We all take off our shoes before we get in our house. Especially upstairs. But sometimes I forget stuff in the morning and I'm too lazy to put my shoes back on so I just wear them upstairs. Then get yelled at. sweatdrop

Yeah... I've been doing all my life (taking my shoes off when I go into the house that is), but it's not jsut for Asians... Martha Stewart makes her guest do it (take their shoes off !!!) when they go to her house to... Asians are not the only "neat freaks" out there !!!!

I always take my shoes off when I go into the house. ^^; I've been taught to do that since I was little to keep the house clean. I always do that when I go to any family member's house. I usually ask if I should take my shoes off or anything, too, when I go over anybody else's house. (I also tell people to take their shoes off in my house, too.) I definitely think it's an Asian thing.
My parents are into the slipper thing. I usually walk around barefoot or with socks on. 3nodding
