saw a few people pumping rounds from another hallway. And someone was yelling for flamer...
"Hey, did you say the armory? I have something to pick up there ASAP!"

((try to write in the 3rd person, instead of saying "I went over there" say "he went over there"))

Kreiger walked back towards the armory. He would take a few steps, turn to face the horde, fire off a few rounds and then retreat a few more steps. This fire and manouver tactic was well versed by all in the Adeptus Arbites. It bought his comrades a few moments to retreat as he gave them covering fire.

It was then that he noticed a man not like the warp tainted rest of the crew, this guy was normal. 'You there! Have you any weapons?'
The man didn't look like he belonged here, his manner of clothing was not from this ship. But he was a fighter; Kreiger could tell by the way the man stood.
'Follow me we're heading back to the armory!'

He returned his attention to the advancing horde and fired off more rounds.
Was there a flamer in the armory? He thought about his own actions there as he grabbed his kit. BY THE THRONE! He had moved a tank of Promethium out of his way to check a storage locker. There must be a flamer in there somewhere!
'Guys, there's a flamer alright, I saw the fuel tanks!'

Van Evok, after running into armory quickly scanned the lockboxes, and found one marked with his name. Fortunately the ammo belts were fully stocked when he arrived here. He had a feeling that they will need all the ammo they can get.
He looked around again and found a big locker with "special issue" tag. He took a step back, blasted off the padlock and opened it. Here was the flamer, along with plasma gun and meltagun.
He turned to his unknown fellow in arbites uniform, and pointed to the open locker:
"Somebody ordered hot stuff?"

The grenade was not one of the best methods to be used in situations like this, including the fact they were on a air-tight ship in the vacuum of space. After feeling the heat wave and the shock-wave of the discharge of the grenade, Sergeant Sadol was quick to cover their retreat as he would shoot any mutants that were foolish enough to round the corner. He was all ready into his fourth pack when he had to reload. He kept his packs with him as he glanced around, looking for an alternate path. They needed to get to the cargo hold and quickly. He walked back into the armory and watched as several specialist weapons were produced. He saw the destructive meltagun, a devastating plasma, and the hell-razing flamer. He then looked back to the doorway and sighed as they had what they needed.

[b]"All right, listen up. We will use these, but only when necessary. Our goal is to get to the Cargohold and to get off this tin ship. We are limited on ammo, and weapons." He then glared at Kinkaid. "No explosives.. or anything too damaging. Remember, we are on a good damn ship. You could easily blow us into space." He growled as he gave the man a dark stare.

There was a few terrifying screams that came from the doorway from where they came from. He then looked to the others before nodding to the flamer. "Give them a heart warming welcome." He said as he took aim with his carbine, waiting to pick anything off that didn't get outright killed, or burned by the flamer. They would need to hurry up past the mutants and get to their goal, the note in his pocket was clear. He glanced to his chrono watch and sat they did not have too long. "Move!" He ordered as they would need to get moving.

Inquisitor Helghast studied the monitor on the Bridge, 'Captain, I know you think me rash but I need to test these new recruits to their limits.'

'You endanger my ship and my crew, I should have you shot for this!' The Captain roared from his pulpit.

'You threaten a member of the Inquisition Rufuss, not many people live long enough after that.' Helghast replied as he produced his Inquisitorial rosette, 'Or do you believe me to be just another spoiled Guilder?'

'The Warp take you Helghast you b*****d! I'd kill you where you stand if wasn't for the trouble it would cause me. The paperwork's a nightmare.' The Captain replied.

Helghast chuckled, 'Rufuss old friend I will ensure no harm comes to your ship, I will pay for the repairs when we reach our destination. You have my word.'
He returned to the holoscreen, 'You can re-establish the Gellar field now, they should be capable of dealing with the remainder. I'll meet them down in the hangar bay.'

The man in black longcoat and fancy hat matching the attire strode across the hallway, stopping to blast the head off a manically cackling, bunny hopping crew member. For all he know, the target could be just insane from the witnessed event, but he didn't survive in the underhive that long by taking unnecessary risks. As they neared - judging by the signs - Hangar bay 3 A, he suddenly stopped.
"Do we have anyone who can pilot a shuttle?" "I am as eager as any of you to get off this little piece of hell, but I am not about to start lessons in orbital freefall"

Kreiger picked up the flamer and connected the fuel pipe to the promethium backpack. He hoisted the canisters up onto his back and ignited the pilot light. He was greeted with the sour tang of burning promethium.
He took a moment to light a lho stick from the end of the nozzle before stepping out of the armory and catching up with his comrades.
He saw a group of mutants trying to get at them from a side corridor and he engulfed them in white hot flames.

The sickly oily smell of the warp started to recede and the maddening chattering noise at the back of his mind faded away.
Praise the Throne that's stopped' He thought as he washed another side corridor with flames.

Frowning at the reprimand he received from the Sergeant,' incendiary grenades were designed for bunkers and ship born combat sir' he nearly snapped but held his tongue, deciding that it would not do to argue with a comrade in the middle of an active combat zone. so he simply stated " yes sir." before turning his attention to the weapons that had been found in the armory. giving the weapons a once over he grinned maliciously thinking of the havoc these would reap among there foe, especially with his training. 'I want them all' he thought for a moment before realizing that he already had more than enough in the way of weapons, glancing at the sergeant as if to ask for permision he said " we should bring them with us just in case we need them further down the hall, it would not do to run in to some... thing that has enough armor to shrug off gunfire and flame when we could melt or blast our way though." turning away, he began to reload his shotgun alternating the load with amputater shotgun shells and regular 00 Groxshot. racking the charging handle Kinkaid smiled as the weapon let loose a satisfying click. knowing that it he was ready and nodding to the others who had joined there small group of surviviors, Kinkaid fell in to step next to Kreiger his shotgun raised once more, poised to provide support and cover fire for the special weapons user. it wouldnt do for him to get swarmed... 'like Marlow..No...' shaking his head from side to side to clear that train of thought Kinkaid opened fire on a small pack of... things that seemed to accordion down the corridors. the amputater shells were devastatingly effective severing limbs and rupturing torsos with frightening ease. " Which way to the hanger?" he called out to the rest of the group.

Kreiger looked to Kavon, 'You seem to be better than most at navigating. Any ideas?'
He checked the fuel gauge on the flamer, there was enough fuel to get them through Throne only knew what lay ahead of them. He hoped.

It seemed that the group was progressing very well, moving together in unison, as if they have all been with each other for a very long time, but wasn't true. It was the reality of the dangers and the threats on their lives that they rallied together, and the Sergeant was the obvious leader. H signaled them to move ahead as he reloaded his fifth cell pack. He only had four more left. He all ready went to as far as reducing his fire power to nearly half, just to conserve. It seemed that the enemy was going to not let them through, but this was their only path.

After the series of weapons fires and monstrous screams, the ground began to walk down a large corridor, more fitted for large cargo to be brought through. Kavon already knew where they were looking for. The dimly lit bay markers were almost distorted, but he could make out the numbers and the letters. When they came to Hangar 3A, he stopped as he looked at the marker down and glances down the doors. He then separated from the group to come to another heavy set door that was shut. He pulled out the note from his breast pocket and examined it. He reached over and pulled the door switch to open the large doors. Kavon then dropped the note, labeled '3C' and proceeded to walk into the center carefully, aiming everywhere. But the one thing that did not make sense to him, was the fact there was no bodies, no wreckage, and the worst part, the entire center of the bay was empty, no cover.

With the group with him, he suddenly saw what troubled him, the nearly invisible barrels of dozen of weapons trained on them. Well-concealed snipers, all trained to kill them if they resist. Kavon never noticed them when they came in, but now knew why. They used the panic of the monsters to deceive them. Now the truth was unfolded, and Kavon simply dropped his carbine to the ground as he glanced to the others. "Go ahead and drop them..." He said as he nodded to the weapons. "They already have us covered.... I counted forty-two... and that is only the ones I can see. There is a heavy stubber nest at the pallets, and another above in a crane nest. There is also heavy bolter behind me."

He clearly gave the room a quick scan and was able to depict just the most dangerous gun nests. He did find it amusing that the note he was given should have been a warning never to go to, but it was too late, and the fact this was made, raised questions on to what was going on. It was then that his questions were going to be answered when a tall figure approached them. A significant individual.
